Summary: a sad day
Review: while a big fan of jamie lee curtis, the monsters came out too quickly, leaaving nothing for the imagination. the special effects boys kept trying to outdo themselves but bottomed out by the middle of the movie, leaving you disappointed.

Summary: The Virus is Spreading . . . . . . . . . .
Review: Jamie Lee Curtis and William Baldwin star in "Virus", the winter '98 thriller from visual effects artist turned director John Bruno (Terminator 2, The Abyss), and Universal Pictures. I rented this movie about a month ago just before "The Mummy" was released on video, I saw it because it seemed to look similar. When I saw it, I had mixed feelings: The visual effects and robot designs were exelent. The acting and screenplay needed a LOT of work.

But, a noble effort.

Summary: This Movie is really really bad
Review: This movie had the worst acting you couldd think of, and its special effects sucked! the plot was dumb, and its was just a really bad movie! No doubt about that!

Summary: Like most viruses, this one's hard to stomach
Review: About 30 minutes into this movie I turned to my wife and said, "Man! This is stupid!" But, the type of person that only needs a little entertainment to like a movie, I stuck it out. Mistake! It didn't get any better. Stupid story line. Horrible script. Bad acting. Hey! The special effects were at least interesting! That's where the 1 star came from! Avoid it like the plague!

Summary: Poor, Poor, Poor.
Review: I would like to say that I can give a complete review of this movie, but 40 minutes into it I shut it off. Great sound from the audiophile prospective, but the movie seemed very unbelievable, over acted, and down right corny. Don't waist your time with this one.

Summary: I AM AWARE.....OF THE LACK OF ANY QUALITY
Review: Shame this. We had all the assets ready and waiting to go, a nicely assembled cast, a first time director coached by Mr Cameron and a potential plot. Pity it was wasted abysmally. Poor John Bruno must have cringed at the final cutting room display - as well as its cast if they have any ounce of taste. My heart sunk and continued to sink as weak displays (especially from our friend Sutherland), and an atrocious script enfolded before my eyes. Cliched, unimaginative and very suffocating, if this type of trash had been written by a pre-school child you would have given the kid a stern telling off for lack of effort! To put it kindly, this was a film that aimed to provide the raw tension of a 'Terminator' or 'Aliens' as the themes ran parallel. The difference was that the previous two remembered the key elements of plot, intensity, scripting and respecting its viewing audience. Virus didn't. Please, if you want to view a Sci-fi thriller watch 2001 or even Starship Troopers. As for if you have watched them....hey, still ignore this drivel. It will leave a sour taste in your poor VCR's mouth.

Summary: The movie was great better then Alien.
Review: Spectacular special effects the movie was just great. I love Jamie Lee Curtis in it even though she was better in HALLOWEEN H20. But I didn't like Donald Sutherland in it he's always playing the bad guy in his movies.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Casts' Performances good, Poor Contents and short Story
Review: My DTS copy is not included with English subtitles, why ? The movie comes with mediocre and inconvincible contents. Jamie and Donald played fine specially Donald is impressive by being a captain at the ship. 100 minutes for this movie is terribly short, the story could be made with better longer continuing contents. I should make a kick to this movie's story writer. Who is he/she ?

Summary: Why such a waste of talent?
Review: Jaime Curtis didn't have to do this movie. She was miscast -- majorly miscast. If you wanna see a good movie from Jaime, then rent "Mother's Boys" or "Halloween" or "Halloween: H20." Just don't watch this. No suspense at all. Only character development the fact that you know what they do on the ship. Donald Sutherland did a fair job. But he wasn't miscast. Wanna see a good movie from Sutherland, go rent "The Puppet Masters" or something like that. Not this! This is one of the worst films of 1999.
