Summary: The Nightmare ain't over yet
Review: The first thing I thought of after this movie ended was it was pretty similar to Part 4. The whole vibe and feel and the way the characters were developed seemed very similar. Of course, like most reviewers, I did not find this movie very "thrilling" at all, but then again, I didn't take it very seriously. For one thing, (a note to a previous reviewer) Freddy did not kill off every teenager in the nation. He only killed off all the "Elm Street" children, the children of the parents who killed him before (apparently someone missed the whole point of the series). Some parts of this movie are amusing--not the one liners--but the visuals. For example, the way Freddy kills "John Doe" with his Wile E. Coyote-esque rig and stuff of the sort. The story itself is kind of interesting, I won't ruin it for you though. Of course, the ending totally sucked, nothing special, no big huge finale, just boom, he's dead. Not very interesting. The credits were rather entertaining however with a retrospective on Freddy's life, which, if you are a Nightmare fan, you must see.

Summary: What took them so long?
Review: I've got to be honest, I enjoyed Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. What took the filmmakers so long to make this film? This movie is almost better than all the other sequels together. This time, it's not just Freddy killing children in their dreams. We learn about his history, and the mystery to why he was such a psycho. Plus, you'll meet a living family member. If you want the best out of this movie, I recommend buying the NOES Collection 8-DVD pack. It comes with 3d glasses so you can watch the original 3d ending to this film. I found this film fun, so I recommend it to any fan.

Summary: One of the best and most innovative in the series
Review: I had been waiting for the name Rachel Talalay to appear in the director caption for a long time by the time she finally got there. She had a hand in practically all of the sequels up this point without directing. It was about time she got her chance, and boy did she deliver. What a great movie! This is a terrific piece of entertainment. Sure, Freddy is not as scary as he used to be, but he makes up for it with some hilarious one-liners. This may not be a horror film in the sense of the original but it is a great movie nonetheless: A perfect blend of thriller and comedy. The kind of blend that "Dream Master" wanted to achieve but couldn't. Another reason for this film's greatness is the incredible visual style of Rachel Talalay. The visual effects in this movie are fantastic. I love the dream sequences and the sharp edge that the film gives them. And I also like how Rachel Talalay gave a clearer picture of what happens to the person who is asleep from a watcher's perspective. It was cool to see the characters walk on air up imaginary stairs and hop through a house like a Super Mario Bros. character. This is a terrific way to spend your time. Kick back with some Doritos and a soda, and enjoy "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare." Although the finality of it is still to be determined...

Summary: Happy Fathers Day.
Review: I like how this movie went to the actual town where the Elm Street children were murdered; to see how the town changed after all the murders. You even get to see Freddy's personal family and life before became a filthy child murderer. And it was fun to see what his daughter did once she wore his glove.

Summary: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Review: I thought of all seven films that this one was the best. It was comedy and horror in one. Freddy a great funny killing character sure did wrap it up with the 6th Nightmare film. The kids on Elm Street get sick of Freddy so then they pull him out of their dreams. Freddy blew up but is it really the end of Freddy? No.

Summary: Worst of the series
Review: "Freddy's Dead" could've been a lot better than it was. It's the worst movie from the Nightmare On Elm Street series. The main thing I didn't like about it was that it wasn't scary at all, in fact, it's more corny than it is scary. It seems like the director tried to make some parts of the movie funny, such as when Freddy is controlling one of his victims in a video game. But it's not funny either, it's corny.

In this final chapter from the Nightmare On Elm Street series, Freddy haunts his daughter and her friends.

The only real good thing about the movie is that it has good special effects. Other than that, it's a major disappointment when you compare it to the other movies in the series. I wouldn't recommend getting "Freddy's Dead."

Summary: Freddy is not scary no more
Review: I am a fan of the original and loved his creepy old voice and devilish tantics but all the rest except 3 and 7 was all comedy and it was not even scary any more. I hope they bring back the original in theatres for an anversary or something because that really creeped me out back in the day.

Summary: Easily Freddy's Worst Outing
Review: Note: Spoilers.

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is the sixth (but not final chapter in the hugely popular Nightmare On Elm Street series (aka NOES).In my honest opinion,it's without a doubt the worst of the series.Freddy's one-liners are way too over the top. He's a Chris Rock clone here.He uses non-stop profanity, silly tactics, and nearly all of his one-liners are lame.Heck, their so lame,I didn't even find them funny at all! His new style of make-up is also sub-par.His face has (slightly) more skin than usual, whereas his face is supposed to look hideously burnt. In FD,it DOES look pretty badly burnt, but it's nothing compared to what he looks like in Parts 1,2,3,4,5,and 7 (New Nightmare). The story is also very lamely written,as is the script. How did Freddy manage to kill off each and every single living Teen and Child in the ENTIRE Nation? Im was soooo puzzled at that.Freddy killed nearly everyone under the age of 21! The characters are also badly developed.Freddy's new jokes are very stale and are somewhat played out.The Teens in this film are quite possibly Freddy's least interesting Victims. Let's get back to the lack of development for the characters. They are all simply one dimensional, are totally not believeable, and Freddy simply isn't that frightening anymore. One of the Survivors,Tracy,is a real b***h.She's pretty annoying and bossy, and isn't nice to anyone at all.At times you'll feel like spanking her.The way Freddy is killed off is also VERY VERY lame.He gets his fingers broken, nailed to a wall, and is blown up by....a pipe bomb? What kind of dumb a$$ ending is that? My Dog could've thought of something better! However,FD: TFN,is a half decent horror movie. The special F/X are still top-notch (the sequences where John has Nightmares in a Haunted Bedroom are superb) and the finale is very interesting and unique. The soundtrack is also great, with fantastic rock tunes and a rockin' good song in the ending credits. The death scenes are really cool too.Carlos' death is purely a classic scene and Spencer dies really well. Overall,Freddy's Dead is a half decent horror flick and a barely acceptable and watchable episode of the NOES series.I only recommend it to REALLY big Freddy fans out there.Everyone else, approach this with extreme caution. The follow-up,New Nightmare (Part 7) was written and directed by series creator Wes Craven and is soooooooo much better and more enjoyable.Bottom Line: unless your a HUGE Freddy fan, skip this and watch Parts 3 and 7 instead. My official rating for Freddy's Dead: ***1/2 (just barely).
