Summary: Fabulous
Review: Anthony boot scootin' was the cutest thing. Greg is adorable as always. We love the Wiggles and this video is the best.

Summary: Ice Cold...
Review: Being DIE HARD WIGGLES fans, we purchased Cold Spaghetti Western because it was the WIGGLES... Don't waste your money.
It's pretty bad and usually they are right on! My three kids (2,3,4 yrs) left the room!?! Usually, they are GLUED to the Wiggles. Too much talking, not enough songs, and a inconsistent "plot." Try Top of the Tots, Wiggle Bay, Hoop de Doo, or even Space Dancing before buying this one!

Summary: Are the Wiggles Growing Up???
Review: First off, I have to say that I have only seen this DVD one-and-a-half times, as opposed to titles like "Wiggles Magical Adventure" which I have probably seen over 100 times. I'm sure that as I see it more, it will grow on me as the other Wiggle discs did, but that makes it hard to write an "objective" review. So, this is based on first impressions. It is a Very Good disc, high production values, clean video (letterboxed!), etc. BUT -- this is not a disc I would recommend to "first-timers". Our daughter is 19 months old, and LOVES the Wiggles. As a result, my wife & I have purchased, and watched (& memorized) virtually every Wiggles disc there is. Over the last several (new) discs, the Wiggles seem to be... maturing, if that's possible. The story lines are more complex, the songs, while still child-oriented, are more complex and less sing-songy. As a result, I could imagine someone unfamiliar with the Wiggles seeing this movie and just not "getting it". It is written on several levels, however, and there are a few jokes and visuals thrown around that only the adults will understand. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wiggles release a tape aimed at adults within the next year or two -- which I will be the first person to buy! Don't get me wrong, the Wiggles are great, but they're aiming a little higher than they used to. If your children like the Wiggles, watch the shows on TV, or have seen some of their long-form shows (like Magical Adventure or Wiggle Bay), then get Cold Spaghetti Western, by all means! If they are not familiar with the Wiggles, I would start with something like Toot Toot, or Wiggly Wiggly World (my favorite!), since those are lighter, with more songs & less complication.

Summary: We love the Wiggles, but we're disappointed with this video
Review: First, let me say that we're major Wiggles fans in our house: our copies of the videos "Wiggle Bay," "Hoop-Dee-Doo" and "Yummy Yummy" get played over and over. That said, however, "Cold Spaghetti Western" was a disappointment to us (just like the other recent Wiggles video "Tops of the Tots"). These recent videos have an assembly-line quality about them -- the songs aren't memorable, the personalities of the Wiggles don't come through like they do in the older videos, and the adult professional dance troupe the Wiggles work with now is quite annoying (it was much nicer when they were doing the dancing themselves and having amateur children as dancers). Our advice is to check out the older videos -- the production values aren't as high but they have a lot more charm, originality and Wiggly joie de vivre than this one.

Summary: Wiggly review
Review: Getting a new Wiggles DVD is always like a great journey. They always excel in the quality of catchy tunes. This one is a short story about Alfonso, the Fair and the secret ingredient for his master pasta. The storyline is good and the tunes are great! We also enjoyed 'Postcard from Asia' with backstage footage of their trip through Asia,Japan and the Great Wall of China. Unlike Space Dancing, this video is to watch almost everyday

Summary: Wiggles have hit an all time low with this movie.
Review: I am sad to say that the Wiggles have hit an all time low. This movie is an example of just milking their fame for all that it's worth. The music is terrible, the storyline boring, and the Wiggles themselves are just not "wiiggly". What ever happened to the cheerful and clever Wiggle World? What happened to the time when Captain Feathersword actually WAS a pirate!? Now he's reduced to a supporting character that is totally out of character! When was the last time we could call "Wake Up Jeff!" and watch Jeff jump up and down and do silly things? Wiggle World seems to have faded into a memory and with it so has the Wiggles ability to produce high quality, entertaining videos. The production values, music, story, sets... just about everything is terrible. The Wiggles just aren't the wiggles any longer. I highly advise that people stay away from this movie. It really is THAT bad!

Summary: My daughter is addicted
Review: I bought this dvd for my 2 1/2 yr old daughters birthday last year and she LOVES it. I find it extremely annoying (basing that I keep getting the songs stuck in my head, but I love the line "Do you hear the drums Fernando?" which only ABBA fans will recognize). However my daughter loves it and attempts to watch it 3 or more times a day. Young kids will love it but be prepared to make it "magically" dissappear for a while so your brain doesn't explode.

Summary: Son shows no interest at all!
Review: I bought this for my 18 month old son along with Wiggles Bay and he is CAPTIVATED by Wiggles Bay - yet when I put in the Cold Spaghetti Western - he leaves the room to play with his toys! The video is possibly intended for older children - yet honestly - I was bored with this video too. There is too much going on with all the different cultures! Not the typical Wiggles Movie and I was so disappointed I'm sending it back for an exchange with the makers!

Summary: Not the Best of the Wiggles
Review: I guess just about everyone feels the same about this video. We LOVE the Wiggles. We sing their songs all the time. Their videos are the most watched in our house by far! But, this time they missed the boat. The songs are forced, not catchy, dumb. The storyline is pathetic. I am sad for the Wiggles, until now we thought they were perfect. Anyway, buy a different Wiggles movie and skip this one. OH>>>> but I have to admit, yes, it's true, my toddler is plastered to the tv when this one is on too, he enjoys, I don't.

Summary: Catchy music but just a bit odd
Review: I know that they have real cowboys in Australia, but there is something unsettling about seeing Aussie cowboys with a Mexican mariachi band standing in front of stone cottages that quite obviously did not originate within 8,000 miles of the American frontier.

This oddness continues throughout the "Cold Spaghetti Western" DVD. There is no plot except for the small bit where the Wiggles have to help their friend Alfonso (the "Mastah Pasta-Makah from I-ta-lee") get more of his Secret Ingredient for his pasta in time for the Fiesta (huh? Spanish again?) cookoff. They throw in an Austin Powers-style dance number as Captain Feathersword whales away at a drumset in the middle of the bush (er, range). Most of the songs, whether new or traditional, are catchy enough but in an annoying way. Hearing "Patito" is enough to make you want to go duck hunting with a Howitzer, right then and there; the bizarre chorus line at the end of "Master Pasta-Maker from Italy" will haunt your dreams.

There are a couple of amusing points in the low-key action, however, where one might suspect the Wiggles of playing to the bored-mommy set. One of them is the "Fastest Banana in the West" contest, which always makes me snigger; the other is a brilliant, gratuitous nod to an ABBA song (see if you can spot it; it's just before the drumming dance number).

Your children will probably love this DVD; you will probably want to burn it at your next barbecue.
