Summary: .....where'd you get those peepers?
Review: Is this a low budget horror flick with cheesy special effects? Oh yeah. Is this a scary (and thus fun) movie? Well let me put it this way, the 1st time I put in the DVD after the 1st 45 minutes or so my wife fled the room saying it was just tooo creepy! A week later I was able to play it again but my wife insisted that all the lights in the room had to be on. The story puts the hook in you pretty quickly. I will say that if supernatural is not your bag then skip this movie. The ending is rather abrupt but does make sense after you think about it. There was some fine cinematography work done in this movie. The old scratchy record playing the song Jeepers Creepers will stay with you a long time after viewing this movie, even make your skin crawl much like the line "have you checked the children?" stayed with people after seeing the movie When A Stranger Calls. As an added benefit Gina Philps is really a little hottie, even if you don't like the movie if you are a breathing, non-vision impaired guy you will appreciate checking her out, she's a babe in waiting. She could make some more low budget slasher flicks and become the new Jamie Lee Curtis/Slasher Queen. Oh yeah...

Summary: Why?
Review: Easily the worst movie ever. Why was this ever made?

Summary: Move over Jason Voorhees.....
Review: I got this DVD as a gift from my sister. She said "Pop in this movie. Its great. It scared the hell out of me."

I had heard about it on entertainment sites and horror sites and found it was getting some decent reviews.

I finally, after a couple of days, popped in the DVD. An hour and a half later I found my new favorite horror movie!

The movie is loaded with suspense. The movie itself kept me interested at all times. The old JEEPERS CREEPERS song, that played on the radio, was very spine-tingling (spelling??).

The Creeper is a conficing evil being. He is truly, "creepy" and evil. What is he? a demon? gargoyle? a monster? what? I loved how the director slowly reveled the Creeper and the features about him alittle bit at a time, as the movie moved on. If moma's boy Jason Voorhees or Freddy Kruegar (who are laughable and very unbelievable) took one look at the Creeper, they'd [wet] their pants.

The ending shocked me and was very scary. 100 times better than Scream and the other teen horror hyped movies. I would put it up there with HALLOWEEN and THE EXORCIST, definately.

Summary: Jeepers, this movie is the pits
Review: Every once in a while a movie comes along that, despite the fact that it has kept me at the edge of my seat throughout, is totally ruined by the ending. I'm sorry, but I hate endings where the villain wins. This movie was terrifying . . . sure. But the thrill, at least to me, is to see how the heroes will finally overcome the villain. And that doesn't happen in this movie. If it had a better ending, it might have gotten four stars. One is as far as I'd go now, and this is only because I can't give it zero.

Summary: LOVED IT!
Review: I like watching movies with gargoyle/demon-like characters so I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! It had pretty good "special effects" and left my heart beating fast during some real scary moments. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is into 'fantasy' films--I think you will agree the movie is "HORRIFFIC" fun!! =:->=

Summary: Truly disappointed- I mean, c'mon
Review: Now, I decided to buy yhis movie because it seemed decent, and supposedly it was supposed to be a good horror flick. Though somewhat slow in the beginning, the movie had great potential. I will have to emphasize potential. So you have brother and sister driving home from college. Ok, fine. They are chased by this spooky truck. Still ok. They see the truck and a creepy guy outside the church, tossing something in a culver pipe. Hmm, interesting. They obviously go back to explore (wouldn't you?) Ok, after that scene is where my interest in the movie deteriorated. Another twenty minutes, and I was wishing the kids would get killed, because i disliked the characters that much. If you want in a movie: no background, no character development, hoakie bad guy (when you finally saw him up close- not a good idea,) no resolution, and a whole lot of one sided marginal characters, by all means watch this movie.

Summary: A True Monster Movie
Review: Jeepers Creepers is one of the best horror movies that I have seen in quite some time and is a true monster movie in the truest sense of the term. The movie builds suspense from the opening introductions and does not stop until we finally meet the Creeper toward the end.

Starting on an isolated country road, the movie tells the story of Darry and Trish, a brother and sister on the way home from college and their encounters with an unspeakable evil embodied by the character of the Creeper.

What sets this movie apart from other films of the horror genre is that we never see the creature until the almost the end of the film. We gets hints of what the creature might be and what it might want but we do not get a clear picture until the end. This allows for the suspense to build which adds to the horror of the film. Also, when the Creeper finally appears, we are greeted by a true movie monster!

Another great aspect is the fact that the characters are brother and sister which cuts out the romantic entanglements of other horror films. The characters are very believeable and interact very well with one another. The movie is very atmospheric as well taking place for the most part on an isolated country road and in small towns and locales along the way.

While most horror movies rely on slasher motifs and gore, Jeepers Creepers relies on suspense and what you cannot see. It allows the horror to build to a crescendo until the Creeper finally appears. This movie is a must see for any horror movie buff!

Summary: Don't waste your time!
Review: I learned my lesson and will no longer buy DVD's based
on reviews likely put out by the filmaker themselves.
This movie was predictible, short, and left you hanging
at the end. It seemed to end before it started. The "monster"
was a joke. The characters were all poor actors. The stupid
"Jeepers Creepers" song made no sense to me and was only a tie
to the final scene.
Stay away from this movie. If you want frights watch "What lies
beneath" with the lights out.
The producer should save his money and not make the sequel to
this trash.

Summary: Jeepers Creepers Just Can't Creep Enough
Review: I just saw Jeepers Creepers for the first time and what started out as a pretty suspense filled road movie ended up as typical schlock. I liked how this movie started with a brother and sister riding home and wind up being terrorized by a nut in a truck. This movie really had my attention through the first 45 minutes or so.The best scenes involved the discovery in the cellar and the scene with the police car. But once the movie came to the police station, it started irritating me. For one thing, I could not stand the pyschic woman actually announcing when the scare scenes would actually happen. Then there is the issue involving that ridiculous song. How cliche is that now? But what ticked me off was the movie's ending.(Or non-ending as it were). Obviously, it was to set up the inevitable sequel. It got off to a good start, but Jeepers Creepers ultimatly crashes into a wall of cliches.
