Summary: Waste of money
Review: I am a huge anime fan, and I have seen a great deal of anime. This is very pretty to look at, and that is where anything good ends. The dubbing is terribly done. We couldn't help cringing at many of the voice actors. Also, like too many DVDs, the backgrounds noises, sound effects and music drowned out the talking. We were constantly turning the TV to hear talking than quickly turning it down again during a loud action sequece.

Summary: vampire hunter D , GOTHSTAR .
Review: directed by yoshiaki kawajiri, the acclaimed director of ninja scroll.vampire hunter d bloodlust is about a half human half vampire bountyhunter,d ,who's chasing after a vampire who abducted a daughter of a rich man.he is also trying to beat the other team of bountyhunters, the markus brothers,in saving her.
beautifully directed, and full of the breathless and breathtaking action scenes kawajiri is famous for.the action over substance kawajiri is famous for.but it's still a very enjoyable film.

a sequel to 1985 vampire hunter d .there is a short cameo by the snakewomen of midwitch in this sequel,in the scene when d enters barbarois city.
based on the novel ashai sonorama by hideyuki kikuchi.it is not the first time kawajiri adapts a kikuchi novel.wicked city is also based on a novel by the same writer.

along with the usuall making of and trailers in the extra features, you'll get fans favorite scenes and the storyboard to feature comparison.

is it better than part one?
budget-wise, yes .a lot better.

if you are a first timer to anime ,you'll love this film.
if you already are an anime fan, you'll like it too.like a nice summer action movie .

Summary: The Anime That Got Me Into Anime
Review: Bloodlust was the first anime I'd ever sat down and watched. Little did I know that when I got up I'd be an anime fan for life. Bloodlust is everything and anime movie one shot should be.

D is a striking looking half vampire whose mission in life is to kill vampires. He's called in on a mission to bring back a young noblewoman supposedly kidnapped by a vampire named Meier. What no one seems to know is that Charlotte and Meier are in love and have planned their escape, ending up in the castle of the vampiress, Lady Bathory. Unfortunately for Meier and Charlotte they don't realize the countess is bent on treachery. It's D's job to hunt them down, which he does, of course.

D is the strong silent type character, rarely speaking unless he has to and fairly cold to everyone, yet the half vampire can somehow wring sympathy out of even cold hearted viewers as he quietly has to deal with prejudice aimed towards him and the inevitable pain of immortality that he carries. The deal he makes with another vampire hunter to put flowers on the grave of whoever died first is startling and poignient, as it shows that D really is human after all, with compassion towards others as lonely as he is and with a longing for friendship of some kind. There is also the tragic star crossed love of Charlotte and Meier who add another facet to the human/ vampire conflict as it becomes obvious that Meier really does love Charlotte.

Call it a horror movie, call it a bit of a western, Bloodlust is a sharply packaged, quick moving anime that is a good way for new comers to be introduced to the genre.

Review: To all anime fans, I have seen alot and alot of animation so far and Believe me nothing like Vampire Hunter D-BloodLust at all, I admit it there are some GREAT ones as well such as: Samurai X "my favoraite so far" and Ninja Scroll but when it comes to fair.. its D. If you have checked the first part of vampire Hunter D then I'm quite sure you are disappointed but you surely are going to change your mind when you see this BloodLust one! Its freaky that some friends of mine even dare to compaire that silly Inuyasha to either Kenshin or D! I have be an anime fan for more than 20 years so trust me in that. Enjoy it.. Snake

Summary: A very pretty movie
Review: Ok I just have to say this. My and my friend, we watched this movie with the sound off. And you know what? It was still very enjoyable. This movie is all about the art. The story is merely an excuse to have a dark, very badass anti-hero walk around acting like a badass in a visually interesting and pleasing environment. I didn't know until after I rented this movie that it only comes dubbed in English, and it really threw me off. I HATE dudding... which is why I had the sound off. The dubbing on this is about as good as can be expected, although of lesser quality than Princess MOnonoke or Akira. The dialogue is terrible and a bit confusing at times, and the plot... well the plot is basic and not terribly important. Rent this movie if you want to look at something pretty and nicely animated.
