Review: Silver bullet is so utterly predictable....But thats what makes it such an amazing film. In the horror market, werewolf movies suck real bad. The only other good werewolf film that is really worth checking out is American Werewolf in London. Silver Bullet really keeps the genre alive with its glory. gary Busey was perfectly casted as Uncle Red. Corey Haim gives his only good performance (and the only one I can stand). Its a good King adaption. Most of King's adaptions are TERRIBLE but this one is perfect......almost!

Review: this movie was really good. but is better for a younger group of peaple. the specials effects are a little old though. i would say this is an exallent movie for a twelve year olds birthday. adults will still think it's good!!

Summary: Another tour de force from the "King"
Review: That is the kind of movie I really enjoy. Maybe I will sound a little odd by saying that, but Silver Bullet is quite a touching horror movie. I say touching because it is not only the story of a werefolf, it is also the story of a charming boy in a wheelchair, who unexpectedly meets the werewolf, and throughout the rest of the film, gets chased by him. But lucky boy (Corey Haim), has the help of his sister and doubting uncle. Once again Stephen King really gets to grab us by the inside with this entetaining ride of chills. I loved everything about this story. The setting in a small town, people knowing each other, people uniting together ( to try to hunt the killer), The music by Jay Underwood ( I think). The darkness of the picture, the cold evenings outside, everything is perfectly set to make this movie one of the best werewolf movies. The story is based on Stephen King's novelette called :"The Cycle Of The Werewolf." Lucky me, I found myself a copy.

Review: I am a huge fan of Stephen King and I own a wide range of the movies that have been converted from his books, but this is by far my favourite film. The atmosphere in the film is perfect, the small town really feels like one of those places where everyone knows everyone else. For a film made in 1985 the special effects are very well done. I think my favourite scene in the movie is when Marty is letting off fireworks on a bridge and he fires the rocket into the were-wolf's eye, that scene really had me on the edge of my seat.Im sure enyone who has seen this film will agree its superb.Everet McGill gives a very beleivable performance as the priest who changes into the beast, also Corey Haim gives a good early performance as does Gary Busey

Review: personally, i am a huge fan of stephen king. i love all of his movies. i really liked this one because there aren't that many good werewolf movies out there for people to see. it's a shame. i highly recommend this movie because even though it is pretty predictable, it is still entertaining.

Summary: One of the few good Stephen King movie adaptations
Review: "Carrie" is arguably the only other King story that adapted well to the silver screen. Too often a screen play from a Stephen King book is either entirely made-up and works nothing like the original story or crams in too many partial details that can't be explained in 90 minutes (if they ever could). "Silver Bullet" is a very simple story that only centers around four main characters (including the werewolf). It's only about a boy trying to get help from his family to kill a werewolf. If a werewolf actually existed, that scenario is as close to reality as any other. No time is wasted on exploring the poor tortured soul of the werewolf that's typical of these stories. There are no scenes of stupid-citizen-who-has-all-the-evidence-but-doesn't-believe-it-and-becomes-victim-number-5. Well, not really. Yes, this probably is the best reason to see Corey Haim act. Megan Follows is very good as the older sister just before she did "Anne of Green Gables". Gary Busey is entirely believable as the uncle who tries to relate to the kids more as a big brother. I think we all know a relative of ours or someone else's that plays that role. The werewolf costume looks like a costume, but then the artificial shark in "Jaws" wasn't very good either. Like "the Fog" and "Tremors", this is a good horror film that hasn't gotten the positive attention is deserves.

Summary: Really Scary!
Review: Every time I watch "Silver Bullet," I am immediately drawn to it. I love this movie, and didn't discover it until a couple of years ago when I happened across it on television. This movie centers around a small town that is inhabited by a horrible werewolf, but no one really knows who is killing the townspeople. It just so happens that a brother and sister figure out the mystery, but then have to find out what person in town is possessed by the werewolf. You will definitely be shocked when the identity of the werewolf is revealed! The casting is great in this film and it keeps you on the edge of your seat! I would highly recommend this film if you want a good scare that goes beyond the normal jumpy scares (which there are plenty of). This movie really messes with your mind as well! Watch this film!

Summary: Entertaining
Review: While this movie has few of the bone chilling moments of "An American Werewolf in London" or "The Howling," it still has moments where it is fascinating and at least a couple of places where the tension rises. Helping along the way are Gary Busey as Marty Coslaw's (Corey Haim) Uncle Red, Megan Follows as Marty's sister Jane, and Everett McGill as creepy Reverend Lowe. There are murders happening in and around town, and Marty is convinced it is the work of a werewolf, with whom he has a close encounter; a really close encounter. At first no one believes Marty, as you would expect, but then Jane is convinced. Finally Uncle Red is sort of convinced. The tension builds until the night that Jane and Marty's parents are away from home and Uncle Red stays with Marty, Jane, and a single silver bullet. While there are other werewolf movies with a higher scare factor, this one remains one of my favorites. I will watch this movie sooner than many others just because it is familiar and the characters are generally likable. It is like a cartoon in many ways, but these same qualities make it an easy to watch movie. There are a few intense moments to spike up the movie, including the encounter between Marty and the werewolf on an isolated walking bridge at night in the country, another encounter between a group of citizens out to hunt the murderer, and encounters between the werewolf in his human form and Jane and Marty. This movie is a must have for Stephen King fans as well as those who have a penchant for people who change into furry creatures.
