Rating: Summary: Don't Miss This One Review: Ok, it's kinda like the first Carrie movie, but not really. It's more modern and there is no prom in this one, just a typical highschool party where the big part happens. The kids are meaner to the girl in this movie. She just happens to have the same dad as Carrie did so they are step-sisters. Her mom was in a mental hospital. The violence is better too. And that kid from Home Improvement has a pretty big role in this movie. You might even like this one better than the first one. It's a very good movie. You won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: An insult to Mr. Kings' material and the Depalma original Review: It is always difficult for sequels of movies of the kind of calibur as the original Carrie {1976} to measure up. Good seqels can be made {example: Godfather: Part II} The key, many including myself would say, is in the handling of the material. Is their a reverence toward the original source material or is it being jettisoned to make way for a new statement? Does the new vision or statement say anything new? Carrie 2 does not make any attempt to say anything new. The treatment of Kings' original character Sue Snell {Amy Irving} is thoughtless as is much of the plot of this movie. I would have liked to have seen Sue's life fleshed out more. She was the only survivor after all. But instead we see breif sequences of her with Rachel {Bergl} remembering scenes from the first movie that she was not witness to as you'll recall she was locked out of the gym seconds before Carries' destructive tantrum. It makes sense that she would be a guidance counselor but what of her stay in the mental institutions? Lovelife? None of these areas are explored. In the end, Katt Shea, the director, to make over-the-top killing sequences propel the violence of the climax has Sue being impaled accidentily before she can even save Rachel. This is gratuitous and negates any point to having the Sue Snell character in the story in the first place. Miss Shea proves herself to be an inept director who is so laid back in the DVD commentary that it makes one wonder if she cares about anything. The soundtrack to this movie is also quite weak. In the original we have Pino Dinnagios' brilliant emotional and terrifying piece. In Carrie 2 it sounds like a Halloween rip-off with throw away grundge songs thrown in for good measure. One of the keys to Dinnagios score was its' timelessness using strings cello and other orchestration. All in all, very dissappointing. And Miss Shea please leave Kings' work to the masters {Depalma, Riener, Hackford}.

Rating: Summary: Bit boring dont you think? Review: Yes, it has it's thrills and spills, but the first three-quaters seem so go on forever; this plus the whole supposed "father" idea, ending up in nothing more than just a silly drawn out sub-plot? Please? What should have been an incredibly sexy movie, focussing much more on Carrie's abillities, just seems to totaly miss the point in this "bore-and-snore".
Rating: Summary: This can truly be done............ Review: Telekinesis is the ability to move inadement object with only your mind. Rachel Lang has been given this ability. Anyone can use telekinesis, you just need to learn how. There are many things that one could do with telekinesis, bad and good both. Rating: Summary: If you've got a taste for terror, take Rachel to you party Review: One of the best horror/thriller movies of 1999. I liked the first movie: "CARRIE" which was based upon the story by Stephen King. 23 Years later "THE RAGE: CARRIE 2" has been released and it did make a little bit sense, didn't it? This movie is good, although it seems to be almost the same as CARRIE. But of course that's why this movie is also called CARRIE 2. Buy this DVD/VHS and see for yourself.

Rating: Summary: one of the only worthy sequels! Review: this movie is definately worthy enough to carry the title "Carrie". the only thing that i was not to fond of in this movie was that they said the telekinesis was a trait that was passed down from the father. i mean where did that come from? if that's how telekinesis was passed down (for this series of films) then it should have been introduced in the first one. other then that minor fact, the movie was a complete success! my personal favorite moment was towards the end with Zachery Ty Bryan and a certain spear gun. i was rather saddened by the death S.S. (i won't say the name so as to ruin the movie, but true Carrie fans should know who i'm talking about! ) May S.S. rest in peace!
Rating: Summary: Stupidest horror sequel ever made.... a true embarrasment... Review: This movie was the worst thing that I have ever seen in a long time. The acting was good, and the plot could have worked, but the final result was just horrible... plain horrible. No beyond horrible. Not only was it boring and dull.... it was pointless. The black and white shots were completely unneccessary and the ending was just ridiculous. This movie was bad, terrible... and stupid.... only a 10 year old would find it 'cool'.
