Rating: Summary: One of my favorite movies. Review: ALL RIGHT THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO SAY IS MOVE OVER WHITNEY HOUSTON HERE COMES JENNIFER LOPEZ.I THINK SHE DID A GREART JOB IN THIS MOVIE AND THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR ALL YOU SMART PEOPLE OUT THERE!
Rating: Summary: BAD ANACONDA, BAD MOVIE Review: Anaconda is such a wreck that we have to do deal with first, the acting is bad (with the exception of jennifer lopez), the special effects are awful, & the storyline as emeril lagasse says it's more like national geographic
Rating: Summary: The 1st hour's a bore, but the actors & the snake ham it up Review: Anaconda wasn't that bad, for a film that intentionally makes cheese out of snake. I bet you the director didn't know that after an anaconda eats a large animal, such as a human being, it has to lie still for up to three years before moving again, not to mention the fact that when they do, they go less than 3 miles per hour. That's quite a bit in the butt of realism, isn't it? But still, even though the first hours's a bore, and they occasionally make Jennifer Lopez look like bad, it's made up for with a pretty cool, albeit unrealistic, climax.
Rating: Summary: Waste of time for Voight. Review: Jon Voight must be broke. Why else would he be in this typical "big monster" movie? The script is weak, the effects aren't even that great, and the plot is predictable. What's Joe Buck doing in this mess? The freaks in Deliverance were a lot scarier than the snakes.
Rating: Summary: GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT Review: I believe all movies should get a chance. Most film critics don't beleive that, using hype, budget, production difficulty, and false over-expectation to shoot a movie down before it even has a chance to defend itself. And I'll admit, in it's original theatrical release I didn't give this movie much of a chance. Then I watched it on HBO and thought it was okay, better than I thought at least. The actors are good actors but they seemed to just not care about this movie, the effects are good but anaconda's couldn't never move so fast and agressivly, the story is good, but if you do a movie like this make the snake behave correctly, get actors who give a crap, and don't have such a corny human villian.
Rating: Summary: Very bad movie! Review: This movie was terrifically bad! The acting was well below average, the special effects were shoddy and the story line is weak. It is a shame this movie didn't get a R rating because it is very violent! If I were one of the actors, I would be embarassed to admit it. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone!
Rating: Summary: Jaws of the 90s Review: It's an outstanding original production of its kind. I wish the movie shows more floral & fauna around the great amazon basin and not too much focus on the snake. Fireflies were nice, a wild boar, tiger & wasp. And what about piranhas and wild flowers? They're part of the wild life, too. Anyway, the movie has its purpose to terrify viewers that anacondas kill and eat their prey including MAN?!? Jennifer Lopez shines in this movie.
Rating: Summary: If you love good movies, Anaconda is a must see! Review: I loved Anaconda. Everyone in it was a swell actor/actress. It was funny, sort of scary, and it kept you on the edge of your seat! I think this movie was one of the greatest ever!
Rating: Summary: Can't movies be just fun? Review: I've watched Anaconda a few times for the simple reason that if you let yourself go and don't analyze everything said in it, you will experience the cheap little e thrills and laughs that the directors undoubtedly intended. Don't analyze it to death and you will have some fun. Remember fun?
Rating: Summary: Do you see the satire? Review: Of course one can compare similarities to this film and "Jaws" or "Orca" and one could also say some of the special effects were not too incredibly believable. But this film should be enjoyed for what it is--a comedy. Jon Voigt does a rib-splitting performance as a ruthless poacher who doesn't take anything seriously except ... that's right! ... POACHING. Eric Stolz plays a minimal role but aren't we bored with the stereotype that the "heroine" needs a "hero" who's constantly on screen? Yes, we are. And even though they are all a bit too diverse for reality's sake, the remaining cast is great. The Jennifer Lopez and Kari Wuhrer characters prove they are more than just pretty faces--they are intelligent and resourceful. But let's not take this film too seriously. Movies should be fun--and this one is!
