Summary: Primer paso...

Summary: Astounding! But why no DVD?
Review: As others have said, this masterpiece should be in DVD format. Who can we write to get this to happen? If there could only be one movie in DVD, this would be it.

Summary: Absolutely mesmerizing
Review: I actually saw Baraka on cable and only saw part of it. I too felt as if it was a meditation on the diversity of the world. It made me feel that there are many different ways that people live their daily lives, and no one way is right or wrong. It makes me realize how insignificant we really are here in the U.S. when you are able to see lives around the entire globe. The soundtrack is also very moving. I wouldn't mind having that to listen to while I'm in rush hour traffic.

Summary: Astounding
Review: This is a movie of absolute brilliance. Not only should it be shown in schools, but also seen by every other person. The intensity and exactness was astounding and touching. Learning not only about the world but also about yourself is wonderful and frightening. The scenes from around the world are captured with such honesty and put together with music to match. A masterpiece that will be hard to beat.

Summary: One of the best films ever, aside Koyaaniquatsi
Review: A truly amazing film that borders on hypnotic. If you have never seen then you are missing something that will change the way you look at life. The widescreen Laserdisc version is much better though. Hopefully the DVD will be out real soon.

Summary: Mesmerizing---the ultimate sensory experience in cinema.
Review: This movie explores our spiritual and material connection to the universe as individuals and communities. A silent film narrated by the stunning camera work and accompanying soundtrack. I felt hypnotized and found myself glued to a friend's couch after having announced that I needed to go as I have so much to do....I will watch this periodically to remind myself of the lesson contained within this mesmerizing film...
