Review: I was a little uneasy about the differences of opinion on the reviews on here. After reading them, i chanced it and bought the DVD and kept jumping through the entire movie! The plot was awesome. There is only one small scence in the movie where someone is singing to "total eclipse of the heart" but that was it!!! Everythin else rules!!!!!! All that acting was pretty good and the effects were nice. The killer kinda sent chills down your spine too!!! If you dont believe me, rent it then go for it and buy it!!! It was truly in the footsteps of " scream" and " i know what you did last summer". A total party movie. If you're a fanatic, then go for it!

Review: I saw this film and was SO scared, I saw it twenty-five times after! Sure a lot of scenes (swimming pool) were stupid, but when things jump out- and they DO, it is so scary!!!! Buy this DVD now! The plot is so smart and the idea of a UL serial kiler is so cool and the acting of Joshua and Alicia and Rebecca is too good to miss!

Summary: The disgrace of all movies that reeked of cheese
Review: After which renting this movie which I had been told was good, I sincerely regret it. I honestly wish I could give this horrible, horrible, masterpiece of garbage a -5 star rating. I wasted my free rental coupon for a movie not even worth the filth on bottom shoe, that I stepped in, on the way to Blockbuster. I honestly can't beleive how poorly this movie was plotted out. There we many obvious gaps in this movie, not to mention failure on the part of many characters. On top of all these gaps such as no police ever being around, or a 25 year-condemned building still standing(for what?, a murder?). The two characters near the ending smiling and laughing at it all. Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving away the plot at all. The movie is written so well you never know what is going to (or what is) happen. If it was up to me I would rate this worst movie of all time. That's right, nationally nominated "Plan 9 From Outer Space" gets bumped up a slot. So basically I do not recommend this movie for people of any age. I'd put this movie in the genre of "mental correction". Thanks for reading my opinion.

Summary: Sweet Movie
Review: I don't know why you guys didn't enjoy, "Urban Legend". O.k., o.k., so it wasen't scary, the acting wasen't that good, Tara Reid needs to learn how to run, and so does everybody else in that movie. But c'mon, it was awesome. I mean how could you not enjoy this movie. The first 10 minutes of the movie was the best. I mean, who would have thought that the killer was ????? You need to find that one out by yourself. Another thing, it wasen't gory so that made it really good because it didn't make you want to barf like "Scream" (I did enjoy that movie though). If you liked "Scream", "Scream 2", "I Know What...", you will love this movie. As a little recap, the movie is awesome, although there are some parts that are pretty dumb, it is awesome. The killer will keep you guessing until the very end. Rent this movie today, it's also better on DVD.

Summary: Such a waste
Review: Alicia Witt is one of the best actresses alive today. If you can find copies of some of her more obscure works, such as Fun and especially Hotel Room, I strongly encourage you to check them out. However, she displays absolutely none of her huge talent in this predictable mess of a horror movie. Nobody else does, either. When Robert Englund turns in the best performance in a movie, in what was basically a joke cameo, what does that say? The direction was big on fake scares and people jumping out of the dark while the music blasts, and short on suspense or ingenuity. The killer's identity and motive is ridiculous beyond words. The plot holes are legion; over and over again, things happen which simply can't occur in real life (like covering up all those murders). All we're left with is just another Scream clone.

Summary: As close to another "Scream" as we're gonna get....
Review: The first thing you've got to know before seeing Urban Legend is this ain't no five star movie. There are lots of "dumb characters", convenient plot devices and most of the acting is throwaway. But the story idea is awesome. More deeply textured than Scream, Legend explores all those stories that we're told and we believe simply because they've been passed around forever. This gives the film a little more depth than the average slasher film, though note it does not have nearly the savage wit that made Scream so fantastic----it lacks the ability to make fun of itself. What is has going for it though, is a great base story line and two young actresses (Alicia Witt and Rebecca (ok, she's 26) Gayheart), who have spent most of their careers hanging around as accessories in TV Movies or Commercials, and now have the chance to show their stuff. And do they ever.....Gayheart in particular tears down the screen during the last 15 minutes. If you're a fan of the genre, rent it.....you won't be disapponted.
