Summary: DIZZYING FILM
Review: Poor Wes Craven...since his main claim to fame is the Freddy Kruger series, you'd think he'd try and do more on his own, instead of adding his name to films to obviously attract his fans. Fans of Craven certainly won't enjoy this "suspense thrilelr", as there is hardly any gore, no demons in the night. However, if Craven had taken this on himself and had a higher budget, and a more fitting cast, DON'T LOOK DOWN could have really been an effective shocker.
As it stands, Billy Burke steals the show as Megan Ward's sympathetic husband, who is trying to help his wife through a devastating fear of heights, caused by the untimely death of her younger sister. Megan Ward is reminiscent of a high school thespian, using overblown theatrical gestures and speeches to play Burke's wife. However, for a made for t.v. thriller, it's entertaining and particularly chilling to those with a fear of heights.

Summary: Doesn't fit in with Wes Craven films
Review: This film just doesn't blend in with other Wes Craven films. While it has a nice story line, minimal blut & guts, I do not think this is what true Wes Craven fans were thinking when they happened upon this. I saw the blood on the front cover & read the back and thought it would be a "normal" Wes Craven film, such as others with blood & gore, a decent plot, but all the horror I look for in a Wes Craven film. I was greatly let down & would like to let people know if you are looking for a horror filled flick, this is NOT the film for you. This has minimal gore, minimal violence and a high ability to bore you if you are seeking horror. However, if horror is not your thing and a good plot with some mild depressing losses (the loss of a sister) is what you are looking for, then here is your film!

Summary: Don't Look At This Movie
Review: This movie is where Wes Craven's name was abused to the fullest. I saw the box, said to myself "Wow, a Wes Craven production I never knew about.." and promptly rented it. To my horror, I saw a movie that not only had the cinematographic quality of a Porno movie, but the acting was comparable as well. The plot and characters were pretty much a blatant rip off of an episode of any daytime soap opera. Why would anyone do something that lame????
The soap opera cliche' plot is this: A girl, her sister, and her husband are taking pictures at a beautiful overlook and her sister falls off the cliff, and begs her sister to save her .... blah blah..... dies.... blah blah...... surviving sister becomes afraid of heights..... blah blah...... series of murders she thinks the ghost of her sister is behind....... blah.... sorry excuse for a plot twist..... blah blah blah....bad ending. There is no point on earth to EVER EVER EVER EVER see this horrible piece of cinematic excriment. I am thoroughly saddened that Craven even let his name be soiled by this movie, and I almost cannot like him subconsciously because I can't think of his name anymore without thinking of that movie. I WISH there was a way to remove the memory of DON'T LOOK DOWN from my head, and I urge you to avoid this movie at all costs or it will cause you to have uncontrollable narcicistic rage for the rest of your life.
