Summary: My six month old loves it!
Review: Though I am a proponent of actually playing with your child instead of throwing multimedia at them, I must say that this DVD is a real blessing! Every once in a while when I really need to get some work done around the house, I can pop Baby Mozart in and count on a half hour of my daughter's attention being riveted to the TV screen. The other features of the DVD, such as the language center are a definite plus. I've learned a lot of vocabulary from it (now I can say "cat" in 10 languages - and thus qualify for a cushy job at the UN), and my daughter seems to enjoy the language center as well. All-in-all, I would say that this is a great purchase - and I don't get that "am I worshipping the devil by watching this" feeling that Teletubbies gives me.

Summary: We are so happy we found this video!
Review: I had read on a chat line for new Mother's that this video was great for the baby who was fussy at night. I have to admit, after tapes of music, ways to hold your baby, and many suggestions, we were ready to try anything that might help. When our daughter was 4 months old we bought this video. It was truley a blessing. Our baby watched it from begining to end everyday. I gave us a much needed break and we believe it is very educational at the same time. Our daughter is now 15 months old and is past that nightime fussy stage but still enjoys the viseo a coupleof nights a week. My Husband and I often said that this video was the best thing we ever bought! We only wished we had known of it was even sooner.

NOTE: we also purchased Baby Einstein and Bach, she isn't nearly as interested in them.

Summary: Baby Mozart is an Excellent Purchase
Review: I had heard a lot of hype about the Baby Einstein range before I ever saw or heard the product itself. I was underwhelmed by what I first saw. My son also seemed less than interested when I first showed it to him at 6 months. Now, however, at 10 months he LOVES THIS VIDEO. He sits quietly and coos or laughs out loud. Many of the kids videos I've seen make me cringe at their content. I'm not a great fan of 'video as babysitter' but Tiernan enjoys relaxing at the end of the day with Baby Mozart et al and I can get the family dinner made without the usual evening craziness.

Summary: Baby Mozart and Baby Bach - the best!
Review: This video as well as Baby Bach are the best. My 9 month old grandson had a lot of medical problems when he was born and from the age of two weeks, he watched (listened) to these tapes. At times, they were the only thing that quieted him. Even now, when he is particularly fussy, either tape is popped in and he is mesmerized. The color, music, quietness is soothing and wonderful. To me it doesn't matter if they make your child "smarter" they are just great tapes and I highly recommend them.

Summary: The music is beautiful, but the video is sad and empty
Review: This is just my opinion because I know a lot of people love this video...The music is wonderful, but I feel the video leaves a lot to be desired. My son was mesmerized when we watched this, but it felt very unsatisfying as a parent to have him stare at a video showing a succession of toys on the screen. For example, the video shows a plastic train going around on its track, a close-up of a (kinda junky) plastic solar system model, a close-up of a turning plastic merry-go-round...It feels like a long Toys R Us commercial to me. They even recap at the end of the video and show each toy and the manufacturer. The toys aren't particularly cute and the filming feels amateur-ish.

The toys are broken up by quick visits from hand puppets, but more than one of them startles my son to tears when they appear. They jump and make scary noises which is probably funny to older kids, but not my little guy.

The music is beautiful and stands on its own without the toy commercial. The video boasts that it features real-world objects. I, personally, would rather have my son watch a video with live butterflies than one with plastic butterflies tied with fishing line turning in a circle backwards. It felt sad and empty to me to watch this video.

My son was entranced and quieted by the video, so if that's what you're looking for, this does do the trick.

Summary: Good - but....
Review: There is one major flaw with this product. The music is wonderful and well produced. It is gentle and soothing to match the simple (yet perfectly hypnotizing to your little guy or gal). The problem is that in two different sections (the music stops) and a hand puppet and giant spider on a string jump out and make a HUGE SCARRY NOISE! They scare the living daylights out of my child and make him physically jump and cry. If it wasn't for those two sections - I would reccommend the product. But - in reality - I cannot.

Summary: Wonderful stuff!
Review: Our daughter (just turned 1) just loves this video. It is amazing to see a baby, who normally has the attention span of, well, a baby, just sit right down and watch a whole video. She has her favorite parts (like the dragon puppet sticking his tongue out, or the dinosaur bowing). My wife and I can make her laugh by mimicking the video. I don't know why she is so fixated by the video, but it works!

Summary: What a bargain!
Review: I am an expectant mother who purchased the DVD of Baby Mozart. My husband and I watched it over the weekend and were captivated by the ever-changing, vibrant images and wonderful music. For those who own a DVD player, you get so much more with the DVD version. There is a section that teaches vocabulary in English and about 10 other languages, and you also have the ability to listen to the musical tracks without the visuals. It is a wonderful learning tool with music that is both fun and soothing. I can't wait for my new baby to watch this great DVD!

Summary: This video is a Godsend!
Review: My 2 1/2 month old already loves this and Baby Bach! I put him in the bouncy seat and put in the tape, and he is entranced with it. He watches the screen, bounces and coos with delight. Sometimes this is the only way I can get a chance to eat breakfast!

Summary: My almost 4 year old still loves it!!
Review: My almost 4 year old (will be 4 in May 2001) received it as a gift for his 2nd birthday, and he *still* loves to watch it. His little brother, who just turned 2, is fascinated by it. My youngest, who is almost 3 months old, giggles and stares at it too (he seems to enjoy it, but it's hard to ask him what he really thinks!).

It was and still is is a wonderful way for my sons to learn vocabulary (I watch along with them and tell them what all the things are) and enjoy the sights and sounds of the music.

The other day I was downloading some Mozart songs (MP3s) that are in the video and my 2 year old ran up and pointed at the computer and yelled "Baby Mozart!" I think it is just great that they recognize and appreciate the music. Who cares about the theory of it improving intelligence -- it's just a great video. We also have Baby Bach and Baby Santa's Music Box (which they love to watch in all seasons).
