Summary: The best of the lot
Review: Rarely does a film contain actual scary moments, genuine rather than forced humor, strong characters and a decent story and this sixth Friday the 13th film had it all. If the entire series had been this great, I'm sure it would be respected more. Granted there are some other decent entries, with more scares and sense of dread in some of them but this one for me is the best all around. I can not wait though for the new special edition box set in Sept. 2004. Hopefully Paramount will put alot more than a teaser trailer on the discs as extras.

Summary: Jason Lives for another go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The best of all the Jasons. The killing spree begins again when they resurect Jason by lightnin hitting a pole that had gotten driven inside him by a pissed off person. He punches through a guy and rips out his heart. So the killing spree begins again. Thank god, I was getting sick of people imitating Jason.
So Jason goes back to the camp crystal lake for another go at what he does best. So go out and get it Now.

Summary: Jason Voorhees's America:Sigh, It Never Does Change Does It.
Review: Footnote: Official Actual Review: 0 stars (0 star rating)

As for this filmed rendition of more unattractively inane psychobabble melodrama, Tom McLoughlin's colorfully asinine Friday the 13th: Part VI: Jason Lives (1986) chronicles Tommy Vargas's (Thom Mathews) next sizable encounter with the hockey-masked indestructible fiend of countlessly unending animalistic exploits. Years after the events in the last film, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (yeah, it certainly was, right...), Vargas still immediately wrestles with his emotionally doubtful personal demons in regards to the fateful demise of the incurably unforgettable bogeyman of his emotionally scorched youth, none other than Jason Voorhees. So Jarvis cavalierly ventures towards the Crystal Lake cemetery where the aforementioned remains of Jason Voorhees are supposedly buried. As Vargas and one of his friends from Part 5's mental health ward (according to this film not Part 5) vigorously exhume Jason Voorhees burial plot (I didn't know his decapitated mother from Part 2 left him one?), the meteorological elements in the night skies above begin to violently thunder storm. Pitch-perfectly right as Jason's corpse is finally unearthed by Jarvis and company, the real farce of a film really climatically begins with a great whaling of narrative ineptitude that doesn't seem to have any competition for its utter supreme stupidity except for the other chapters of this eleven part horror canvas of massively incompetent cinematic enfeeblement.

Jason Voorhess vitality survives still beyond ending chapters, Manhattan sabbaticals, final Fridays, 2001 space joy rides, and King Kong Vs. Godzilla shenanigans. Indeed, Jason Voorhees lives still in the nightmares of those who lust for quality. Jason Voorhess breathes still to those who ritualistically still seek originality. Jason Voorhess's degenerative heart pumps still to those who invariably desire literate well told tales of wickedness yet blindly receive only air-headed spectacles of premium bloodshed. Jason Voorhees accursed lungs still exhale to anyone seeking honesty from the onset of horror film's unthinkable yet are regrettably only endowed with writhing teens going through the motions. Jason Voorhess glaring garish spine supports horror movies still every time a movie sorority chick in a tank-top two-sizes too small rather than leaving a haunted locale decides to have a party in it instead. Jason Voorhess beleaguered monstrous face inarticulately scoffs at us still every time a brain deficient groupie enthusiastically recounts special effects blissfully rather than recall a story. Jason Voorhess shapeless indefinable body moves still every time a filmed horror chase comes along and all the director can think about is how much clothes should my romantic lead wear. Jason Voorhess calloused feet reek still every time one seeking the likes of The Exorcist or Jaws are given Resident Evil or Underworld promptly instead. Jason Voorhees palpable pulse still quickens as horror films remain as increasingly shallow and just as equally deluded as pornography. Jason Voorhess odiously repellent skin blushes still as only foreigners seem to capture the dread that was once exclusively and unequivocally American. Jason Voorhess abhorrently repugnant blood boils still as what was once mood, atmosphere, and craftsmanship in the movies has evolved into childish, infantile, and undisciplined. Finally Jason Voorhess infernal legacy remains entombed upon us all, living in a society that can seriously call Jeepers Creepers 2, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, or The House of the Dead or one of their ilk as the greatest film accomplishments since sliced bread.

This is Jason Voorhees's new America of the unmoving and the pedomorphic petty prattling of the infantile. Hopefully with all due candor you enjoy just as little of this as I do. Debauchery has always loved company after all, and so now does seemingly everyone else. It's time to arise aback from Hollywood's chasm of pseudo-intellectual shoveling of pungent rotting stink wherever and whenever it may stick. Tinseltown subliminally desires Freudian realization through the only means possible: financial deprivation. It's time to demand our forum and our medium back from the smut peddlers and porn purveyors of mindless corporate mindlessness that has leveled the enshrined legacy of David O. Selznick's and John Ford's adoring wistful hopes for America in her past and in her future into their rancid ashes of profuse off-balanced depravity and snide irony of prevalent perversity. We must take back our right to expression and freedom to externalize it in the forum of national consciousness, or our children are doomed to be indoctrinated and enslaved by the parasitic inanity that Hollywood most adeptly procreates.

As for the DVD release of Friday the 13th: Part VI: Jason Lives, this edition contains a stellar performing 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation, a competently noticeable Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround soundtrack, a theatrical trailer, and nothing else.

P.S. What's next for Jason Voorhess? I mean really. Are we going to have a James Cameron's Garish Abyss or a Micheal Bay homage entitled: Pearl Camp Harbor. I suppose the camp's the limit. At any rate New Line already has another Freddy Vs. Jason quality convulsing cataclysm in the works as we speak, I believe it will be called Freddy Vs. Jason 2: Where Corpses Fall Stupidy Follows.

Summary: A Review Of The 6th Friday The 13th
Review: They said that Jason Vorhees was finished in "The Final Chapter". Well, they lied. Tommy Jarvis (this time played by Thom Matthews) is still haunted by his past so he does what any normal person in his position would do. He digs up Jason's grave so he can know for sure that he is really dead. Unforunately for him, his rotting corpse is revived and returns to his old stomping ground, Camp Crystal Lake (now known as "Camp Forrest Green".)

Tommy tries to warn the authorities but of course, they don't believe him. When counselors are getting hacked up one by one, Tommy joins forces with the Sheriff's daughter to return Jason to a watery grave once and for all (or at least until the next sequel).

With some clever humor inserted, "Jason Lives" does not take itself too seriously nor does it stick to mocking itself too heavily. Jason is still treated as an emotionless killer though by this time around, they seem to be having a little fun with the genre. Jason's butcherings are no match for that of the MPAA who really trim down his "greatest hits". I mean we can't have all sorts of senseless violence in a Friday the 13th movie now can we? The sixth entry is easily one of the better made of the series.

Summary: One of the bast of the series
Review: This was a very good slasher film. Why? Well uh? I'm not quite sure why I liked it because it is like the other ones only but is has better deaths, head twisted off, being bent backwards, heart ripped out, three heads all being chopped off at once. Other than that its just like all the others.

Summary: a load of crap
Review: In all honesty this is the only jason film i have watched, however i think i am justified in saying that this was easily the worst film i have ever watched, and before Jason fans slate me I would like to say that I am aware of the plot of all, oh what is it now 100 films, and I still think this is absolute rubbish . There is absolutely no plot, it is simply just a group of disgusting sequences stuck together with a load of bad acting and a lack of any tension thrown in for good measure. My advice; avoid it at your peril, you will be miserable if you watch this film and will lose all faith in humanity. Completely laughable. Oh yeah, I wanted to rate this with no stars but they wouldn't let me send it if I didn't put at least 1.

Summary: Jason lives; what else is new?
Review: "Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives" is one of the better sequels, it certainly belongs beside Part 2. Shortly after the events in Part 5, Tommy Jarvis and a friend go to dug up Jason's corps and cremate it. But lightning striked the body and gives it life again. So Jason goes on a new murder spree as Tommy tries to convince the local sheriff to help stop Jason. While it's not high art, it really isn't bad either, not even close. There is a subtle bit of humor underlining the movie that kept things light; maybe lighter than they should be in a horror movie. Tom Mcloughlin dose a pretty good job as the tormented man with the Cassandra complex. Jason is now not so much a retarted psychopath anymore as he's more of a zombie this time out. The kills are bloody, but I have a feeling there was a little more that the evil MPAA had cut out. (The MPAA probably did more cutting than Jason did.) So, will you enjoy the movie? If your a slasher fan, then yes. If your an average movie goer, maybe, maybe not.
