Summary: Better than the Grinch
Review: The Cat in the Hat was better than The Grinch. The Cat in the Hat was more funnier and clever than the Grinch.Mike Myers stars as The Cat in the Hat that arrives in Sally and Conrad's house to have fun, But the fun dosen't look fun after Conrad opens the box that turns their house into The Cat's world, also Lawrence Quinn decides to send Conrad to boot camp.trouble starts when the Cat messes up their house,Thing 1 and 2 mess up the house worser than before. The Cat most help to clean the house. the jokes and adult humor wasn't for children because the humor was more adult than kid humor.this is more for 10-15 year old's.

Summary: I hate "The Cat in the Hat", but Dakota Fanning rocks!
Review: Dakota Fanning, future ruler of all the universe, has let down her loyal following by appearing in this piece of tripe! Want to see a good Dakota Fanning movie? Rent/buy anything but this! Good art direction, but the performers are wasted-Dakota, Mike Myers, Spencer Breslin, et. al., all that talent gone to waste in this craptacular film. Oh, Dakota, please promise us your loyal viewing public that your next picture won't stink like this one!!! Please, if a Fanning has to appear in a lousy film, let it be Elle-she was in "Daddy Day Care", so she should be used to it by now! Honestly, if your films are as bad as this one, I may be forced to switch my presidential vote from you to Emma Watson-she's from the U.K., so she could never be elected-but I am hoping that if enough people write in your name, they will waive the archaic and capricious "35-years-old to be President" rule, and the U.S. could see a Dakota Fanning presidency! Fanning in 2004! Let's get out the vote, and bring peace and harmony to the world!

UltraLord has spoken!

Summary: This movie stinks!!!!!!!!!
Review: I can't even begin to explain how terrible this movie really is.

This really soils the charm of Dr. Seuss's legacy of children's books by turning the charmingly fun book "The Cat In The Hat" into a toilet humor comedy with absolutely disgusting stabs at gross humor and failing miserably at being funny.

This is not for children to see by any stretch of the imagination.

Even for those who aim to see brainless fun, "Cat In The Hat" is stupid even on a low IQ level.

Avoid this movie at all costs! This is the greatest piece of garbage that I have had the agony of seeing!

Summary: Worst movie of 2003!
Review: If you thought Dumb and Dumberer was bad, wait till you see this terrible thing. This is a movie the MST3K team should tear apart. This is an abomination. An insult to doctor suess. It's so boring, uneventful, unfunny, and well it is basically unentertaining. Nothing here is good alright. Really save your money, this movie just plain sux!!!!

Summary: The Love-Child of Austin Powers and The Cowardly Lion!
Review: Ever wondered what the off-spring of super spy Austin Powers and Bert Lahr's Cowardly Lion would be like? Then look no further than the title character in this bizarre movie. Filming an 'unfilmable' book must be bad enough but filming a totally plotless book of nonsense verse seems like suicide. Strangely though, this film just about works.
Seuss fans will be disappointed but Myers fans will see more than a glimpse of his most famous creation as well him hitting some real comic highs. Some near-the-knuckle gags jar slightly ("Dirty Hoe") while others are peurile to the point of unfunniness, making this movie one that may struggle to find an audience - falling between child-friendly and parent-friendly and seeming to alienate both parties.
With a fantastic design, cartoony action, a great central performance (once you get used to it) and a talking goldfish - the target audience seems to be drunken teenagers. Now that can't be a bad thing can it?

Summary: Not as dumb as people complain it to be
Review: Actually pretty good compaired to what other people say. Just because it doesn't follw the book doesn't mean it is entirely horrible.

Summary: Pathetic
Review: Another Dr. Seuss classic ruined. Why does Hollywood feel like they have to screw up everything? They take a wonderful story and turn it into a flaming pile of commercial dog poo. Even with the horrible reviews this movie is getting, it's making some big box office bank. Undoubtedly, they will mess up another Dr. Seuss story. It's unfair.

Summary: Wrong Movie for Mike Meyers
Review: I have long been a fan of Mike Meyers. He's a brilliant comedian. Unfortunately he's not Seuss material. He should really stick to adult targeted films. On the other hand, the set was ingenious. Very fun and colorful! The set saved the movie for me.

Summary: This Cat Should Stay In The Hat!
Review: The Cat In The Hat is one of the most disappointing movies of the year and one of the worst. Mike Myers should stick to balying British secret agents and leave the Dr. Seuss characters to Jim Carrey or an actor more willing to make a family film. Myers is not funny and comes off as trying way too hard, and even puts in jokes that I thought were too dirty for a movie with Dr. Seuss' name at the top of the title. The production designs are annoying and all the supporting actors come off as annoying, especially Alec Baldwin. Spencer Breslin and Dakota Fanning are good as the children, but they can't save the movie from Myers, usually a very funny actor, just not meant to play this role. Save this one for the litter box!
