Summary: Nightmare on Elmstreet 2 is a terrible movie.
Review: Everything about this movie is bad. Bad acting, bad script, and bad directing. It is a shame that this movie didn't live up to the original Wes Craven classic. Many scenes in this film make absolutely no sense. Freddy Kruger goes from a cold-hearted killer to a jokester who has a lame "witty" remark for everything. The only reason why I gave it one star is that there wasn't an option for no stars.

Summary: A Pretty Good Sequel with the Gorgeous Mark Patton!!
Review: This second sequel to 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' is not as bad as some people say it is. It's got plenty of scary scenes especially towards the end as Freddy makes his appearance at the teenager's pool party. This story focuses more on its gorgeous young male lead Jesse (Mark Patton) who plays a sexually confused young boy who has the unfortunate experience of being invaded by Freddy. What interested me about this movie, is the gay undertones regards Jesse. Throughout the movie it refers to this a lot for e.g. Jesse's jock strap bare ass on the football pitch, the S&M killing in the shower and the gay feelings for his best friend Grady (Robert Rusler). This Nightmare movie sequel is far more enjoyable compared to the boring 'Dream Child' or 'Freddy's Dead'.

Summary: The worst of the series
Review: This movie doesn't really even take place in the dream world; it's all about freddy using this guy's body in the REAL world to kill. Not that scary.

Summary: NOES 2 Is a Big Mess
Review: NOES 2 is different from the other six installments of the film and is a big mess. Many thing's are unexpailned and don't make sense. The plot is basically about a young man named Jesse who moves into 1428 Elm St. in Springwood, five years after Nancy's encounter with Freddy Kruger in the classic original NOES. Freddy starts to take control of Jesse slowly. The movie as a whole just never makes sense, there a couple of reasons why:

1.) At the pool party, how could Freddy come to real life in the house, and when he breaks into the glass door going outside, he just dissapears only to pop up in real life to kill some kids and evntually dissapear again.

2.) Why is it not explained how Freddy can possess Jesse's body?, Freddy is a dream stalker in all the other NOES film's.

3.) When Freddy comes out of Jesse's Body to kill his friend Grady, how can Jesse just become normal again with no marks on him, Freddy just ripped out of Jesse's body?

4.) When Jesse is talking to his Friend Lisa, He states that Freddy is coming back inside him, but Freddy allready came out of his body.

5.) During the death scene of the gym teacher, we are not shown the gym teacher is dreaming, the gym teacher does not even know who Freddy Is. When the gym teacher was found dead the next morning in the showers, why wasn't anybody asking what would a gym teacher be in a shower area late night at school?

6.) At the very end, when Jesse defeats Freddy, how can Freddy take Jesse to a bus ride to Hell all over again?

This movie is joke in every way. Even in the scence where Freddy rips out Jesse's body it was bloody-disgusting. There is a difference between bloody-disgusting and scary. For the most part I like all the NOES movies except this junk. NOES 5 and 6 were pretty weak but certainly better than NOES 2. Why do you think Wes Craven had to get involved in NOES 3 and bring Heather Lankenkamp with him after this disasterous part 2.

Summary: Not as good as the original, but not as bad as people say
Review: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge takes a much different turn than the original classic did. A whole new cast is introduced. Five years after the first movie takes place, a new family moves into the house where Nancy Thompson once lived. Almost immediately, strange things begin to happen to teenager Jesse Walsh. He is having horrible dreams about Freddy. And when he stumbles upon the glove in the furnace, Freddy tells Jesse to kill for him. Soon, the killings begin again, but is Jesse really responsible?

The problems with this movie are few, but major. The murders all take place in the real world. No one is asleep when they die, which was the major plot line of the original movie. Also, the dream killer Fred Krueger officially becomes Freddy Krueger in this film. Many people seem to complain that the acting was poor in this movie and while it is not oscar winning performances, they get the job done. The biggest plus to be in this movie was the revelation of Nancy's diary which was left in the house. Several times it is read and it just feels good to have some connection to the original movie.

Overall, this movie is worth a look. Its certainly not terrible, but not great at the same time. It is almost a stand alone movie and the events that take place here are never again mentioned in the series.

Summary: Easily the worst of the series
Review: I always wondered why this movie was even made. It made no sense at all. From the begining I never even understood why Freddy has to posses someone's body in order to come back and terrify Springwood. Later on in the movie, it is impoosible to the way Freddy would haunt tenagers and dissapear in thin air, way too unrealistic and confusing. The part where Freddy came out of the boy's body and killed his friend was sick, and not very scary. A disgrace to the original. A good thing Wes Craven was involved in part 3 which should have been part 2.

Summary: Freddy's Back!
Review: This is not a lame sequel. It is a good horror movie with some sweet visual effects. Of course, its not the original, but it is worth watching. **1/2

Summary: Why Freddy's revenge is a great movie
Review: Tons of people think this movie is lame and/or camp. But I loved it.It's the best of the Elm Streets after the 1st one of corse. It focuses on the troubled young hero Jesse waslh and his family who have moved into Nancy's old house:the netorious 1428 Elm Street. Unbeknowest to them the vengeful Freddy Krueger is still lurking around. This movie's got killer one liners and it's really well paced and an excellant sequel altoghether. Mark Patton is great as Jesse (even if he does scream like a girl) and Robert Englund is great as Freddy, who spits out some of the movies best lines. Kim Myers(who really doesn't look that much like Meril Streep) does a fine job as Jesse's girlfriend, Lisa, and adds a strong female lead. There's also gore eg Freddy rips his way out of Jesse, but it's well done and not over the top. The movie focuses on the story not the gore, and that's the way to go.I love this movie it totally rocks, but it is so underated, I mean CUT it a bit of slack coz it's a great SLASH festival. So all in all excellant movie excellact acting one of my favroite movies ever. This was Deathgirl, telling you why Freddy's revenge is a great movie."One two, Freddy's coming for you..."

Summary: Your WORST Nightmare!
Review: Nightmare 2 was definatly the worst of the series. It was more gory and obnoxious than scary. The movie was released in 1985, a year after the original was released, but it's supposed to take place 5 years later? There were some good scenes though. Like the school bus scene and the pool party scene. The rest of it was gory, confusing, and stupid.

Summary: Tries to be scary, but not very thrilling
Review: After watching this movie, it seemed to me that it was rushed coming out a year after the classic part one. There are just to many things about this movie that never made sense. For instance, After the ending of part one, it is not explained why Freddy has to posses a young man's body to start getting to rest of the Elm St. kids. In the movie, Freddy tries to take over a Jess's body, whose family has moved to 1428 elm st, five years after Nancy from part one. He eventually comes out his body and keeps on coming in and out of the real world, and you always try to figure out what is going on. It is also weird at times, where birds would just combust into thin air, and lighting bolts would strike out of no where, plus the temp. in the house would be extremely high, making the family very confused, and me as well. The scene where Freddy comes out Jesse's stomach and kills his friend was just not scary, don't beleive what others tell you. It was disgusting more than anything. They try to mak e Freddy in the shadows, but the movie is just poorly produced and directed. The creators of this movie should be ashamed of themselves.
