Summary: Pretty good!!!
Review: compared to a couple of the others this was a whole hell of a lot better. However the story line is somewhat difficult to follow. This time Freddy is trying to come out of the "Cinema World" and into the "Real World". It reunites Heather Langenkamp from Nightmares 1 and 3 with the original casts of those two films. It even has special appearances of Wes Craven, and Robert England (as himself not Krueger). I thought it was a very good film although 3 and 4 had better story lines.

Summary: A hellish and scary nightmare of a DVD!!!!
Review: I think this one of the best NOES movies. It's also one of the scariest. I saw it some on t.v. It was pretty cool. The DVD format is the best. It features a widescreen and fullscreen sides. It has a cool trailer. If you want to see a DVD movie that will scare the daylights out of you, buy this.

Review: Director Wes Craven and his cast star as themselfs in this wicked spin on the horror genre.Key players from eariier NOES installments are terrorized by Freddy Krueger and his razor fingered glove as he crosses over into their offscreen lives. It's a life imitating art twist thats ghoulishly fun.Rated R for language violence and gore.

Summary: Wes Craven, Creator Of The First, Returns, To Make The Last
Review: Heather Langenkamp (played by Heather Langenkamp), the actress who played Nancy Thompson in A Nightmare On Elm Street and A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors, is now having terrifying nightmares of the fictional dream murderer, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) and dismisses them as memories of working on numbers 1 and 3. After an interview, she visits Robert Shaye (played by himself) who asks if she'd like to star in a new ANOES film, directed by Wes Craven (himself). She declines, fearing for her son, Dylan (Miko Hughes, Pet Sematary) who's been watching the original film on TV. But as it turns out, Freddy is possesing Dylan's litte body, and Heather is scared.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a brilliant film, with much more charecter developement than any other sequels (although I still love most of the sequels) and is more of a fairy tale than a horror film. Other people, suh as Tuesday Knight, Nick Corri, Robert Englund, Marriane Maddelena, John Saxon, ZSA ZSA Gabor, and others play themselves in this one.

This DVD includes both a 1:85:1 widescreen ratio, and a 1:66:1 standard version. There are production notes, "Jump To A Nightmare" scene navigation, and an interesting commentary by director Wes Craven.

Summary: Better than the other 6 movies!
Review: This is actually much better than the other 6 movies, maybe because they have a too-much-wisecracking Krueger and basically no plot to 'em at all, but at times they seem very, very fuzzy.

"New Nightmare" gives a new meaning to "life imitating art," when Heather Langenkamp (playing herself) is working on the set of the 7th Elm Street movie, when she encounters earthquakes and members of the crew are having nightmares. When her toddler son seems possessed at times and is shouting Freddy Krueger threats in his sleep, she decides to investigate, leading to a true scare fest (also gory) and a sort of enigmatic ending, uncertain that Freddy is gone.

Perfectly executed, this film is far better and scarier than the rather trivial and stupid installments, and is almost as scary as "An American Werewolf In London."

Rated R for terror violence and gore, and for language.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: This movie was truely amazing. So much of real life added into the storyline. It is pretty amazing to take real people and thier real past with the movie industry and make a fictious story about thier lives. We are not dealing with Freddy in this movie, Freddy is just a character in the movies. What we are dealing with is some sort of demon or ancient evil that decides to take its form as Freddy. The concept is amazing. This evil is able to incorporate what Freddy does in the movies and turn it into real life. He needs to get through Heather who plays Nancy in the movies because she is the one who gave Nancy her strength and character. Alot of what happens is pretty amazing in this movie and actually parallels with real life, for example, when she goes to New Line and is offered a part in Wes' new movie, that is probably pretty similar to what really happened when she was offered the job to play herself in this movie. Of course some of the characters were false, such as her husband and son, but alot of other characters are the real thing, like Wes Bob, and John. This is truely an amazing movie, more because of the originality of the concept. It is certainly not as scary of the NOES films, but the concept is what the movie is about, not NOES. This is a must-see especially if you are a fan of Heather, and my doesn't she look good in this movie, she looks pretty much unchanged from when she did the NOES movies.
