Rating: Summary: Pinhead Hits the Streets Review: Pinhead gets released from his imprisonment in a rotating statue in a gothical night club. Once released he runs amok in the city killing everyone he comes across. Hopeless acting, hopeless plot, still lots of gore, still not satisfying to a fan of the series.
Rating: Summary: Really fun horror film Review: Pinhead is back! After escaping the Pillar of Souls he heads to a happening nightclud where the ole chains & hooks come out to play! Terry Farrell is great as Joey the TV news reporter. After having his cenobite army destroyed in the last film, it is time for some friends to play with. Here we get Barbie the arsonist bartender, CD Spinner the mechanical cenobite who can throw CDs into your skull, the TV News Guy who shoots his camera into your skull, teh Club Owner who has weird things going in & out of hsi head, and my favorite...Terry the Smoker. The Smoker is awesome cause she has a lit cigarette hanging out of her exposed larynx and burns you with another lit cancer stick! Smokin' will kill ya!
Rating: Summary: Better than Inferno or Bloodline, but nothing beats #1! Review: Pinhead returns for the third installment in the sometimes innovative, sometimes downright boring Hellraiser franchise. This time the action takes place in N.Y.- right, it was actually filmed in Greensboro, NC- don't let the stock footage fool you- with reporter Farrell- (just before she scored her role on ST-DS9, or she might have passed on this movie) looking to do a 'real' story. When an emergency room patient meets an unusual and 'over the top' ending the stage is set for another bloodbath. Pinhead is hiding in a piece of contemporary art this time- which is soon purchased by a jerky night club owner, who along with a cast of unlikable characters, gets just what is coming to him. But,the story moves along, and Doug Stewart as Pinhead as always has a ball tormenting anyone dumb enough to get near him. This was all kind of fun back at the start of the 'Hellraiser' Odyssey, but everytime I think this franchise has run out of steam I see Pinhead staring at me from the box of yet another direct to video sequel at the video store. It's time to pension poor Pinhead out, or at least get someone to write a decent script- hopefully before we reach the sixth sequel.
Rating: Summary: THE ONLY GOOD HELLRAISER!!!!!! Review: Please bring back Pinhead, Camerahead, CD, Barbie, JP, Terri, and Elliott Spenser for a future Hellraiser!!!!!! VIVE HELLRAISER III: HELL ON EARTH!!!!!! AND VIVE YOU WONDERFUL CHARACTERS FROM HELLRAISER III (except for Joey)!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Close but no banana... Review: Randy Miller tried to capture the spirit of Christopher Young who did the soundtracks to parts I and II, but he seldom gets straight to the point. He often quotes the original, but even these quotations appear to be slightly weak, less pointed, less terror-inducing in comparison. It's more of a run-off-the-mill horror flick soundtrack, albeit done with a full orchestra. It definitely is a good score to listen to, but not a _great one_ by any means. If you're unfamiliar with the music of the Hellraiser-Tetralogy in general, you'd be ill-advised to start with this one here.
Rating: Summary: Decent Film, Horrendous DVD Review: Stay away from his cheap videocassette copy. That's right, this is a plain Video Cassette copied onto a DVD, it looks [bad] and the sound is garbage. A new, cheap ... copy is coming... It's gotta be better than this garbage.
Rating: Summary: NOT TOO GOOD Review: THE ACTING IN THIS MOVIE IS THE WORST IVE EVER SEEN IN A LONG TIME.IT GETS KINDA COOL IN ABOUT AN HOUR INTO THE MOVIE
Rating: Summary: THE EVIL IS ON EARTH AND NO ONE IS SAFE!! Review: The evil pinhead escapes his em trapment in a statue left over from HELLRAISER 2when a corruped sanitarium docter was tranaformed into an evil domon and left hells remains in the statue and a new hellish army to destroy the earth realm
Rating: Summary: HELLRAISER OR HELLPOSER? Review: The first film is good. Not great, but good. Then theres Hellbound which is TERRIBLE. And then we get this one thats better then the first 2 but still laking in a lot of areas. First off is Terry Farrell's major OVERACTING and disregard for her character really puts a dent in the viewing process. She was sooo annoying I wanted to shut off the movie..But dident cause I love Pinhead. The second complaint of mine is Anthony Hickox laid-back directing which he put NO thought into whats-so-ever and the story has hardly anything to do with the first 2 films. Lets use a example of how a wicked scene is made rancidly terrible..."Demons are coming for me father".."there are no demons child. Demons are a metaphore"..."then what the f*** is that?"....Bad, bad, bad. She could have said that wickedly but she just sucks. I swear, thank God the forth film was good. Cause this film will have to try harder next time.
Rating: Summary: Only buy to complete the series. Review: The only reason I bought this DVD is to complete my Hellraiser DVD collection. Not that I don't like the movie, it's just that the DVD is pretty lame. First of all, this DVD is a special order from Canada. The cover dones a huge SPECIAL EDITION lable on the left side of the cover. Sadly to say, there is NOTHING special about this DVD. The movie itself isn't even in it's original theatrical ration (widescreen), which is a real bummer, and the picture itself is very gainy and not any better than the VHS edition. The only other feature it contains is chapter selection. Woopy (. . )! Every DVD has chapter selections; is this the feature that makes this DVD so SPECIAL! Again ONLY buy this DVD to complete your Hellraiser DVD collection. A real bummer compared to the special features on the Hellraiser 1 & 2 DVD's, but at least it's cheap.
