Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good but the title is a little confusing and misleading
Review: Okay let me start off by explaining a little something about this movie. Even thought this is written by Jim Wynorski and is called Sorceress II it bears very little resemblence to the 1980's sword-and-sorcery flick Sorceress which was also written by Jim Wynorski. I think its a sequel to a different movie called Sorceress from the early 90's (also written by, you guessed it, Jim Wynorski.) So I'm not sure where this movie falls so keep that in mind.

Now on to the review. The premise here is half original half cliched. The story centers around a company which develops beauty products, but somehow wishes to use these products to take over the world (this plot point is mentioned in the beginning but pretty much dropped after that). The catch to this company is the fact that it is headed by a coven of witches/sorceresses (and at least one warlock), who in order to gain an immortal life, they must absorb the lifeforce of others (namely their employees) why they don;t do it to strangers and thereby avoid strange questions is beyond me. Enter a down-on-his-luck business man who takes a job that sounds too good to be true in a town called Coventy (subtle). He then encounters many women who not only are a little mysterious (and take to wearing pentagrams) are trying to seduce him. HE then decides to uncover the truth about his missing co-workers and predecessor. Thanks to the help of a few like-minde employees (one of which of course becomes the love interest, though the act is a little unbelievable). As things get unearthed, we soon find out that our protagonist is actually the son of a dead wizard who attempted to stand up to the coven before. With this knowledge in mind and the help of another Sorceress (who for some reason is fighting for good) our hero goes out to seek revenge. The movie then climaxes with one of the cheesiest spell battles I've ever seen in my life.

(...)

Well I must say that the plot was okay and kept me intrigued throughout (though admittedly it was mostly becuase I was trying to make sense of the plot holes), and the nudity wasn;t as excessive as it seems (though it makes up at least ten minutes or so of the running time) and it comes pretty cheap. So if you're looking for a cheap low-budget tale about witches or are a fan of Sorceress I (though I'm not sure which film that is) then by all means pick it up. But of course this movies not for everyone and even if you like the genre don't expect too much
