Summary: So very different
Review: So you liked Blade? Well roll over Blade and see how "real life" vampire hunters would live and die. A true horror film with no clever Computer FX or style over substance but with horrific moments when you feel what it would be like to live with such horror. From Start to finish this film is different to any vampire movie before it. It's an adult "Vampire movie with brains". If you want to sit and watch a film that will digust you but have you on the edge of your sit and is so much fun you won't want to stop watching then give this DVD title a go. John Carpenter may have just made the oddest but most adult Vampire movie yet...

Summary: A GREAT VAMPIRE/HORROR FILM.
Review: I this was on of Carpenter's best films. The acting is superb. James Wood, who can always be relied on, but also Thomas Ian Griffith, basically a B-Movie actor, but surpisingly good in this one. Also, Maximmilan Schell, although this represents a step down from, say, his performance in "Judgememnt at Nurenberg," where he played the prosecutor in a war crimes trial.

I can not agree with the negative reviews of "Vampires." I thought everyting about this film was OK.

Summary: A TOTALLY FAB MOVIE
Review: James Woods is always watchable and he is just perfect as Jack Crow. There is good support from Baldwin and Lee but it's a pitty that Griffith didn't have much dialogue. If he did his character would have been scarier. But with that one minor fault aside. This movie rocks!

Summary: action packed...good effects
Review: the head vampire in this movie is very good looking...that's what made me pay such close attention to it! the Whole stake in the heart thing to a 600 year old vampire was kinda weak though;in all actuality, valek could've stomped everyone's ass...it was severly lacking in reality and antagonizes vampires who are actually quite captivating

Summary: the confliction between the idea and the director
Review: In fact I expected this film to be more bewitching but unfortunately I could not say: two thumbs up because the main idea was a bit ludicrous. Over all, this was one of the good and tempered films that I have seen. The most important reason for this idea is of course its director: J.Carpenter.

Summary: CARPENTER CLASSIC!!!!
Review: Iam a very big John Carpenter fan, whats not to like, the Thing(One of the best movies of all time), They Live, Halloween, and the list goes on.Vampire$ is a great, action-packed movie with the only problem being the scriped, the movie drags a little during the middle but other then that it is a great Man's movie(Carpenter's mark except for StarMan). So see this movie and as for comparing it to Blade, don't. They are very, very different movies, Blade(great) is an action-superhero movie and Vampire$is a horror-western.

Summary: Was good but not as good as Blade
Review: I found it corny in some parts, but the vampires where good, and the story was quite good. Oh, does any one know when Blade 2 will come out???????

Summary: Best vampire movie i have seen in a long time!!!!!!
Review: This movie is very violent but that is the cool thing about it. James Woods plays a vampire slayer and he is out to kill a master vampire who does not fool around at killing annyone who gets in his way. I love this movie and if you like other horror movies you will love VAMPIRES.

Summary: Interesting concept, but ended up in failure
Review: I must say that I was originally trasfixed by Interview With a Vampire years ago. I have been looking for good Vampire movies since. Then came Blade. WOW! A very good flick. Then I heard about this particular title, and decided to watch it. It has a couple of really notable actors. Actors you would recognize by seeing them. It starts out somewhat odd. I like fast starting movies that grab you in the gut, and keeps you watching. But I think this one started too fast. Is that possible? After a few minutes I finally got into the movie. Only to be sadly dissapointed. The only saving grace is the Master Vampire. He was the show. In the end I was cheering for him (Afterwards I had to convince my wife I wasn't THAT weird).

Why is everyone comparing this movie with Snipe's Blade. Well, that's because Blade sets a new standard. One, that if ever surpassed, will be the greatest of all time.

Summary: Sucked
Review: This movie completly sucked, read the book it's a million times better, Carpenter should be shot for butchering it that badly. ALL I CAN SAY IS WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT.
