Summary: exorcist 2 - the heretic
Review: "The Exorcist 2" is an all time classic, very well directed by John Boorman ("Deliverance"), with great actors and pretty good looking Linda Blair. People should watch this underrate movie, anyway what the critics says. This new 118. minute version goes deeper in the background story and shows much more brilliant details. Excellent also the creepy soundtrack by ennio morricone! Get this movie, folks !

Summary: Hmmm...
Review: To be quite honest, I've never actually seen The Exorcist 2 in it's entirety (is that a word?), but I've seen a good 45 mins. of it and, well, it wasn't exactly Oscar material, unlike the first one. Linda Blair is in it, so that's good, but it still is a tank...the film mainly deals with how Regan got possessed in the first film (my favorite movie ever), but it doesn't really make sense, becuase at the end of The Exorcist, Chris tells Father Dyer: "She doesn't remember any of it", (referring to the possession) but in this film, it's as if Regan remembers everything! All said, I consider The Exorcist 2 to be a spin-off rather than a sequel. A sequel to The Exorcist is completely unnecessary, first off because there is nothing more to be said - the story's over. Second, it's absolutely impossible to top The Exorcist - it's the best film ever made, after all.

Summary: Not like the first, but still gets the job done.
Review: This movie continues the story of Regan McNeil and her troubles with the evil spirit Pazuzu. Regan (Linda Blair) is older now (and looks very pretty) and is seeing a therapist to deal with her horrible experience that took place in the first movie. A priest (Richard Burton) is sent to investigate the death of Father Merrin (the exorcist in the original movie) which he must question Regan. James Earl Jones even makes an appearance in this movie as an African who was also possessed by Pazuzu. This movie has great visuals, decent special effects, a great soundtrack, and an interesting continuation of the Exorcist saga. The ending will suprise you because you will never even imagine what happens. The only glitch in this movie is it may run a little slow for this era and the acting isn't up to par, but if you enjoyed the first one you must see this one to see what happens to poor little Regan.

Summary: A few more thoughts.
Review: Although I did like this movie as you may have read in my earlier review, I'd like to denote a major complaint of mine. Why does this movie completely forget or ignore Father Karras' involvement with Regan's salvation. I mean he did give his life for her and a large chunk of the original film had to do with his loss of faith. I think the only reference to Father Karras in this film is when Dr. Tuskin (Louise Fletcher) says that Regan's loss of memory was due to the tremendous guilt she had for the three people who died as a result of her being in the state she was in. I'm assuming that included in the three is Father Karras. [sigh]

Summary: TERRIFYING AND STUNNING!!!
Review: THE TERROR CONTINUES IN THIS CHILLING SECOND CHAPTER TO THE FAMOUS EXORCIST. LINDA BLAIR RETURNS AS RAEGEN WHO IS STILL TORMENTED BY NIGHTMARES OF HER HORRIBLE EXORCISM 4 YEARS AGO AND ONLY A PRIEST AND A PSICHIATRIST CAN HELP HER FROM THE EVIL DEMON PUZUZU WHO POSSESSED HER. THIS FILM INCLUDES HORRIFYING IMAGES OF A BOY NAMED COCOONO WHO WAS A HEALER BEING POSSESSED BY THE DEMON AND FATHER MERRIN DRIVING THE DEMON AWAY FROM HIM. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS MOVIE IS PROBABLY NOT THE NUMBER 1 FILM BUT IT WAS GREAT IN MY OPINION.

Review: Linda Blair looks so good in this movie! My favorite parts are when Linda's talking to Dana Plato (Autsitic girl) and when she has that dream and sleepwalks! it's not as bad a people say!

Review: Not what I really had in mind, for a scary movie. I thought, that it would be scary, because the first one, scared me really bad.

Summary: Please read (My personal thoughts)
Review: Okay first let me say that if you're looking for this tape to excel the original or for lot's of possesion scenes this will be a let down. Personally I thought this movie wasn't as bad as many say. It's nice to see an older Reagan and how she moves on with her life. This movie is more about the demon Pazuzu himself. It answers a few questions I had about the first which was nice. A big thing was the music . I thought that the finale (Regan's theme) was beautiful. I don't think Linda Blair gives such a bad preformance either. Okay time for the downside. The movie does drag on a lot and can come to be quite confusing. However if you watch it a few times it will come clear to you in time. What bugs me the most is Blatty stated in his novel and in the movie Regan was choosen to be possesed to show that all humans are evil and ugly. What it was saying was that if that demon could posses an innocent child and turn her into something twisted ...what does that seem to say? Well what bugged me is that in this movie they suggest Regan was choosen for a diffrent purpose. Because she was an angel or a healer. Something like that. Also the first one mentions that she doesn't remember. So she couldn't possibly know she had a demon inside her as they suggest in the sequal. Somethings don't match up but overall this movie ain't bad. Give it try and watch with an open mind.

Review: I don't understand why The Exorcist II is considered such a bad movie.I think it was excellent. It did alot of explaining for the first one. I could watch it over and over again.i find it to be very scary.

Summary: This sequel needs an exorcist, too.
Review: I've really tried to enjoy this movie. Linda Blair agreed to this providing she wouldn't have to don the makeup again. Why did they still proceed, I wonder? The good news: Linda's cuter, good cast, slick look, neat cinematography. Those looking for a frightening movie with gruesome special effects will be disappointed, however. And I have a hard time following the story and the various cuts of this movie add confusion. Director Boorman did a helluva better job on "Deliverance."
