Review: Jim Carrey's first staring role in a drama was wonderful. He has successfully made the transition from goof-ball comic to serious actor. It's great to see a well thought out and original story made into a movie. Ed Harris does a remarkable job as Christof and Peter Weir's amazing camera work, including the odd "hidden camera" angles are enough to please any film student. One of the best films of the year!

Review: I imagine that thousands of "Dumb and Dumber" fans went to see this wonderful movie and totally missed the point. When I went to see it, there were many parents with young children who thought they were going to see "Mask 2" and left before the end, totally dumfounded. There was nothing funny about this film. It was thought prevoking and sinister but handled brilliantly. I found myself becoming more and more mesmerised as the plot unravelled. This was the best film of the year with the greatest performances yet by Jim Carrey and Ed Harris.

This movie is telling us what is the true freedom and what is the truth of your life.
