Summary: We like it!
Review: Our baby (aged 5 months) really likes this one. I think the puppets are cute and some of the video sequences are really beautiful (like the clouds). The music is all classical music that has a moon, planet, or space theme (e.g. Clair de Lune by Debussy). Some of the other reviewers are disappointed because this doesn't seem to be much like the others in the series (which I don't have much experience with), but if your baby likes it that's what counts. And who can predict what one baby will find fascinating and another dull?

Summary: My daughter *loves* this video!
Review: This has got to rank up there with one of the best baby purchases I have made. My very hard to entertain 6 month old is absolutely enthralled by this video. It gets two or three showings a day at our house. The music selections are great, the Baby Galileo character is adorable, and the visual images are very good. I highly recommend this video. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews.

Summary: VERY DISAPPOINTED
Review: Like most Baby Einstein enthusiasts, I ran out and bought the newest thinking it would be as spectacular as the rest. WRONG!
My daughter barely made it through the opening. She didn't want to have anything to do with it. She walked away! The whole feel and look of the video was different. It almost didn't even seem like a Baby Einstein video! One of the things that drew me to the collection in the first place was the "real world" feeling that the videos offered. But this one was all fluff. It seriously missed the mark.

Summary: Really Disappointed
Review: This video is definitely not up to par when compared to the rest of the Baby Einstein series. I was so excited to get the new video and after watching it, I was extremely disappointed. It feels very "Disneyfied". There are no real puppets anymore...just animated ones. The music is just re-used from other videos. All in all, it didn't really hold his attention for more than about 10 minutes. Don't waste your money on this one!

Summary: HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: When we saw that Baby Einstein had another video out, we had to get it. We have all of the other ones and our children love them. HOWEVER, we were truly disappointed with this one. First of all, the music doesn't flow at all. Seems like they just took excerpts from the other videos and slapped it altogether. You can use music from different composers, but you need to match it to your objects and have it flow throughout the video. What I thought was the ending of this video, it wasn't. Secondly, although the first baby einstein videos were low budget, I thought they were great and the picture quality was much better than whatever Disney used, and they captured their audience: babies & toddlers. Disney screwed this one up, big time! My 10-month old lost interest very soon. This deserves no stars! Julie, we need you back!!!

Summary: Not Their Best
Review: As the mother of a wonderful 10 month old baby girl, I can say that we both love the Baby Einstein line of books and videos. Baby Galileo looked promising. After several viewings, however, my daughter resorted to pulling all of the magazines off of the coffee table for the millionth time which proved to be much more stimulating. Try Language Nursery of World of Animals. They truly capture her imagination as do the books Neighborhood Animals, Cats, and Babies.

Summary: My daughter enjoys this DVD
Review: I agree with other reviewers that this DVD is different from the rest of the series, but my 3 month old daughter finds it fascinating. Yes, she is younger than the recommmended age, but the beauty of the Einstein videos is that they work on many levels for different ages. I like the fact that they have combined real-life photos and toys that fall under the same theme. This helps children to categorize various objects into like subjects. This requires parents to take a more active role in explaining to the child what is happening.
After reading reviews for many of the Baby Einstein DVDs, I have come to the conclusion that you have to figure out which ones work best for you and your child. You'll love some, you'll be using others as coasters, it varies as much as children and their tastes do.

Summary: VERY disappointing for a Baby Einstein video
Review: I was really excited when I heard that a new Baby Einstein video was available. We have the whole series for our 15 month old son, who especially loves Baby Newton and Shakespeare. However, when we watched this video, I was really disappointed. It just wasn't as interesting and engaging as the other videos. My son usually will dance, clap, talk and point to the images on the TV and sing along with the children, but Baby Galileo didn't hold his attention at all. It didn't seem to have the imagination and creative oomph that the other videos in the series have. Something was definitely missing in this video and though I think Disney is ok, they seriously messed up the originality of Julie Aigner-Clark's vision.

Summary: Not The Baby Einstein You Know And Love
Review: My husband and I were excited to show our son this video, but were quickly disappointed as we watched toys move too quickly across the screen, cropping off the puppet's tale in the first segment, and frames skipping--the overall video was very choppy, although some of the stock video didn't seem quite as choppy. Gone is the low-budget charm.

This DVD is as bad as if not worse that the cheesy baby newton video and is inappropriate for children under 5 years of age! There's no fluidity and the music is the same ol' stuff from all the other BE videos. I can't imagine the people who both produced and edited this video have kids---there's nothing captivating about this DVD whatsoever. It feels like it's been edited more like an MTV video rather than and educational video. I wonder if Disney did any focus testing--you wouldn't know it if they did. I will definitely tell my friends and family not to ever buy this video.

Summary: Great for bedtime!
Review: My son Will loved the beautiful images and music in Baby Galileo - he also found the kangaroo puppets playful and fun. Compared to his favorite Baby Neptune where he gets animated and excited, this video seems to relax him which is perfect before bedtime. This is another winner from our favorite infant company and we are happy they have a video to relax him before he goes to sleep.
