Summary: Wish This Movie Away
Review: First of all, let me say that it is unfair to blame Wes Craven for this. He did not direct this movie. They slapped his name on the title and gave him a producer credit. He himself has stated that he really had nothing to do with this film. Lay off. This is one bad movie. It's just stupid, gratuitous gore with a very unappealing heroine and a boring, by the numbers villain. The genie is as interesting as an episode of Martha Stewart. It's just god awful!. Although, it was a real treat to see Kane Hodder and the king of horror Robert Englund in this film. Too bad it wasn't together. Waste of time and talent.

Summary: Be careful of what you wish
Review: This movie was terrible. No acting, the plot is weak and makes me think it's time to Wes Craven give up his job (I'm not being . Honestly, the moral is so ripped of from others movies, in the end of this movie you keep thinking:

The moral was more well showed and expressed in the movie NeverEnding Story 2. Doubt it? Goo see it and make yours own conclusions. (not really saying that one was good, no way)

Summary: Harkens back to the monsters of yesteryear
Review: Wishmaster is a movie that reminds me of the 80's monster movies with monsters like Jason and Freddy. For a supposedly "low" budget the movie has good performances (with cameos by Kane Hodder, Robert Englund, and Tony Todd) and good special effects. This movie has about a shock factor of 3 out of 5 and the story is original. This movie is worth seeing!!

Summary: terrible
Review: this is a terrible horror film, it reminds me alot of Grim, and the monsters are fake looking, and they are ugly. its about something you must fear that is called a djin or something if you've read the poem at the beginning of the movie, not exactly a poem, but a summery or a story. It happens at the beginning of Star War movies, you know.

Summary: Tammy Lauren and Wishmaster
Review: A genie is rubbed out of an ancient opal and terrorizes poor Alex Amberson with the visions of his killings. WISHMASTER is an excellent low budget horror flick, one of the best. Complete with bloody special affects and a fabulous performance given by TAMMY LAUREN, not to mention, three horror movie villians (Freddy [ROBERT ENGLAND], Jason [KANE HODDER] , the Candyman [TONY TODD]) and the special appearance of Mini-me [VERNE TROYER]What more could you ask for in a movie? ANDREW DIVOFF does a wonderful job as the infamous Djinn and him and TAMMY LAUREN have a classic predator/prey relationship. It is a shame that his appearances on MARTIAL LAW and WALKER TEXAS RANGER, were missed oppurtunities to have him and Miss Lauren on other works together. When purchasing WISHMASTER be prepared for a bumpy ride and intelligent plot twists that keeps you saying, "What is happening?!" Fear one thing in all there is, Fear the Djinn.

Review: A REAL BORE. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: What was Wes Craven thinking?
Review: I really want to know. He's a master of this genre, and this movie is horrible. What a load! He's got some great actors, and the movie almost promises to be great, but it's not.

It moves really slowly. These people make leaps of logic to further the plot that are totally unrealistic. It's a waste of time and money, really. It could have been cool, but it wasn't.

The only cool thing about this movie is that Reggie from Phantasm is in it. Go Reggie!

Summary: Imaginative
Review: I liked this film. It was imaginative and surprising. The Wishmaster, who has a cool, evil voice, tempts his subjects with "wishes". The wishes, when granted are not what the wisher expected; but true to the last word. The actor who protrayed the master was; masterful, for lack of a better word. after watching 1, I had to watch 2, which is not as good, but the Wishmaster makes 2 worth watching.

Summary: I WISH This Movie Had Been Better! (** 1/2 out of 5)
Review: I really wanted to like this movie. Wes Craven is a master in film-making, and I got my hopes up. Well, needless to say, I was let down. In this violent and gruesome movie, a djinn (or genie) escapes from his 'prison'; a magic red-ruby. The djinn goes around granting wishes in his own way--giving the wisher want they want in a deadly style. For example: wish to be beautiful forever, turn into a plastic doll or something. So, the djinn needs to grant pretty Alexandrea's wishes in order to rule the world. One question: why? Did I miss something? This movie sadly falls flat. It's one strength is special-effects...and they're not that great either. Worth viewing when you're very bored. Otherwise, it's not all that good at all.
