Summary: The Original Import Street Racing Movie
Review: The first time I had watched this movie I really didnt know what to expect. I was squinting and doing double-takes the whole time seeing all of the old-school import racing machines such as the Skyline RS, GTS-R, FC RX-7, GZ20 Soarer and even a Formula Firebird! Its a pretty good story line, or as good as I had expected it to be, but youre really not going to buy this movie series for the story. An odd quirk was the antagonist's girlfriend who looked 12 or 13. Seriously. The racing scenes had me guessing as to wether they were staged or actual night driving at some points but you can tell that some scenes were film that was just played at a faster rate. The series is banned in Japan because it is said to promote street racing also.
Over all its a great racing movie and i give it four out of five because of the ghetto simulated speed scenes(which dont seem to be present in the next few movies).

Review: I happen to stumbe on to this one by acdent at best buy i was looking for Initial D, and ended up getting this insted, needless to say i wasnt dissaponted the Skyline is awsome and the action feels really intense like ur in the car urself. Freeway Speedway is most defently one of the best if not the best car/ Streetracing movies ever made, I recomend it to every Car/ Racing fan out there , altho its only subtitlted , its worth it
Theres not really anything negative about this movie accept that a lot of the times when he makes the runs all you can hear is the motor mayb its for like suspence effect but i think there should be a lil more music
so thats why i give this one 4 out of 5 stars
