Summary: Is this the end?
Review: The only reason to watch this entry is to check out Master Tom Savini's work, (The make-up creator of Jason).
Does Jason Die in this one? Sure he does, but only after another group of stupid people die! As for the plot, nothing new... just good scares, don't matter the acting & plot.

Summary: "The Final Chapter" of Jason Voorhees
Review: After regaining conciousness at a hospital morgue, serial killer Jason Voorhees makes his way back to Camp Crystal Lake.

This movie has got to be one of--or maybe THE--most violent movie in the "Friday the 13th" series. Following the tradition set by its previous sequels, the murder scenes are very graphic. But, unlike its previous--and following--sequels, there are two scenes with double the amount graphic violence. For example, in one scene, we see Crispin Glover's (you might recall him as George McFly from the "Back to the Future" movies) character get stabbed in the hand with a corkscrew--here's the first graphic violence; he is then whacked in the face with a machete--here's the second graphic violence. In the other sequels, we only see one graphic violence per murder scene.

The acting of the film's cast is average. Some of it is rather funny (to me, at least) and some of the dialogue is funny too. Among the cast, look for a very young Corey Fieldman--he made his film debut in this movie.

Lots people like the ending to this movie. I can see why; there was a very intense scene attached to it.

Many people say the film makers lied to the public by calling this movie "The Final Chapter"; if this really was "The Final Chapter", the movie should've stopped in this installment. Actually, there was a reason to this film being named "The Final Chapter". Origninally, Jason was no longer going to be the killer after this movie. Therefore, this movie was "The Final Chapter" of Jason's reign as a serial killer; however, fans demanded that Jason be brought back, and that's what Paramount Pictures did.

Summary: deaths are the best
Review: I'm a big fan of the series and this movie has gotta be the best of the series. The best thing about this miovie and others in the series are the gruesome deaths and to this movie their is no exception, like the part when the kid in the shower gets crused by jason with jasons hand and the guy watching an old porn movie who gets his throat slit.As always the master of make up tom savini does it again with the awesome things he did to the deaths i mean this guy makes an ordinary throat slit into much much more. The acting in this movie is great especially kimberly beck who plays the sister of tommy jarvis does a terrific and believable job as the female heroine and surprise crispin glover as a horny geek. The dvd i also give it 5 stars for a good picture and sound.

Summary: excellent!
Review: Friday the 13th the final chapter is not only good but is excellent. As you probably know camp crystal lakes most unhappy camper jason wakes up from the morgue kill two people who work and heads back to crystal lake.Lucky for him he finds out that teens, and a family that lives in the house next to them have moved there so now jason has something. In this Corey Feldman plays the 12 year old Tommy Jarvis who lives with his mom and sister across from the teens house, and tommy has a desire for making masks, which were beautifully made by talented make up artist Tom Savini who makes the deaths in this movie the best anyway tommy spies on girls and at the end tries to outsmart jason. As i was saying Tom Savini did a great job with the murders and tommys masks, also Corey Feld did a good job as tommy, and so did Crispin Glover as a horny teen. Now while none of the f13 movies are scary this one comes close and is the best of the series, and the plot is the same but who cares their all the same.I urge everybody to buy the awesome dvd which i'm glad they released despite all those bad comments about the picture and sound which isnt true.

Summary: awesome movie
Review: The final chapter is by far the best in the friday the 13th series and one of the best horror movies in history.Makeup master tom savini does it again with his excellent makeup and gore effects that make the killings in this some of the best in history. Also the jason looks better than ever, and what makes this movie a bit scary is that we dont see jason alot in this movie. To those who havent seen it it's about this family named the jarvis's who live in camp crystal lake when teens move in to the house next door, and of course jason gets revived in the morgue and kills the doc and the nurse, afterwards jason heads back to crystal lake and slices and dices everyone.Corey Feldmans performance id the best in his career as tommy jarvis who makes horror masks, and crispin glover as a hunk wannabe is terrific. The dvd for this movie is good with an excellent theatrical trailer which is the best in the series and the picture and sound has improved a thousand times better than the vhs.

Summary: could be worse
Review: ...And so the Friday series rumbled on to this the fourth part of a nine part series (so
far). While it would never win an Oscar it is not a bad film when compared with
others in the series. Saying that though it is still an extremely derivative slasher film.
The director Joseph Zito is competent, but is no John Carpenter or even Sean
Cunnigham.
The film opens with a montage of images from the previous films in the series. They
are Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th Part Two (1981) and Friday the 13th in
3D (19820 respectively. There is then the main body of the movie. In it after Jason
was dispatched by Dana Kimmell via an axe to a forehead he is taken to the city
morgue. However it seems that the axe to the forehead was not enough to kill him off
and he revives at the morgue. Once he escapes from the morgue he returns to Crystal
Lake to slaughter some more teens.
The story line on display in the film is not especially new, but it does not really
matter. The makers of the film were appealing to committed gore hounds by now and
they will enjoy it. Like Part Three the only time in which the film rises itself above
the poverty of imagination displayed is in the killing scenes. The gore was done by
the master of the genre Tom Savini (he had previously worked on the original and had
turned down the chance to work on the second). He was apparently lured by the fact
that it was suppose to bring closure to the series. However it seems that there was

always plans to continue the series and once it grossed over forty two point six
million dollars it was not surprising that it continued. The film gives plenty of
opportunity for Savini to display his talents. The most memorable killing is probably
when Jason takes off a victim's head with a hacksaw. The gore on display is pretty
strong and this is ironic considering that this was the only Friday film apart from the
first not to suffer any cuts.
The acting on display is merely adequate, but there are a number of future stars on
display in this film. Crispin Glover, who shot to fame a year later with Back to the
Future (1985), makes an appearance as Jimmy who had a hilarious dance routine.
The other future star on display is Corey Feldman who later went on to appear in
Stand By Me (1986) and the vampire movie The Lost Boys (1987). Feldman, shaven
headed, also has a part to play in the denouement. This is because he hacks Jason to
pieces while trying to protect his sister Trish (Kimberly Beck). The only other
character which is worth noting is Paul (Alan Hayes). He has come to Crystal Lake to
try and hunt Jason because he killed his sister. The character development is pretty
perfunctory even for a stalk and slash movie. Indeed a hitchhiker (Bonnie Hellman) is
introduced only to be despatched by Jason moments later. The lighting is pretty lousy
as well which means that it is fairly hard to see the action. This was the last of the
really big grossing Friday movie and the series went down hill after. Followed by a
sequel: Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985).

Summary: The Best Jason
Review: I am a big fan of all the jason movies, this one especially. This one is where the jason that got axed in the head decides to come back. Although his revival of life is unexplained it is a great addition to the jason series. It is one of my favorite since jason has now found a group of teens that just one to have a summer of fun out in the woods and he decides to kill them. The kids get there share of fun with great killing scenes and plenty of gore. It also contains some killing humor in a couple scenes which spices up the movie a little bit. The entire movie is in the woods where no help is around and the only way to not be killed is to kill jason which as you probably know is not so easy. In the end jason has his battle from a teen girl and a kid and believe it or not dies. Even though the kid was not killed is his life ruined by jason. Find out by watching #5 and #6 where the kid is now grown.

Summary: best of the series
Review: this movie is definitely the best of the friday the 13th series. The best killings are in this movie and the best acting. As for the dvd its okay but it definitely could of been better.Like for instance they could have more extras besides a theatrical trailer and the only sound available is a mono track, and the picture could look better but i still say buy it.

Summary: Scariest of the series.
Review: Fourth entry in this very long-running slasher series is the scariest. Jason is once again on the loose, and carving up more teens. There's almost no plot, but Joseph Zito's direction is effective, serving up a near non-stop ride of shocks and scares, you can also expect the typical T&A, and Tom Savini's gore is a major standout. Corey Feldman isn't too annoying and Kimberly Beck makes for a good-looking heroine. One of the series' best.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Maybe the best in the series
Review: I really liked this one. Parts 1,2,3, and 4 are the heart of Friday the 13th. Jason is really menacing in part 4, from the time he comes back to life in the morgue to the end of the movie, lots of imaginative killing takes place. Jason rips a guy's neck to shreds with a bone saw, a cute nurse is sliced down the middle of her torso with a scalpel, a guy gets his hand caught in a cork screw and Jason sinks a meat cleaver into his skull (blood gushes everywhere), a girl is thrown out of a window and smashes on top of a car resulting in all the glass being shattered, A guy gets his face crushed by Jason's hand while taking a shower and that's just a sample of the bloody mayhem. Great gore effects add to a decent story line, check it out.
