Rating: Summary: Gross but hillarious! Review: If you're looking for how this movie compares with the other three "Child's Play" movies, I haven't a clue, because other than this movie, I've only seen Child's Play 3. I liked this film because it mixed horror and humor successfully. There are so many take-offs on other movies. For example, at the beginning, you see the Freddy Krueger mask from "Nightmare on Elm Street" and Jason's facepiece from "Friday the 13th." There's a part in the movie where Chucky rigs up some nails and sends them flying toward this one guy, whose face is punctured with holes. That sorry fellow looks like Pinhead from Hellraiser with all the bloody holes in his face!If there was too much gore without much humor, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed the movie. The music from Rob Zombie made the movie even better. It would be interesting if they make a "Son of Chucky" after this movie.
Rating: Summary: BRIDE OF CHUCKY (CHILD'S PLAY 4) Review: BRIDE OF CHUCKY is the fourth entry in the CHILD'S PLAY film series. That evil killer doll Chucky is back, but this time he has a new playmate - a deadly female doll possessed by the soul of his human girlfriend, Tiffany. Together, Chucky and Tiffany hitch a ride with two lovestruck teenagers, on there quest to find a magical amulet that will allow them to transfer there souls into human bodies.
Rating: Summary: This movie was Hilarious! Review: This movie was very funny, as opposed to scary. I havent laughed at a movie this hard in a while. My favorite scenes are when Chucky is flipping through the radio channels, commenting on how radio has deteriorated over the years, until he comes across Thunderkiss '65 by White Zombie! Then he says, "That's more like it" and starts rockin'. Another one is when Chucky is making fun of the young couple as they have a mushy conversation. And of course, the sex scene between the dolls. "Do you have a Rubber Chucky? What! I'm made of rubber!" and "I wouldnt date you if you had the body of GI Joe". There are some great lines here, and I would definately recommend this one to play at your next house party.
Rating: Summary: The Best of The Chucky Movies Review: I've never been a huge fan of the Child's Play films but i really like this one. while not as scary or suspenseful or creepy as the others, this movie is still the best one. The Dolls are incredible and life like and the special effects are top notch. This also had some of the greatest one liners and some of the funniest dialogue i've heard in a horror film. One of the great things about this movie is they pay so many tributes and homages to horror movies that came before it, like Halloween, and Friday the 13th and HellRaiser and even the classic Bride of Frankenstein. If you don't believe me check out the police evidence room at the beginning VERY closely. this movie even pokes fun at itself "chucky"- it's a long story,if it were a movie it would take three or four sequels to do it justice". While not up there on the horror scale, this movie is seriously entertaining. Here's hoping they make another sequel just as good if not better than this one. Jennifer tilly was great in this and if you focus on the fact that the dolls carry the story and they are the main characters and everything else is just filler, you'll like this movie a lot. Just my opinion but this movie is one of my favorites.
Rating: Summary: Good movie for being 3rd sequel Review: I enjoyed this movie alot. As an avid lover of Chucky movies...I was looking forward to a sequel being made, when Chucky's offspring jumps out at the coriner. This movie will be justice if they make a 5th installment in the Child's Play series. But as for the other 3, they are all good in my book.
Rating: Summary: "Why is the film veering off?" Review: To start off, I've never been a fan of the Child's Play films anyways. But besides the point, I saw this film a few days ago- what the heck is this????? When did Child's Play become a comedy? There is nothing scary at all in this film anymore. Back when Chucky was out hunting for Andy- it was scary, now it is just a waste. Sure, I laughed a lot, but is that what this film was meant for? Another point- After Chucky and Tiffany did "their thing" (how is that possible for plastic dolls???), how could the Tiffany doll produce a baby in less that a day??? STRANGE. The acting wreaked- (the human people), and even the visual effects sucked. From Chucky crawling on the sidewalk, to Jennifer Tilly getting electricuted in the bathtub- it was all bad. The only stars for this film go to how stupidly funny it was, and Chucky's voice. "Hi, I'm Chucky... I wouldn't see this if I were you."
Rating: Summary: The best of the "Chucky movies" Review: "Bride of Chucky" is in my opinion, the best of all the Chucky movies. Although it is not pure horror and suspense, Bride of Chucky still beats out the previous 3 Child's Play movies. The atmosphere is creepy and gothic, and there are a couple of gory death scenes. But the main appeal of this movie is its humor. I loved how Chucky and Tiffany played off each other. I also thought that the music was perfect for this movie. Instead of using a creepy musical score, they used songs from Rob Zombie and other metal groups. The features on the dvd were very good. The audio commentary with Jennifer Tilly (Tiffany), Brad Dourif (Chucky), and Don Mancini (the movie's writer) were both informative and funny. I won't give the ending away, but let's just say that it was unexpected. It was gross and sick...but it was also a perfect ending that will lead to the next Chucky movie.
Rating: Summary: Chucky Gets Lucky Review: This movie certainly isn't like any of the other Chucky movies. That much is for certain. It has horror and comedy mixed together and a rather funny, but vulgar, reference to that wicker making, cookie baking alien from another planet, Martha Stewart. Although the Tiffany doll doesn't have the housekeeping skills of Martha, she tries very hard. She is, you know, a doll. The movie isn't really scary. It's more of a twisted black comedy than anything else. It has a few horrible deaths in it, but doesn't have the horror or suspense like past sequels. Still, it is a rather odd, yet entertaining film. My niece Kadra says this one is her favorite of all time. Will it be yours?. John Ritter shows up in a cameo as the uncle of the movie's heroine. He is good. Jennifer Tilly, as Tiffany, is very watchable and good. Bride Of Chucky is totally different from the others. Watch it and see for yourself. Another one wouldn't be a bad thing.
Rating: Summary: This Movie Pretty good Review: well I always LOVED the child's play series. This one is not like the first 3. This movie has knew characters like TiFF and alot of others. the only same person from the first 3 is ChUcKy!! This movie could have been better if it had Andy back in it OR... told what happened to Andy after he went in the police car in part 3!!! I liked The Child's Play series because in the begining they showed what happened in the last chucky movie. This movie had no follow up on any of the other 3. I was kinda sad that chucky never said anything about Andy or Tyler. This movie was still funny like the others but... a little more comedy in the movie than scary. 1 other thing I didn't like about this movie is THE MUSIC. Child's play music was always the best. This was not like music that we all heard in the first 3 movies. Overall this is a very good movie. YOU should see it!!!!
Rating: Summary: It succeded where 3 went wrong Review: This movie was great. Not as good and suspenseful as one and two, but still very good. As everyone who saw all the movies knows, 3 just plain .... It was the worst one in the series. However this one is a lot more funnier and the kills are awsome. I really just wish it was more suspenseful. However this movie had the best ending of all of them. If you know the ending, you must be waiting for a sequel just like me.
