Review: Awsome movie! One of the best i've seen in a while. The only part I didn't really enjoy was the ending. It did suprise me, but I just think they could have come up with something better. Anyway I still really liked it and I recommend it to any one who likes GOOD movies!

Review: This was easily one of the best movies I have seen thus far...I loved the twist they hit ya with at the end of the movie and I had to watch it a second time. The star of this movie was Cole played by little Mr. Osment, I hope to seen him again and again. Look at my face, this was a great movie!

Summary: Very Unoriginal
Review: This movie was nothing more than a cut and paste version of Poltergeist, Ghost and Jacob's Ladder. Some of the scenes were so familiar that you can't help but wonder how someone could have the audacity to keep them in after the final edit. The first half hour is incredibly slow, and the special effects were anything but, looking more like a sophomore production of Sleepy Hollow than a huge budgeted Hollywood effort. I realize that they were trying for subtlety instead of blood, but they seemed to convey more apathy than actual sublime proficiency. The ending was surprising, but after watching it twice I found far too many inconsistencies to make it plausible (unless you buy the child's excuse that people only see what they want to.)The acting was very strong, though, and together with the superb cinematography (Philadelphia never looked better) they are perhaps the only two reasons to watch. Compare this movie with Jacob's Ladder, which in my opinion was a much more intricate and profound allegory (plus truly nightmarish spectres), and decide for yourself. This does deserve to be watched, intently, but there are much better selections of this theme to be found.

Summary: Should have won Best Picture of the Year!
Review: After seeing this movie I left the theater stunned! It was that good! Certain scenes still give me goose pimples! But unlike most horror films, this one had a REASON as to why this little kid was being "haunted" that made it all the more intriguing. Just an excellent, excellent video!

Summary: Failed my expectations...
Review: I have also been anxious to see this lot-spoken-about movie, but, unfortunately, I found it rather mediocre and for me it started to get interesting only after some 40 minutes from the start. Although I do pay homag to Mr. Osments play (the boy will go far, I hope) and Mr. Willis can score this role to his credit, too. The ending was superb, I must acknowledge: the whole contents of the movie is revealed only after you leave the cinema or switch off your DVD-player... But don't pay 111$ for the tape, you can wait and and don't die, if you don't see it...

Review: OK, I'm not sure what I liked better between this and Stir of Echoes... both were great... I think this was more intelligent and I could probably watch this over and over again, pointing out elements I never noticed before, whereas Stir of Echoes gets old the second and third time watching it. Both are great and are highly recommended!

Summary: Think for a moment...
Review: This film has many, many levels one could discuss. I will choose this to talk about. When I saw the preview of the film on TV, the "I see dead people" with Cole in bed, it was enough for me to know what was going on and when I actually saw the film--first off, the beginning tells you exactly what happened to the good doctor--I kept seeing the hints throughout the film that let me know for sure that the film's startling revelation was so...here's the thought. To me the story was, indeed, a wonderfully told one, but didn't you see what was happening long, long, long before the denoument, weren't the clues crystal clear way before the ending or were YOU "seeing what you want to see"?...

Summary: Cinematographic and, at times, surprising
Review: Cinematographer Tak Fujimoto once again delivers stunning visuals throughout this film (the red doorknob, the lightbulb, etc.). Bruce Willis, playing a child psychologist (Malcolm), manages to keep a serious tone throughout the movie and avoid slipping into his tough-guy routine. Cole, the child with the sixth sense, plays his role well. This movie achieved two things that few movies are able to achieve: it made me jump (slightly, and only once), and it had a twist at the end that surprised me (although the restaurant scene doesn't mesh with the twist the film offers). I give the film five stars because it kept my interest for the duration. I do have a few small problems with the movie (Cole is entirely too intellectual because his contact with the dead wouldn't give him any book-knowledge... especially because he fears the dead, and some of the plot seems entirely too rushed... but that is the case with 99.876% of big-budget Hollywood releases), but I plan on watching it a few more times and I highly recommend its purchase due to the stunning visuals, the good acting, and the plot twist.
