Summary: Screenplay by Eric Harris and Dylan Kliebold
Review: Um, pretty pointless "sequel" that pretty much just adapts the originals into a 90s kind of setting. A lame attempt to cash in on the "Scream" type genre starring young TV stars with a "hip" soundtrack.

one good thing about it is If you buy it on DVD, at least you can use it as a beer coaster.

Summary: Atrocious
Review: Atrocious sequel to the big horror hit "Carrie" from the late 70's. The original written by Stephen King was a complete success and this frankly isn't. It is 24 years later and still the scars from that night where everybody met the real Carrie White exists. Now, out of the blue, some producer decides to write a sequel! Why? The plot is very thin. Emily Bergyl plays Rachel, a girl with similiar powers to Carrie (played by Sissy Spacek, her debut movie) and things start to get a little out of control. Amy Irving, one of the only survivors of the first film reprises her role as Sue Snell, something which kept me watching (unfortunately) Very predictable, which should have turned out to be a made for Tv movie. A disgrace to Stephen Kings line of best sellers. Before I go, let me ask this question? Why do people create sequels to King's bestsellers? I've said enough....

Summary: Worth Viewing But Fails To Live Up To The Original
Review: In this sequel directed Kate Shea, a tormented girl (Emily Bergl) who possesses the supernatural power of telekinesis, (the ability to move or make changes in objects by force of the mind) is lured into a scandal, which is orchestrated by a bunch of over-sexed jocks. As she emotionally falls apart, her peers prove that making angry could be a fatal mistake. Although this film is entertaining to an extent, the overall dialogue, directing, and writing of the film is considerably weak. The characters are flat and undeveloped, so its very hard to empathize for anyone. Unlike the original where there is a definite emotional outburst in the audience as we watch Carrie's (Sissy Spacek) heart shatter when her first moment of true happiness is demolished, by a bunch of cruel, mean-spirited classmates. "The Rage: Carrie 2" may have worked if the last 20 minutes were not thrown together so sloppily. By just watching the scene it looks very B-quality and merely a careless attempt to feed the audience "eye candy." The humiliation scene is okay, the duration and/or the cruel nature could have been amplified a little to actually add some suspense. As for the final showdown, well that was just simply ridiculous in my opinion. Blood and severed heads were carelessly thrown around with absolutely no effect whatsoever. Broken glass cannot cut a person's head off, and kill off an entire crowd of people. The fleeing extras were very lame, I found myself laughing in some parts. The duration of the scene was only about 4 minutes so as you can imagine you can't really have any suspense or fear when you have all that stuff flying across the screen all at once and in such a sloppy manner. I did like the b/w scenes with Rachel in front of the flames, but that lasted only for an instant. As for the part when Rachel reunites with Jesse at the very end, well that part I found myself really laughing...at how ridiculous it is. How do you go from going completely unstable to the point of insanity, killing off half the senior class, to suddenly kissing and making a mends with your lover, after he obviously sees your destruction? The fact that he still fantasizes about Rachel a year later, seems a little dumb too. It seems that the last 20 minutes were either put together last minute or carelessly done thinking we as an audience wouldn't notice. I feel this movie really had a good idea going and would have worked really well but just wasn't carried out that great. It may sound like I hate this movie, I don't actually I'm just a little disappointed in it. Overall I think it's worth taking a look at, especially if you liked the original, but don't expect a classic. END

Summary: Just Goes To Proove, That King Is Still The Best
Review: No matter how many wacked out sequals, Stephen King's oringal, will always remain a classic. It has been ten years later that they have decided to make a sequal to the original classic "Carrie." In the sequal, a young girl, named Rachel Lang, who has been passed on the gift of the telekinitic powers from her father. She is taken away from her strange mom, that she keeps repeating that she must protect her and keep for away from "them," whoever they may be. Soon, years and years later, Rachel grows up, and is being forced into a foster home, with a new family. From then on, she realizes, her best friends tragedy, and starts to gain control of her telekinet powers once again. Each time she is in rage or anger, she makes things happen. (Like in the original Carrie.) If she concentrates, she can make things happen, make things do what she never thought was possible...but can. And then of course, there is a prom at the end of the movie, and they all catch her in the act of having sex, and show it on a video screen. That's when the rage kicks in. Everyone in the prom dies, of course. No one will get out alive. Rachel will catch them, no matter what. She's lost control of her rage and now, everyone is going to pay. This sequel is OK, but not as promising as King's original story of Carrie.

Summary: Surprisingly great sequel!
Review: I can't believe they pulled it off, but THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 was as good as the original. Although it is alot like the original, and at points very predictable, it still has a wonderful plot, with a chilling message. This one has an ending even more memorable than the first :)

Summary: I don't know.
Review: Maybe I was under a buzz, or a severe attack of brain damage, or just totally idiotic to pick this DVD up from the shelf and purchase it. A lot of movies that I have reviewed in the past have begun to grow on me, as is the case with Stigmata and The Rage: Carrie 2. In this particular case, it isn't so much the story that has gripped me, or the acting, or the bloodbath at the end of the film. I think what has caught my attention is the lighting used in manyt sequences, and from the way in which the lights are positioned in relation to important characters, you know that this has to have been something the filmmakers toyed with in order to achieve the right mood for the scene. For example, the scene in which Lisa Parker, Rachel's best friend, is walking down a darkened hallway, and later up a darkened stairwell to the roof of the school, the lighting of that sequence is symbolic of the fact that her life is over, that everything is closing in around her, making her obsolete. Another scene, in which Rachel confronts Eric Stark with the words, "I know, I know what you did to her," contains lighting that centers solely on her and Stark, while leaving everything else in shadows behind them. Some of the black-and-white imagery used during the telekinesis moments are impressive, as are the manner in which some of the earlier moments are potrayed. All-in-all, the movie is a loser by most counts, but not by all.
