Summary: The best anime ever
Review: I saw this movie in the theater (Shocking!). It was sooooo good. The first movie was a bit goofy but this one was great. The plot, the Bishies, the coolness. I would sugest it to any one and every one!

Summary: Better than the first movie
Review: The first movie was good, but this one was much better. Incredible art, wild action, and a great story. There's a little twist at the end that's great. I loved the evil countess in the castle. The English language dub doesn't detract from the story too much, except for the talking hand. It sounds a little bit like Michael Keaton from Beetleguise. Overall, this is a stunning movie, full of thrills and chills.

Summary: BEST NEW FILM
Review: When i first saw Vampire hunter D, i thought it was the best anime i had ever seen, in my opinion the animation was amazing(i saw the movie in 1991, the movie was made in 1985). It has absolute everything: a simple yet interesting story, contains good dialogues, good music and of course the clasic dramatic effects seen in vampire stories.
first of all, the hero ¨d¨is one of the coolest heros around; he's powerful, a man of honor, and a man with lots of pain in his life since he can't live with humans and yet he's not a nightcreature.

Vampire hunter D:bloodlust is just another adventure of ¨D¨, the action scenes are really nice and the animation is great, i don't know why many people do not agree, i even thought the animation was better than ¨blood:the last vampire movie¨, and of course D remains as the coolest hero. Maybe the only thing that is missing in this film is a better storyline and more dialogues; however is not disapointing in that aspect, is just that if you compare the storyline with the first film, the first one is more superior.
In my opinion, if they would make a remake of the first Vampire Hunter Film, it would be the best Anime ever easily.

Summary: Incredible.
Review: This was easily the best anime I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of the original, but this one was sooooo much better. Not only in the visuals, which were breathtaking (every frame should be hung in a museum), but in the story as well. The twisting plotline and character interactions suck you into the story, making this in my opinion not only the best animated film ever made from any country, but also one of the most memorable films in quite some time. Buy this movie now.

Summary: Bloodlust is what anime is all about
Review: This is the best follow-up I've ever seen! As a sequel it stands alone. On it's own it can hold without the previous movie. Originally I was under the impression this was set before the last movie. After seeing I understand how people can get the misconception. The imagery is exquisite and the characters are real. You have to appreciate the way anime doesn't WASTE time with cheap songs to sell their art...I'm not jaded because of anime, it's the facts! If you love animation done right you'd never watch another Disney cartoon again. This might make you change your mind like I did, long ago.

Summary: The American Anime
Review: Well this is decidedly not the traditional Japanese Anime. It has an American/Western asthetic to it. Excellent dialogue for the most part unlike most english langauge anime. The art is nothing short of amazing. The story while somewhat shallow is enough to move the story along and is fairly easy to follow relative to other Japanese Anime. No weird alien space gods coming outta nowhere to extend the action or such. Neither is there the usual oddly patronizing underlying theme of the world in peril or something insatiably far fetched.
On the whole Bloodlust is nice alternative to the horror anime out there. It's still has some spooky elements without resorting to non-sense or something beyond the general stream of thought and this is a good thing. Very enjoyable and great action. Maybe a bit short but hey nothings perfect, right?

Summary: VHD: Bloodlust
Review: I saw this movie a while back in a theater and I thought it was great. Despite what some people think it is not the same story as the first Vampire Hunter D... nor is it an actual sequel. It is simply a new story with D. The story is really good, the animation is superb and though the original language recorded is English I would have still liked it if they put the the Japanese track on the dvd that was also recorded. Not to say that the voice acting was bad, but I guess I'm just more used to watching D speak Japanese. The voices are actually pretty good and it's some of the best english voice acting I've heard in a while. It is violent, but not as bloody as the first so you don't have to worry about gore to much if you're squeemish. Well worth the price in my opinion and if you're an anime fan then you have no doubt seen the original and if you liked that you will love this. If you've never see the original then this is still a great movie to own.

Summary: A great movie, better animated than the first!
Review: Now I don't own this DVD but I have seen the movie. It is the same story as the first Vampire Hunter movie, a duaghter of some guy gets kidnapped by a vampire and he has to get her back! But D is in competition with another group of people to find her. The animation in this movie is amazing, I mean its great! The atmosphere is good and dark like it should be! The monsters are better looking, the characters are cooler and Vampire HUnter D is much better, his voice is better, his horse, his skin color! Please if you have seen the first movie and don't feel like watching this because the animation wasn't good enough for you then try this out (not to say the first D movie wasn't!).

Summary: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Review: Amazingly detailed, most beautifull artwork you will ever see in an anime movie. Full of poetic scenes, cannot take your eyes of the movie. They really worked on this one. I have seen it over and over and I notice new things everytime, I would recomend this to anyone who is into the vampire scene, or any anime fan. With this movie, there will be way more anime fans. I would give this movie 10 stars, but my limit is 5. Definately cannot pass up this movie up. How is it compared to the first one, cannot compare they are both good in they're own way. Really good story line, with a surprise ending. Best anime movie to date.

Summary: Wow
Review: I had seen the original D and liked it. I liked the story and the animation was amazing when I think of when it was made. I never cared for the girl in the original either but Bloodlust I'd almost say out preforms the orginal chapter. The animation detail and look is superb. If you are lucky enough to have it showing near you then go. It is well worth it. It seems to excel at every aspect. Backgrounds, characters, detail, Voice acting (my normal let down), and story.
