Rating: Summary: What a strange movie? Review: Firstly, the packaging said nothing about the bonus features: Director's commentary, Making of Documentary, Deleted Scenes with optional commentary. Secondly, it is a special edition, with new scenes added like George Lucas did with Star Wars. I saw the orginal on VHS, but this version is completely different. Much better in all. More stylish, more Sci-Fi. The film itself is very interesting, a little quirky in places, but actually makes an attempt at being original; for which it suceeds. The black comedy element comes as a surprise. It is an Australian film, but comes across more as a Bristish-type movie in some ways. I was a little disappointed in the authoring quality, but considering the price of the DVD, what can you expect. If a small movie like this can have so much interesting bonus material, why can't bigger movies go to the same effort.
Rating: Summary: Beyond the normal!!! Review: I was surprised at the depth of the characters and issues raised in this film. If you are expecting a standard B-movie, then don't be surprised if you get more than you bargained for. I identified with the plight of the main character, Travis. His hardships have been felt by all us males at some time. the story kept me guessing and the ending was quite amazing. Watch this alone and listen closely to the words... they are strangely hypnotic. the second time I watched it, I picked up on all these undercurrents that you don't see in many films today. It is a low-budget british film and that may offend some, but others will find it a breath of fresh air. This movie has changed outlook on my life.

Rating: Summary: Don't Get Me Wrong Review: It's amazing what some people can do with such a low budget. Don't get me wrong, this movie is cheesy and corny, and I wouldn't normally give it five stars for that reason. But the effects are impressive for a low-budget film (I read that it initially cost around [money] to make, and was later revised for more than twice the original budget). It is obvious that the filmmakers put a lot of effort and attention to detail into this film, and rather than simply being a gore/slasher fest, this movie actually has a plot! Please note: I said rather than "simply" being a gore/slasher fest. This movie has a lot of gore, but there's more to the film than just the blood and guts. So what's it about? A young man discovers a mysterious headset-thingy inside a meteorite, and discovers that he can use this to bring weird creatures/demons into this world from some other demension. Gradually, this power turns him evil. Yeah, it's strange and kind of far fetched, but so is just about every other horror film. And there's more at work here... Think about it. Evil affects us, and the more we play around with it, the better chance we have of being corrupted by it. This sci-fi/horror/comedy shows the gradual transformation of one character as he is infected by evil. The film is not without its faults, but it's well worth watching for fans of the genre. As an added bonus, those who purchase this film (or maybe rent it-if your video rental facility will carry it-mine did, and we're about as backwoods as you can get) will be supporting some struggling filmmakers who are trying to help horror movies return to the days when evil was scary. All in all, an excellent effort-and I'll be looking forward to "To Become One," the next offering from this director, which is due soon.

Rating: Summary: OWMYGOD... Review: Please avoid this miserable excuse of a moving image. A disgrace to the eye and ear, this one is a strong candidate for the lousiest flick of the decade. Stupid and boring, you won't even be able to laugh since you are flat embarrassed and fatigued. Why, oh why...
