Review: When one is asked to explain the question of 'Why own a DVD format?'. Show them 'BLADE'. Stephen Norrington's direction..OUTSTANDING!!..his understanding of the evolution of the 'Vampire slayer' is eye-opening. Within the first 10 minutes, we are drawn into 'BLADE's world & see that we are ALL a part of these times (bad & good) & that we will always be a part of the nature of this strange life on Earth. We will never know 'why' there is Evil...but we All have a choice in our participation.Stephen Dorff's (The Power of One) performance as the 'Vampire' legend entering the year 2000 is chilling. In this DVD we are treated to historical fact, commentaries,featurettees, deleted scenes & mind-blowing ACTION!!! A MUST-SEE on DVD!!!!

Summary: OK, but not great
Review: After two discs that would pixelate (is that a word?) from about 1:18 to 1:30, I finally got a third one and was able to watch the rest of the movie. Very gory, good effects, nice integration of technology and mythology. One and a quarter thumbs up.

Review: i saw it at the cinema and loved it i saw it on dvd and loved it even more second time around this is definitely one for a big screen, a dark room and speakers so damn loud it makes your ears bleed i now wish i was black - blade is just too cool for it's own good!

Review: From the start Blade contains some of the most kinetic fight scenes ever filmed. What's even cooler is that the lone warrior is taking on hordes of blood-sucking vampires. With lots of high-tech weaponry and super-human martial arts, as well as a healthy dosage of blood and gore, Blade is great for action and horror fans alike. The DVD itself is amazing. The supplements it contains are astonishing. Blade is the reason DVD was created!

Summary: Blade, One of the best action films I have seen to date
Review: Living in the UK generally means that the movies we see are cut to death, This is why I purchased the Region 1 disk imported from the USA. The movie is a full out romp from start to finish, Wesley Snipes was the perfect choice for the character "Blade", the special effects are fantastic, and the little touches when Blade plunges silver stakes into his victims are just the best. The twist at the end just made me want for a sequel to be available as soon as possible.

Review: This mivie kicks ***!!! Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff add a unique element to this action/horror film, one that was truly loved by myself!! It's like someone took Batman, Bruce Lee, and James Bond, and combined them al into this one movie! Kool stunts, awesome fights, and even better weapons, make this a truly great movie! I highly recommend this movie to everyone!!
