Review: Having viewed this movie a few days ago I was reminded on the similarities to the anime Vampire Hunter D. It was an interesting story line with Blade our favorite day walker creating havoc and manipulating his world to rid us of the evil vampires, and the newest foe the Reavers.I found this to be an interesting out take on the vampire theme as a new sect arises to rid the world of vampires and man kind alike. Will the shakey alliance with the vampires work to stop this greater evil? The action will keep you hooked and the plot will keep you guessing. Watch out for the twist and turns I know I was surprised in the end. My only complaint with this movie was Whisper. They did not give this character time to develop or a good enough explanation of what has happened to him. I felt chided and unfullfilled by this lack of character development. Especially after his key performance in the first Blade movie. Over all, I will say that I got what I expected from this film. A good action movie and an excellent performance by Wesley Snipes.

Summary: The best movie since the Matrix
Review: I aw this flick last Sunday, and I was utterly amazed. This flick surpasses the first one in every area. This one is also a lot scarier. Blade does some kick ... stunts, and also shows a bit of emotion. He seems like he enjoys killing undead nasties. The directing is awesome, the writing is strong, the acting is good, and the action is fast. This is the perfect sequel to an all ready good movie. Go see it.

Summary: Wesley Snipes can't look any cooler, than this...Amazing!!
Review: Here now is the release of a movie that any blade fan could tell you that was expected a LONG time ago. Wow, I wasn't actually expecting it to be this much better than the first one. I have had debates about this point, but pretty much the only reason that anyone enjoyed Blade I more than this was because of "Decon Frost"... from a girl that I know..."what a hotie". Oh ok, I will give her some credit, because If people like movies for that sort of thing....you really can't be wrong i suppose. Through and through, Blade offers everything that part I didn't. This time, Better Weapons, Same old friends & More, Vampire Alliances that make you shudder with excitement. The only actual problem with this movie is the cinema graphics (CG). Whenever there is an elaberate fighting scene in blade..(AND I DO MEAN ELABORATE) They will perform outrageous moves, and this will require CG in order to perform. Putting all of Blades' advantages and disadvantages...this movie still gets a 5 star rating and makes it a crime not to go and watch it. Enjoy! :)

Review: In what can be described only as a second-rate follow-up, "Blade II" contains all the trademarks of a sequel: absence of interesting plot, minimal character development, a foray of action sequences and special effects which attempt to outdo the original film, and the disappointment that follows once the last vampire falls (or crumbles to cinders, I should say). As an avid lover of "Blade," my interest was somewhat peaked at the thought of a sequel, which looked more promising as it comes almost five years after the first film, while most others are out in less than two. But the symptoms of sequelitis are prevalent throughout its entire, and the absence of "Blade" director Stephen Norrington, who crafted his film with impeccable style and incredible action, is felt almost immediately. Wesley Snipes returns as Blade, half-man, half vampire, known by his blood-thirsty enemies as the Daywalker. The film's structure is much like that of the previous one, beginning by showcasing our hero in an eye-popping action sequence in which several opponents are reduced to ashes amidst a display of special effects and stunts. But, unlike the rave sequence that opened Norrington's film, the alley fight seen here is less than stellar, improving on the quality of its computer-generated images, but losing the essence of what makes such a sequence exciting. From the start, Del Toro seems to be having trouble infusing his action scenes with any sort of charge or intensity. From the martial arts choreography that becomes overpowered by special effects, and a painfully dark image that makes one yearn for the flashy bravura of Stephen Norrington's sets and fight sequences, "Blade II" takes a valiant step into been-there-done-that territory. The story, written by "Blade" writer David S. Goyer, quickly descends into camp territory by resurrecting Blade's longtime friend, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), who is said to have been kidnapped by vampires after he supposedly shot himself back in 1998. Soon after, Blade is called upon by the vampires to aide them in their struggle to defeat another, far more ferocious race of creatures known as Reapers, who feed on the blood of vampires as well as humans. During the second half of the movie, there are some twists and turns, complications and nuisances, and plainly ridiculous forces at work in the material (even for a vampire movie, it's completely ludicrous). It's copycat structure comes complete with the hero's rise and fall, a love interest, loads of joyless action, and even a rave scene, too. But Goyer seems to have lost all sense of what made "Blade" such a masterful action hit, while the monsters lack the charm or wit that made Stephen Dorff's Deacon Frost such an enticing antagonist. Reprising their roles, Snipes and Kristofferson do everything in their power to keep things lively, even as everything crashes around them. There are some moments of witty humor that resonate from their characters, and a scene in which Blade retrieves his shades before engaging in battle stands out as one of the few scenes to truly capture the spirit of the original. But by far, "Blade II" is a sequel of "Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2" proportions; whereas "Blade" quenches one's thirst for action and plot, its sequel leaves you parched.

Summary: Blade is BACK!
Review: From the opening moments of the first film back in 1998, I knew this would become an action/horror film franchise. Also, because the first film was done so well, I also feared for the entertainment value of the inevitable sequel. Well, now the sequel is here, and after an opening night viewing I can say in all honesty that all of my fears for the viability of Blade sequels was completely and totally unjustified. It's better than the first film. And I don't say that lightly either. Everything about this film surpasses the original with only one possible exception. While the fight sequences between Blade (Wesley Snipes - in a performance that is better than his introductory turn as Blade), the vampires, and the reapers (more on them in a minute) are staged better, the visual effects occasionally get in the way. One minute, the fight is an adrenaline junkie's dream, but all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the action gets intermixed with a little computer "enhancement" that is more than a little obvious. It's a distraction actually. But since moments like those are few and far between, they do not take away from the overall impact of the whole film. Okay, now onto the plot. It's set two years after the close of the previous film (even though technically it is 4 years since the release of that film), and Blade is consumed in his search for Whistler (Kris Kristofferson). HOLD UP! Yeah, I know, everyone thought he died in the last film, but that was done offscreen, so bringing him back here makes sense. It also cannot be considered a "spoiler" because it's dealt with in the first five minutes of the movie and you see Whistler in the previews as well. Anyway, after rescuing hiw old friend/mentor, Blade brings him back to their base of operations where they attempt to heal/revive him. Of course this must end successfully, otherwise there would be no point to bringing him back in the first place, but after he is fully healed, a squad of vampires has gotten around their security systems and infiltrated the hideout. Their mission? Surprisingly, they do not want to kill Blade this time. No, this time they are messengers, sent by head vampire Damaskinos to fetch Blade for a meeting because they now have a common enemy: the aforementioned "reapers". Reapers, in essence, are mutant vampires. They are impervious to silver and garlic, and their bloodlust is so strong that they no longer care who they feed upon - human or vampire - as long as they get their blood. To help them feed more easily, they also come equipped with a certain physical mutuation that has to be seen to be believed. Because of the threat the reapers pose, Blade reluctantly agrees to lead the vampires' best hunters, the Bloodpack, in his search to seek out and destroy the reapers for both vampires' and humans' sake. The Bloodpack is an interesting idea to begin with. especially pairing Blade with them, because the intent behind the formation of the Bloodpack was to have a squad of the vampires' best hunters with the skill to be able to hunt and kill... Blade. Naturally, there is tension between Blade and the group's normal leader, Reinhardt (expertly and maliciously played by Ron Perlman). The banter between the two and the non-verbal plays for power provide some of the best comic relief in any film of this type. And that sets the stage for one of the best action/horror thrillers in recent memory. The story is exceptionally tight with very few (if any) plot holes that will leave moviegoers scratching their heads. It's not all fights and blodletting though. The suspense is more nerve-racking than in conventional "jump-out-and-get-you" horror films, especially once Blade and the Bloodpack enter the sewers in search of the leader of the reapers...

Review: This movie was not even close to part one. Part one was a perfect movie. There were many things that bothered me about Blade II. First and foremost the fight scenes seemed very jerky, sometimes almost John Woo like. I hate John Woo fight scenes, they are just not my cup of tea. Next thing was the enhanced visuals when a vampire bites the dust. Why sensationalize that part of the film when no one cares how the vampires look when they die. The whole story was weak and was riddled with holes. Blade went from being a hard nosed loner (except for Whistler) to a team player. What is up with that? Next, the new breed of vampires have no reaction to garlic or silver. They can be shot and no ill effects. Yet Blade dispenses with a whole pile of them using silver bullets being shot from a gun. At one point it was implied that sunlight was the only defense against them. The story needed to be more tightly woven. Now on to Whistler, he was a vampire, yet he was able to withstand sunlight. I know, Blade gave him a shot that was supposed to cure the thirst. Unless this was the cure that Dr Jensen came up with in part 1 the whole sub plot is flawed. I am assuming that was the "miracle cure" that she used on herself in part one though. Not enough explanation of the additional characters, the new vampire race, the kid Blade had working for him. I am sure this movie will grow on me as I love part one alot, it is one of my favorite movies. I just know that it did not top part one. It was much the same type of thing that happened with The Mummy. Part one was incredible, the sequel was good, but fell short. Same scenario with Blade.

Summary: Blade II- Awesome, yet very bloody
Review: As I watched "Blade II", I could not help but feel a sense of deja vue. Almost ever scene in the film has Wesley Snipes kicking some vampire's butt with massive amounts of blood and guts spraying everywhere. Which is not to say, a bad thing, because it isn't. I had a great time watching this film. It has a dark, creepy look to it that is mostly due to director Guillermo Del Toro and his amazing crew. The film has some truly amazing visual effects and some incredible stunt work which is what makes this film a joy to watch. Now, I have not yet seen all of the first Blade fim, so I guess that I can't really say that this film was overly bloody, even though I thought it was a bit over the top in some parts, because I suppose that it was meant to be that way. That is what the whole image of the Blade films are, massive amounts of blood, guts and action. I enjoyed Wesley Snipes as Blade, mostly because he looks like he is having a great time playing this character and he is just loose and cool the entire time. The villians in the film are really cool. I don't want to tell you any details, but I will just say that they give new meaning to the term "bloodsuckers".

and blood , guts , silver stakes and vampires all over the place.
This time Blade helps his sworn enemies , vampires , fight a new bread of vampires that are super-hard to kill . Starring Wesley Snipes , Kris Kristopherson and Ron Perlman . Rated R for strong violence and language.

Summary: Better than the first!
Review: When I saw the preview for "Blade 2" I knew it was going to be great. I had already seen the first one since I own the DVD. So I got some money and on opening day, I went to see "Blade 2" instead of "Resident Evil" I went into the theater excited to see the movie. And it did not disappoint! "Blade 2" was way better than the first! It had more action and it was also funny at some points with little quips from the characters. Here is some incite about the Blade movies for people who haven't seen the first. The movie's star Wesley Snipes, as Blade. Blade, half human, half vampire, must fight vampires so they do not take over the world. His sidekick is Whistler(he makes Blade serum and weapons) In "Blade 2" though, the vampires ask Blade to help them fight a breed of Reapers before they take over. Should Blade trust them? Well, you will just have to see for yourself. This movie has great effects and you will be on the edge of your seat. But be warned: anyone who is the least bit squeamish seeing gore, don't see this movie. There, I told you about the movie, so now go see it1

Summary: Awesome Sequel!!
Review: If you liked blade then see blade 2!! this sequel has it all. Good story, Good acting, Awesome action! Starts a little slow but after the first 5 or 6 minutes there's nothing but action and cool effects. there's no slow parts where they have to tell a story because they did all that in the first movie. I loved this movie.
