Review: one rainy day i had the option of renting this DVD set or staring at the wall. i will never take for granted to chance to stare at the wall again! personally, i would have rather shoved a spoon up my ass than watch this, but i didn't know any better. if you see this set in a video store, don't let the cover fool you, it is extremely misleading. basically, hell asylum is about an old mansion where this rang-tang cable channel decides to cast a one-night reality show about several girls that try to stay in there over night and get out alive. by the sound of that, it sounds stupid right? well stupid would be an understatement! after watching hell asylum, i tried to watch prison of the dead but found it too horrible to sit through all the way. these films aren't even good enough for fans of overrated suckass slasher movies. did you know that elvis' death came to suicide when he was tripping on LSD and had a futuristic vision of this double feature? poor guy; it waas too much for him. he felt that death was the only way out. i, on the other hand, simply filed for a full-frontal lobotomy. so please, if you plan to watch these piles of poo, lock all of the sleeping pills and knives away before you do, because when its over you will never get back those three hours of the two worst films in cinema history. and speaking of poo, if i were to be given the option of watching these two flicks of terror again for three hours or watch my deteriorating poo for three hours, i would without hesitation choose my poo.
