Summary: No more knights. This film bites!
Review: A group of friends play roleplaying games on weekends but when a terrible accident happens the friends start receiving roses from an unknown person. It doesn't take long before a knight shows up on a horse, killing the friends with his sword.

Sounds quite good doesn't it? Well it's NOT, this should've been called Sleepy Hollow High 2, cause that's exactly what it was, and if you've seen Sleepy Hollow High, you probably won't read the rest of the review but instead get out of this page and forget that this movie was ever made. This film has got absolutely nothing going for it. Poor directing, Poor actors, No blood, No scares, Bad story, and Sucky ending [reminds you of Sleepy Hollow High?]. The actors has no special looks or details so you really don't feel bad for them when they die. If they'd skip the horse and the ending this might have turned out to be a quite ok film, just as Sleepy Hollow High would've.

Well whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THIS FILM.

Summary: Knighty Knightmare...
Review: A group of role-playing game enthusiasts gather every saturday night in their teacher's basement for swords, sorcery, and beers. One guy (played by Michael Wayne Walton) is a little bit TOO into the game, fantasizing about his knightly role with a girl gamer, who wants nothing to do with him. The bozo winds up driving into a tree and burning up, moments after swearing an oath to the great knight-of-the-rose pantheon. Soon, other saturday night gamers start turning up dead, cut to pieces by a dark knight on a big horse. Police are baffled, but we're not! I liked most of this movie. Not bad for a micro-budget indie...

Summary: Roleplaying with a Vengeance
Review: After viewing Jeffrey Kennedy's Knight Chills at the East Lansing Film Festival last spring, the images resonated in my memory for days. It was one of those films that let you continue reliving the intense moments and contemplating the motives of the characters long after you've walked out of the theatre.

This is the dark tale of a group of young adults and their former teacher who are members of a roleplaying game club. One embittered young man takes the game a bit too seriously, and seeks revenge upon his fellow role-players in a most bizarre and brutal way.

The writing is intelligent, the performances are powerful. The action scenes will keep you on the edge of your seat. At the same time, the nuances and subtleties of the characters' relationships to one another will intrigue you and keep you guessing.

You don't have to know a thing about role-playing to enjoy this film, which speaks to the brilliant dialogue. Those who are familiar with role-playing games will feel that they are right there at the game table with the characters. This is some of the most cleverly choreographed dialogue (the writing and filming) I have seen since the dinner table scene in Hannah and Her Sisters.

Purchasing this film is a wise investment, as you will want to view it again and again.

Summary: YAWN
Review: An "artsy" attempt at horror that falls flat on its face. Acting and direction are amatuerish, and the movie's score overrides so much of the dialogue, you want to scream. It has a very slow and ill-acted opening, and it takes forever to get to any meaty substance. Role playing games come across even more banal than I had thought. Miss this one--there are no chills here!

Summary: This Film Totally Stinks
Review: For some reason I decided to pick up this film to rent and have totally and completely regretted it ever since!!!

This has got to be one of the most absolutely stupidest flicks of all time. This film just doesn't have any good parts to it at all.

The "actors" are all so stiff and fail to portray any character reality at all, so you don't really feel for them or care about the story at all.

The direction of the film keeps changing and you're left wondering "what was this film even supposed to be about?"

Summary: This Movie stinks to high heaven
Review: I don't know if I'm more angry and disgusted with the filmmakers of this piece of stinky-cheese, or my local video store for carrying it for rent! This movie 'might' have been borderline okay with even a crappy TV cast and some dialog that didn't seem made up on the spot, but... probably not. Avoid this stink bomb of a "movie" at all costs...

Hey -- get a director that knows what they are doing, take acting lessons and learn how to write a script BEFORE you try to make a movie. It might work out better for the audience in the end.

90 Minutes of my life I want back, NOW. Maybe I'm the fool for sitting through the whole thing!

Summary: this movie rox ur sox
Review: I go to school with the dude that played the knight of the rose. This movie is cool because of all the silly references. It's not a very good movie, but if you play roleplaying games you will have a good laugh. And your DM or GM or whatever should forever be known as Lord of the Lore.

Summary: Role Playing with a Cool Twist
Review: I saw this movie at the East Lansing Film Festival. It brings a cool twist to role players. It shows how their lives are changed from one role player gone bizzerk. Someone really knew how to write a cool script. DJ Perry also has a riviting role much like his role in "In the Woods". It goes in my collection.
