Summary: great King movie
Review: Cujo is one of those great Stephen King movies. The book translates well into film (sure, the ending is different, but while the one ending is right for the book, this ending is right for the film). The acting is superb. The writing is great and believable. The direction and cinematography is great. Dee Wallace is wonderful as is Danny Pintauro (who played Tad), but the true star were the five St. Bernards, the one mechanical head the the guy in the suit that played Cujo. A lot of King's books have trouble making it to film. Cujo isn't one of those.

Summary: Something a little different for all Stephen King fans!
Review: Cujo to me is unlike any other Stephen King film, or book for that matter. Personally I am one of those people who honestly thinks that most horror films are jokes when it comes to genuine scares or thrills. In Cujo there aren't many, if any at all, but the story itself is interesting enough to make it a quality film. Now don't get me wrong, not everyone is like me and this movie can and does deliver on the scares for some other people I know who have seen it. The story moves rather quickly as the downward spiral for the tragic title character (dog) is set right from the opening scene. The acting is average for the time (1983) and the plot sometimes leaves you wondering..What the hell?...While not classic King horror..I.E. "The Shining", "Salem's Lot", "Christine"....it won't dissapoint many horror fans...Give it a try!

Summary: A killer Kanine movie
Review: Cujo was a great "horror" movie that seems to never lose its touch, much like other 80's horror films. It starts of as Cujo, the furry, lovable St. Bernard chases a rabbit down a hole and then there he gets bit by a rabid bat. But from then on, you just want to fast foward it to the good parts where Cujo starts killin', much like the book went when you might've scanned it, looking for the best parts. The movie wasn't lame, just a little moving as if you actually feel pity for that killer dog. And the DVD features no trailer. Of course when it was out on the big screens, no one wanted to think that Cujo was a dog. Its a great movie, serously. Just check it out and see for yourself.

Summary: Its ok
Review: Cujo was a very mediocre horror film based on kings work. Not up to par.

Summary: Very Faithful Adaptation
Review: Cujo was very close to the book, and it was a good movie. It had pretty good special effects for a movie made in 1983. It had good actiung too. A great performance by Danny Pintauro and Dee wallace.

Summary: CUJO, a great Movie but what happend to the DVD?
Review: CUJO, a truely gripping and terrorfying movie experience. When i first saw it i was so scared i nearly cried with fear. Now however that it has seen the light of DVD, i wonder to myself what went wrong? The Sound and Picture are very good even though its presented in Mono, its not in Widescreen which is dissapointing and as for the Extras, what Extras. Theres just nothing on this Disc. All we have here is the scene index. It still is an essential if your a Dee Wallace fan like me but nether the less a Disc with no Exrtas can be a dissapointment.

Summary: One of the all time classic horror movies.
Review: Featuring a rabid St. Benard who turns into a vicious killing machine who traps a wife and child in a broken down car in the middle of nowhere, Cujo takes suspense to a whole new level.

Sure, the first half of the film is pretty paint by numbers stuff that features no horror and gore whasoever, but that was so you can get acquainted with the characters.... Cujo is technically an innocent victim of an evil disease, you can see that King didn't want this to be the typical "evil dog vs. caring owners" storyline... but basically ir comes down to a dog named Cujo getting bitten by a rabid bat. He then goes on a killing spree. Tad Trenton and his mom go to a farm to get their car fixed. Too bad when they get there, the people who were supposed to fix the car get killed by the dog. Then, the car breaks down, and all hell breaks loose.

The problems with the movie are few, but deadlier than the vicious streak of Cujo. The movie is too boring early on, and the ending ... a big one. Plus, the DVD features no extras whatsoever, just improved sound quality and scene selection. The visuals are the same as they were in the 80's, so dont expect anything too great.

This is not a revolutionary film by any means, but Cujo delivers what King wanted it to: a tale of evil vs. good, but with shades of gray. And Cujo just looks too cool to be ignored for long. I reccommend seeing this movie without a doubt. It is one of my favorite horror movies of all time.
