Rating: Summary: It's Ok But You're Not Missing Much Review: It was an OK movie. I've seen much better horror films. This one had only a couple of scenes that made me jump and only a few scenes with special effects which is disappointing. I can see why critics give it a poor rating because it can be lagging in some parts. There is no plot and they could have made it more exciting. I preferred the first Blair Witch to this one. The ending of this movie is extremely disappointing. Rent it but don't buy it.
Rating: Summary: This isn't Blair Witch! Review: What the hell happened here? I enjoyed the first Blair Witch but this sequel is just about fans of the first Blair Witch movie hanging out of the area where the first movie was filmed. Boy what a waste of money. It's a very good thing I didn't see this in theaters because I would have fallen asleep. When I saw the first Blair Witch in the theater I wanted to know what really happened right after they got stuck in that creepy house at the end of the movie. I wanted this sequel to be about those missing kids in the woods not about fans who want to find out what happpened to them. This sequel made me really disappointed please don't waste your money! If you want to see a good horror flick go rent Disturbing Behavior stay away from this one!
Rating: Summary: Scary Review: Holy crap. this movie( i thought ) was scarier than the first one. but this is a different kind of scary. The first one was pyschologicaly scary, this one was visualy scary. if u want to see a movie that doesnt stray from the Blair 1 plot, dont see this movie. it doesnt have very much to do with the first 1. This movie also isnt in the camcorder view, like the first one. its just a regular old movie. Good good movie. you gotts see it.
Rating: Summary: Not great, but could have been worse... Review: The most original thing about The Blair Witch Project was that it appeared to actually be a real documentary. Well, this isn't the case in BW2. So you could expect that that the sequel lacking the most interesting aspect of the original film would be awful - but, actually, it isn't. I wouldn't say that it is an extraordinarily great movie, but it is good fun. I think that the only problem about it is that it has no real high point, lacking a furious showdown as it is typical for a horror movie. But this film is really okay.
Rating: Summary: Better than i thought!! Review: After watching the first Blair Witch movie i had something like " i hope they don't make a sequel". So i didn't went to the the cinema to see Book of Shadows. But when i saw it standing on the shelfs in the video store i had a feeling like i have to see it!! And i'm glad i saw it! It has not much to do with the original Blair Witch movie, but this one on it's self is a great movie! A very chilling movie and great music makes this movie for me one of the best i've seen this year. I think it's a very scary movie and the acting isn't that bad as most of the people say. If you like good horror movies this is definitly one to watch!!!
Rating: Summary: Great film ,, GREAT! Review: In the beginning it makes you think that is pretty the same with the first movie. Then you realise how great it is. Scary enough, it makes you wonder "what the heck is going on?". It is pretty strange and original. Anyone who likes movies with witches or even teen terror should watch this. It is definitely NOT a waste of time. It also has a lot of informations about wicca and witches in general.
Rating: Summary: Suprisingly Great! Review: Now, I don't care what others think, I loved this. It's one of the movies I actually got scared by along with "The Shinning," "The Sixth Sense," and "The Blair Witch Project." And those of you who think I've only seen about 9 horror movies, I'm a horror movie fanatic who has seen an uncountalbe amount. Hell, "Silence of the Lambs" didn't scare me, but this one did. It was based on true police records of things that happened after "The Blair Witch Project." About 5 "obsesed movie fans" going out into where the Blair Witch supposedly is. They black out and find the footage of what they were doing. When they all start to turn on each other, some of them get killed, and the remaining ones get arrested with fake video footage. And believe me, I tryed to keep it so I don't tell you the whole movie, so there is still a lot more in the movie itself. There are ghost images in outakes and in the feature itself, which was the part that really creeped me. The ghost images were supposed to be by the Blair witch, who we actually see in the movie. I'm not that stupid. Those images were real and couldn't have been made to form locks like a pentigram or show a face of a victim in the window. This movie will leave you hanging, which is the sign of a great suspense movie, I learned when we watch "The Birds" for our video unit in school (that movie sucked though) but it will also make you a believer. It made one out of me. This is a creepy movie, so you better be ready for it. So now, I want this movie to own on DVD for the movie, features and great soundtrack!
Rating: Summary: Better than the original? No...but pretty darn close Review: First of all, I loved The Blair Witch Project. It was my favourite film of 1999, and naturally I was quite excited when I heard about the sequel. Book of Shadows is a masterpiece, pure and simple. It doesn't quite surpass the orignal, but that doesn't matter. This film was totally bashed by critics and fans alike, but I don't understand why. What did they expect? A candidate for Best Picture? While this film won't win any awards, it's still extremely satisfying. If you're a fan of the original, you will most likely enjoy the sequel. Even non-fans will find a rather enjoyable movie.
Rating: Summary: What Is Going On?!!! Review: I have just experienced the most horrifying tragedy of my entire life. It's called Blair Witch 2. There is no story, no acting, no "book of shadows,"-- not even a Blair Witch. This sequel, to one of the most original films in years, jumps freely off the cliff of franchise and commercialization into an abyss of hell on film. What is going on?!! What did the industry think? That just because the Witch's name was on the title that no one would notice that there was no story to the movie? Well, sorry to disappoint you big studio heads, but your audiences aren't that stupid.
Rating: Summary: Terribly Underrated; will play head games with you Review: This had to be one of the wierdest, creepiest, and also undeservedly scorned film ive seen in a while. It plays knowing that it is unusual, and never fails to make you squeeze the persons hand sitting next to you. The characters act as if knowing some false sense of reality of the blair witch, and it makes it even more disturbing for them to find out what really went on that night they got drunk. If you are a fan of films that play head games with you, RENT THIS. i garuntee at least one thought provoking image or line. Only minus is some cheesy dialogue, BUT THAT"S IT AND THERE ISN"T THAT MUCH OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTE: DEFINATLY BETTER than first movie
