Summary: Effectively Disturbing!
Review: After reading Stephen King's novel "Pet Sematary" and being a little disturbed by it, I figured that I would rent the movie to see what a terrible adaptation some money-hungry fellow made. After viewing the film I was quite surprised. The first half of the film starts out nice with a happy family enjoying thier new rural home. But then we see the second half of the film in which all turns to hell. After Gage is killed you can't help but feel bad, no one wants to see a boy that cute skin his knee let alone what happens to him in this film. The performances in the film were mostly well done, especially from Fred Gwynne (Jud Crandall), Denise Crosby (Rachel Creed) & Miko Hughes (Gage Creed). The Pet Sematary novel was meant to be disturbing, and this film certainly is just that. Most likely the reason people hate this film and think it's sick is because they too were disturbed by it. It's definitely not a film to give you a positive outlook on life, but I guess that's what makes it such an effective horror film.

Summary: A Disappointment to Readers of the Book
Review: At the annoucement of a new King book I race to be put on a waiting list or buy it outright. What involves me in his books is the partnership that he establishes with his readers. His words feed the readers imagination and therefore involve him/her in the story. This movie forgot about the partnership and attempted to represent what should have been left to the imagination. The little boy was comical and the actors should have been allowed to act. I will continue to watch and read everything that King throws our way, but this work does not represent what I know he is capable of doing.

Summary: Disgusting and sick...i love it!
Review: This is a movie that I love to death...sick and twisted. Has enough gore to make you turn away from the TV, yet is strangly pulling and makes you not want to turn away. The child who played Gauge..brilliant kid! Way too much fun with this movie.

Summary: A Pretty good horror movie
Review: I thought that this movie was very, very freaky. It is really not a movie for someone who is disgusted by gore. It is also depressing at parts because a little 2-year old boy gets hit by a truck then is raised from the dead and goes on a killing spree. Over all it is pretty good.

Summary: Unbelievably sick
Review: Granted, this is a Stephen King story, so I knew what I was getting into on that level anyway, but what really sickened me with this film was the use of a small child in several disgusting scenes. Whoever the real-life parents of "Gage" are, they should be arrested for child-abuse for letting a toddler portray such a role. I'm quite sure they made a nice sum in exchange for prompting their kid to play the role of a zombie-killer on the rampage. Nice going. By all means, avoid this revolting mess.

Summary: Dark,evil, nightmare movie
Review: I can't see how people disagree with Leonard Maltin about this clunker. It is almost a BOMB. Per Sematary is a mean-spirited movie that is saved from * by being scary, but that can't save how dark it is. For example, were you happy when that woman hung herself? Who wants to think about suicide? Though horror movies are geared to be somewhat dark to be scary, the mean-spiritedness(and sometimes cruelty) is to excessive. Followed by a really dull sequel.

Summary: No Bombs Allowed
Review: Disgusting and sick film about a happy family who move to a new town next to a road where something gets run over on a daily basis. When the family members start getting killed on the road, Daddy takes it upon himself to revive them by burying them in an ancient indian cemetary now dedicated to pets. Predictably, the family goes through separations, people come back from the dead, and they all end up on the slab. Sweet, isn't it? No suspense, no redeeming social value, no entertainment. This film has no worth what so ever and deserves a place in history with all the other sadistic flops.

Summary: The Scariest Movie I Ever Seen!
Review: I love horror movies and I have seen alot of them. Pet Semetery is by far the scariest of them all! I remember the first time I saw it. When Victor Pascow lays dead with his brains dripping out of his head, it was creepy. Then we he opened his eyes and started to talk to Louis, it scared me to death. His eyes were so creepy looking that I felt like he was staring up at me. It gave me the chills. And that was just the beginning of the horror I felt! I was amazed at the climax how they were able to take this little boy, practically a baby, and make him the scariest killer I ever witnessed on screen. I didn't know kids at that age were capable of such acting! This whole movie was just creepy. From the moment with Victor to Judd's chilling stories to the powerful climax, this movie is non-stop bone-chilling fear. This movie creeped me out so much that even now, as I watch it, even before anything bad happens, watching it gives me the chills. If this isn't enough to convince you to see this movie, I don't know what is!

Summary: makes THE EXORCIST look like care bears!
Review: This is one hell of a scary film from master of macabre Stephen King. I never expected to be scared, in fact I never scare easy especially at movies, but this is powerful stuff!

A REAL horror fan must have this!

Summary: creepy, scary, horrifying... the list goes on and on
Review: one of the only movies that i had trouble sleeping after watching. for anyone who finds getting scared by a movie thrilling (as i do) you must see this. and the scariness of it doesn't fade with time. i was watching this with two of my cousins one night, it was probably my tenth time watching the movie and their first. now my cousins don't scare easily, but this movie freaked them out so much that they could not watch it til the end, they had to leave the room until i had finished watching it. i dare anyone to watch this in the dead of the night, with every light in the house off and then tell me you weren't scared even for a second! it's impossible, so don't even try and if you say you have done it, you're lying!
