Rating: Summary: Dracula: Dead and Loving It Review: Mel Brooks makes a delightfully funny companion to his earlier related spoof "Young Frankenstein." Leslie Nielsen is very funny in his role, and the supporting cast (especially Peter MacNicol) is also very funny. The way this movie pokes fun at "Bram Stoker's Dracula" and other Dracula films involves clever techniques, and this film captures it all. I think this is hilarious!
Rating: Summary: hilarious Review: Brooks and co. take on the blood sucker/dark master....bator, Dracula himself. Leslie Nielsen is Dracula, Amy Yasbeck is Mina HArker, Steven Weber is Jonathan HArker, Peter MacNicol is Renfeld, Harvey Korman is that doctor guy(the father of Mina), and Mel Brooks is Van Helsing. the beginning takes a sweep from the old story and puts Renfeld in the place where Jonathan Harker goes to the Drac's place but MacNicol is so hilarious in this movie, especially when hes getting horned up with those 3 vampire chicks. the part where Steven Weber stakes Lucy and all that blood flys is the highlight. fun all around.favorite lines Renfeld(MacNicol)- wrong me!!! wrong me!!!! Renfeld- not another enema
Rating: Summary: You are in the closet. Review: I agree with everyone else in saying that it's not the funniest of Mel Brooks' movies (I think that title goes to Blazing Saddles), but it is my favorite. It needs to be released on DVD, as the tracking on the VHS is always off on my VCR and needs about twenty minutes worth of adjusting to get the audio to work. We need a DVD!

Rating: Summary: It's Not The Best, But Also Not The Worst!! Review: It's not the best Mel Brooks movie and not a classic like Young Frankenstein but it's not as bad a movie as some have made it out to be, it was really enjoyable and I have been a fan of Leslie Nielsen since his Naked Gun TV show and movies and I have been a fan of Harvey Korman since first seeing him on The Carol Burnett Show when I was a kid. And though I like Dracula Dead And Loving It I really prefer Love At First Bite which starred George Hamilton as Dracula, though that movie might be kind of dated these days at least for younger viewers.
Rating: Summary: a comedy for the ages Review: they have a comedy making fun of scary movies they have a comedy making fun of teen movies and this is a comedy spoof of vampire movies. I definitly was surprised by how good the movie was. Not many know of this movie and its a shame because it really is one of those movies that just came out at a bad time and got missed by the public eye.
Rating: Summary: WHERE'S THE DVD?!?! Review: This is one of Mel Brooks's finest movies, right up there with "Young Frankenstein", "Blazing Saddles," and "The Twelve Chairs". But two things bug me: there's no DVD and no soundtrack CD. A widescreen DVD with commentary by Mel Brooks, a couple theatrical trailers, a behind-the-scenes documentary, some outtakes, and interviews with the cast would be nice. This should've won the Oscars for Best Music Score and Best Actor (Leslie Nielsen).
Rating: Summary: Im eating chicken and drinken vine Review: This film better come out on dvd. It is just as funny as "SPACEBALLS". No wait its funnier than "SPACEBALLS"! Mel Brooks is a comic mastermine. He really did do a great job impersinating the 1931 black in white classic of the original dracula. You know the one where the guy was good friends with "Ed Wood". This film is so hilarious. It may seem goofy and gay but trust me it is great. Mel brooks is a comic genuis ever since "YOUNG FRANKISTEIN". Which is also great but this is indeed the best mel brooks movie of all time. This better come out on dvd.Because if it doesnt Ill.........Illl......Illl..... write a lot of letters and and send a lot of pizzas to the film company that they didnt order yeah, that'll show'em
Rating: Summary: Dracula: Mel Brooks is a Genius! Review: I was sad to hear that this was Mel Brooks' last movie as a director, but that didn't affect me seeing it. Some of my favorite scenes are when Renfield is in the village and Anne Bancroft keeps doing that thing with her throat, the "fight scene" at the end, Prof. Van Helsing's autopsy, and Dr. Seward and Renfield's brunch. Leslie Nielsen couldn't be better (except in "Airplane!" or "Naked Gun"); Mel Brooks always casts the right people. I say this is Brooks' third best movie (1st would be "Young Frankenstein" and 2nd is "Blazing Saddles"). One complaint is that they didn't have Mark Blankfield, Megan Cavanagh, or Anne Bancroft at the end where they showed the characters. My most favorite thing about this movie is the music. I especially love that song over the pictures at the end. I wonder if someone at Amazon could get me something (like a CD) with that song on it? I LOVE it! Okay, great movie, five stars, and now, I take my leave. I am "sheduled" to have much to do and I have less time to do it in.
Rating: Summary: This Movie Should Be On DVD! (Widescreen) Review: Dracula Dead and Loving It may not be as funny as the older classic Mel Brooks movies like Young Frankenstein but I think it was pretty funny and better then what the critics said about it and it has a great cast that includes Leslie Nielsen, Steven Weber, Amy Yasbeck, Peter MacNichol, Harvey Korman, Lysette Anthony and Mel Brooks and I recommend this movie to fans of Mel Brooks and comedy movies and like others I'm waiting for this movie to come out on DVD (Widescreen)!
