Summary: Decent enough
Review: I think this film is decent enough although the same formula that Barker used from the original is gone. I think the heroine in this movie, Joey, is very effective. One thing comes to my mind though; why are most horror movie heroines brunettes? i.e. Kirsty Cotton in the first Hellraiser, Heather Langenkamp in the Freddy Krueger series, Neve Campbell in Scream and Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween...conicidence?

Summary: One of the worst horror movies ever!
Review: I thought "HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II" was bad. But then comes along another sequel to give the series a bad name. Of course, there is plenty of gore to keep the average horror fan entertained, but the whole concept of what "Hellraiser" is supposed to be about has been lost. Even Pinhead has lost his touch as the ultimate prince of pain, I find him more funny than scary. So, overall it is just a complete waist of time and I think I'm being generous when I give it two stars. I'm waiting for another "Hellraiser" movie to give one star to.

Summary: This is the WORSE Hellraiser off the series!
Review: If you're buying this DVD to complete your set it's hardly worth it. The quality is poor(both sound and picture), there's nothing extra (it's not even letterbox), and it's just a ... movie. Look or wait for something better. ... As a Barker fan for years the first two movies are the only true Hellraisers in which Clive Barker had the most to do with and isn't embarrssed about. The first is a classic and the second was a special efx showcase. Hellraisers 4 through 6 are much better then 3. The cenobites are ridiculous and the plot [was unacceptable]. Oh, by the way, I've met Doug Bradley (Pinhead himself), and he personally said he thought 3 was far from the best as well, case closed.

Summary: What The "Hell" happened?!
Review: In the same vein as Leprachaun In the Hood, this Hellraiser tries to ensare viewers with a whole new batch of "Club" Cenobites. The Lady with the slit throat is replaced by a rave girl with a Traecheotomy, the DJ spits killer CDs out of his head (a trick that was done better in Dolph Lundgren's "I Come In Peace"), and there's some jerk with a video camera in his head.
I had hoped that Hell on Earth would take some risks, possibly show Pinhead and his crew doing their thing on crowded city streets, and pick up on the seeds they planted in the second edition for continuity. How Pinhead got from being executed by the Doctor Cenobite at the end of Two to that stupid piece of modern art is beyond me.
Instead of paving any new ground this movie strips the franchise of its noir. Pinhead's just another Wishmaster or Freddy. The Contemporary Cenobites are less frightening than Corey Feldman on an Ether binge. The story is stiff and disappointing, barely connecting itself with the rest of the series, proving that Gore does not a horror movie make. Even worse, the make-up and effects look rubbery. That they dropped the mysterious hobo/teredactyl guy from the ensemble entirely was salt in the wound.
The sequel to this film, Bloodlines, is pretty much the same caliber, dooming further (and better) installments like Inferno and Hellseeker to direct to video releases. Do yourself a favor and pretend they never happened, like the Star Wars Prequels.

Summary: HELL ON EARTH !!!
Review: Many people say it's not good. It's not good- it's outstanding!!!Pinhead,LensHead,"CDHead"*the DJ are my favorite cenobites.Of course I do like Dr. Channard,Chatterer,Butterball...,but I've never seen such bizarre deaths like those showed in this installment. The story is great - so are the special effects.Like all stories,it's not perfect. But as a true fan of horror movies I say ... HELLRAISER SERIES are superb!!!The Cenobites are portrayed the way we are : cruel.Clive Barker is a visionary man.EARTH IS IN HELL and HELL is on EARTH !!!

Summary: good way better than the second
Review: much improved the best sequel done for the series. intersting plot, good gore, and special effects. but may not interest or apply to every horror fan. some elements can be ridiclous at times. but a good try for a better sequel

Summary: rubbish!!!!!
Review: My problem with this movie isn't the hokey cenobites...in fact, I dont mind them at all. My problem is that this movie was nothing more than an attempt to expoit the slasher genre, thus cheapening Pinhead and the gang.

Its actually kind of a fun movie to watch. Ive noticed with the first two (that have Clive Barker written all over it) you need to be in a specific mood to watch. Hellraiser 3 can be watched under any mood since it isnt necessarily to be taken seriously. Still, not one of the best in the series. The 4th gets more back to the series' roots
