Review: As a big werewolf movie fan I had to go out and buy this one. I have never seen the London earlier version. But this one does justice to all the low budget werewolf horror flicks out there. Plenty of comedy and scenes that will make your spouse jump.

Summary: I'm dispointed
Review: Being a big fan of the John Landis original I decided to give this movie a chance and sat down with some popcorn and soda and hit "play." Moments later I was shaking my head and pondering switching to one of my favorite television shows.
This movie is a pale imitation of the original `American Werewolf in London' and I imagine that the director of that 1981 classic John Landis was none to pleased to be associated with this production (in the credits it refers to using characters from the original).
Right from the get-go we can tell though that whereas the original had a wicked gry streak of humor to it (one of the tracks was `Blue Moon') this one is instead going to take a more slapstick approach.
As the movie begins we join three American friends who are on a round Europe trip taking a series of daredevil stunts. Being obviously hormone driven (they all eye-up a French girl on the train and discuss how European girls are more sophisticated), I would venture a guess they would feel quite at home in a Farrelly brothers production. Upon arrival in the French capital they sneak onto the Eiffel Tower at night and as one of them prepares to bungee jump off the top some quick thinking allows the hapless hero to save a girls life.
Left with only the girls shoe the three track down the girl down after which time they discover her deep secret.
This may be some people's idea of a great or fun movie. Personally though it was not mine and afterwards I did switch to watch Prue, Piper and Phoebe battle demons and warlocks.
One bright spot this movie does have is some pretty nifty werewolf effects

Summary: Enjoyable for what it is
Review: Watch this moving with no expectations, no presumptions, and I suspect you will enjoy it.
If you are out to "Critically analyse it" , it will probably let you down.
No pun intended, but this film is more comedic /visceral.
Bottom line is that it is entertaining. Enough supernatural, enough comedy, and a good mix of elements to be enjoyable.

Summary: Never got into my blood...
Review: Bet you never thought I'd review a movie worthy of
nothing more than a "0". I found one.

Whatever you do, do not waste your time with "An
American Werewolf in Paris." Billed as a sequel to
the classic "An American Werewolf in London", this
total BOMB is an abomination to the horror film
industry and genre. I guess you need a few bad one's
now and then to totally appreciate true horror, but
this one is like mixing pickles with raw lemons and
sushi.

The acting was the only thing noteworthy. It was the
only horror in this film...simply horrendous.

What an insult to the hereforementioned Julie Delpy.
I used to like her. Her career should end with this
one...PLEASE!!!

The script is juvenile, the special effects are lame.
Video games offer better graphics. The opening and
closing scenes are so stupid I feel embarrassed to
even mention I spent 90+ minutes of my day watching
this...^^&^%$&*^%$$ (we'll leave it at that).

In many ways, I feel the director (I won't even post
his name so I can spare him public scrutiny) was
trying to create a flick similar to "From Dusk Till
Dawn". This guy took a nap from dusk till dawn and
produced a total loser. If you want to see a true
werewolf horror film...avoid this (completely) and see
"From Dusk Till Dawn", starring George Clooney, Harvey
Keitel, Juliette Lewis and Quentin Tarantino. Now
that's "Horror"!!!

Yep! A solid "0" in my movie notebook. AAWIP is one
of the worst horror films I've ever seen. Shame on
you Julie Delpy.
