Summary: The Best!!!
Review: Hey... Before I watch it this weekend, i thought this would be just like the first movie... the worst movie ever... But after I watched it, I just loved it. In the end of it, when she was beeing chased by the cops, I was chearleding for her... I seriousely wanted she scapes, and it didn't happen in the first one, in part because he didn't kill for a reason, or he killed for a stupid reason.. I didn't know Mila Kunis that well, but after this film, I love her.. she's a perfect actress!! The storie is amazing, and the end... extremely surprising!!!!!! It is just AMAZING!!!! One of the bests films I've ever seen, and the best psychologic horror of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: A-Grade B-Movie
Review: By the way, I am a big fan of the original novel and film AND I really, really hate bad sequals.
This would be one of this kind, IF there wouldn't be

a) Mina Kunis, because she gives this Character everything it needs, like innocence and beauty with
a strange and scary touch (just like the most teanagers out there)
b) William Shatner, because he plays as good as Bill Murray in 'wild things'
c) the twisting and funny way the movie takes you through the thin story in its second half.

This Movie sometimes seems to be like a daily soap, but, hey, why does millions watch them?
Because its good entertainment. American Psycho 2 is better than the most slashers in the near history
- IF you want to see this as a slasher.

It's not so far away from the first Movie as many people say, it only seems like, because it plays
in a completeley different millieu. It shows the same way of humor and stands in its role right between the original
'American Psycho' and the new kind of Horror-Fun-Movies like 'Scream' or 'Urban Legends',
even if it can't play in their league, maybe because sometimes the size of the budget matters.

AP2 is a B-Movie, but one, that don't wants to be more and that's the way how to make it right.

I am sorry, that it will have the same destiny like other not big budget sequels:
It will get into the last corner of the video stores out there and tomorrow only a few will remember that it even exists.
It really deserves more!

The presentation on dvd don't makes this better and I will hold it as short as the specials are thin:
Only picture quality is ok. The Specials: What Specials???

Summary: Worst Movie Ever (they made me give it one star)
Review: OK, so shame on me for even watching this waste of film, but it seemed semi interesting at the time. First off the movie opens with some crappy tie in to the origonal American Psycho, whitch completely distrois the premiss of the first. Second off the plot revolves around 4 or 5 (I realy cant remember, nor care) students all vieing for the covenented posision of Teachers Assistant, which causes our main chuaracter to kill off the competition. Oh by the way the class there in is about Serial killers, and if you get the TA posission you get to go work for the FBI. So anyway, this movie is so bad its funny. That would be about the only good thing I can say about it. Any teen/slasher movie cliche that you could think of is loosely thrown together here. I forced my self to atleast finish it, but the end just hurt. She kills the teacher, who we find out she has ben in love with for a whole 6 years with one kiss (how dramatic). At that point I was forced to turn this crap off. I have found life time origonal movies more tolerable than this junk. Any one who can find a shred of credebility in this film, with exception of the fact that the movie seems to spoof itself unknowingly, should not be allowed to give there opinion on movies. And yes I know my spelling is terable, thank you.

Summary: Below average, but watchable
Review: The kills, the plot, and the direction are all predictable, but it still has a bit of charm. I think the music helps a lot and ties scenes together. Shatner is enjoyable also. However, The commentary by Mila Kunis is absolutely horrible. She acts like a 12 year old spoiled brat and it is painful to listen to. This is definitely a rental and not for purchase.

Summary: Why?
Review: This had to be one of the worst movie sequals i have ever seen. It should not be called american psycho 2, because it simply doesn't have anything to do with the original. Aside from a stupid tie in that the main character killed Pat Bateman while he killed her babysitter, and a really bad attempt for a suprise explanation why shatner's character quit the FBI, any sign of the original movie is not found. With a horrible script, and subpar acting, this movie is not really worth watching. Please let this be the last.

Summary: Uh.......no
Review: I watched this thinking that this version would be a great sequel to the psychologial American Psycho but I was disappointed but not terribly. If this was a seperate slasher movie that had nothing to do with American Psycho I would give this movie 5 stars. The plot of this movie is that the girl witnesses her babysitter being killed by Patrick Bateman (the serial killer) which bascially starts her on the road to killing. She is a perfectionist in this movie. She wants nothing standing in the way of her future in the FBI so she wants to be the T.A. (teacher's aid) but their are other people wanting the T.A. postion too so you can just guest what she's going to do. She doesn't have the craziness that Patrick Bateman had but she has a certain calmness when she kills like she's not even doing it. I would buy this dvd because its a "good" movie to watch maybe on a rainy day when its dark and creepy. The dvd version is a waste. It barely has the basics. What it has is the commentary pretty much. Overall this is a good slasher flick that should have been it's own movie instead of being a sequel.

Summary: Watchable but not great
Review: To my surprise this movie was not completely unwatchable. It probably should not really affiliated with the original American Pyscho, because it is in no way shape or form anything like it. It's connection to the original is barely tagged on to the beginning of the movie and really doesn't make much sense if you think about it. However, that only takes up a couple minutes and from there this movie turns into a generic psycho/slasher film. Mila Kunis, from that 70's show, does a passable job playing up the coldhearted femme fatale, but she's no all that great of an actress. Not sure why William Shatner is in this movie, but he's alright too.

The DVD offers a few extras including tow commentary tracks. This particualar movie doesn't really warrant two commentaries, but the director may have wanted to distance himself from the incredibly lame commentary provided by himself and Kunis. She apparently has never heard a commentary track before, and doesn't really know what to do except make stupid (and inappropriate) jokes, and talk the most boring aspects of the movie possible (like that it was cold during one scene).

Fans of the original American Psycho will want to go into this with no expectations or simply avoid it altogether.

Summary: Lower your expectations because....
Review: I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I was entertained by this movie. This isn't to say it wasn't without its problems, the title being the main problem. Had the film not been billed as a sequal to the Christian Bale movie in 2000, it could have stood better on its own as a indie film about an college serial killer.
Rachel Newman (Mila Kunis) is a bright, attractive co-ed, majoring in Behavioral Sciences. Her eye is on a teaching assistant position, which she believes will secure her future as an FBI agent after college. Of course, she will stop at nothing to obtain this position, even if it means offing the competition. As she descends into madness, it is almost comical, because everyone she comes into contact with, you are almost certain she is going to kill them. Kunis is unrelentless in her portrayal of the beautiful serial killer (which in and of itself it refreshing, being as how typically serial killers are male), although her "bad girl" narrations get pretty tiresome. Granted, the Rachel character isn't all that complex, but Kunis does a great job coming off sexy, creepy, and dedicated all at the same time.
The tie-in with the original American Psycho is pretty ridiculous, however. Rachel's babysitter six years ago had a date with Patrick Bateman and takes a twelve year old Rachel along. The babysitter and Bateman end up dead, Bateman at the hand of Rachel herself. Pretty lame and I am certain this was added later to cash in on the success of the original version for this strait-to-video release to make more money.
With its predictable moments, American Psycho 2 isn't the greatest serial killer movie to be made, but it doesn't aspire to be either. It's fun in a lot of ways but fans of the first should have low expectations. This is no rival by any means.

Summary: Offensive garbage
Review: This is the worst movie ever, I cant believe that this movie was made. Very dissapointing. Hopefully everyone who was involved with the production of "american psycho 2" will never make another film again after this disaster. Do your self a favor and buy the "sickening conceptions" special edition DVD instead.

Summary: An original script adapted into to a sequel to sell more...
Review: Um, where is it original? American Psycho 2 is an exceptionally bad sequel to the original movie, that one based on a novel, obviously this one not. It stars Jacky from That 70's Show (Mila Kunis) who spends her time trying to sound intelligent and insane in a movie whose script constantly tries to do the same, but always too hard. It supposedly picks up a while after the first film left off, with it's protagonist-- Patrick Bateman (originally played by Christian Bale), making his soon-to-be-famous final kill. In this film he is played by some faceless (or covered face, to be correct) actor in the most embarrassing stand-in since the guy who certainly wasn't Bela Lugosi in Plan 9 From Outer Space. Bateman's dinner guest decided to bring the girl she was supposed to be babysitting (Kunis) along for the ride and her presence becomes Patrick's end when she stabs him in the back with one of his own knives. From this point she goes on to college, kills a girl and steals her name, in an attempt to eventually get into the FBI so she can kill more bad guys one day. After a couple more killings on her way to her dreams she decides she might be nuts and goes to the worlds most intelligent shrink, who has figured out she is insane in one session with barely any dialogue (and not a single word that would give that strong of an impression). He calls her teacher ... and gives him news that one of his students is a little messed up in the head, but won't tell him who. ... I don't want to take the time to explain exactly how horrible each line of this script is and how improbable each plot development is, but I'll say William Shatner delivers the best line when he tells the shrink "don't give me any of your psycho babble bull****." Done.
