Rating: Summary: I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOVIE FOREVER! Review: It has been too long of a wait for this classic John Carpenter film to be released on video. However, it would have been better if Anchor Bay Entertainment had been able to release it as they would have released a widescreen version and treated the film with much more respect. With virtually the entire movie taking place at night and the spooky fog slowly moving in throughout, I always found this movie to be the perfect late-night entertainment with the door open and the wind blowing outside. Some may say that the film moves too slowly. However, I say that this characteristic plus the spooky visuals lend to a creepy ambience rarely felt in film. If you appreciate a horror movie with such ambience, you will definitely get your fill with "The Fog"!
Rating: Summary: In a class of it's own Review: This film MUST be re-released on VHS and DVD. Although I'd watch anything with Adrienne Barbeau in it, that's beside the point here. The Fog is an unusual horror flick, and is considered a cult film by it's followers. WE WANT THE FOG!! RE-RELEASE NOW!!
Rating: Summary: A great little horror flick. Review: It's a shame that this movie is unavailable, as it's much scarier than some of John Carpenter's other, more-hyped movies (Halloween, Mouth of Madness, etc). The weird thing is, Amazon also claims that there was a widescreen version available, which there never was. Are they planning on re-releasing it? What's going on?
Rating: Summary: We've lost a genuinely terrifying movie! Review: Carpenter's "The Fog" seamlessly blends terror into a normal foggy night in New England. The secret is staggering, the stage is electrifying, the cast very believable. The movie made such an impact on me that I look over my shoulder every foggy night.
Rating: Summary: A terrifyingly good movie for any dark night! Review: I first saw The Fog on television quite by accident. But I have been a fan of it ever since. This is the story of an ominous ocean fog that takes its wrath out on a small seafaring New England town. But it is not the fog in itself that is terrifying, but what comes out of it. John Carpenter directed this classic of the horror genre, and it only reaffirms his greatness and talent to make his fans shudder with the chills. This film is not the campy blood and guts and boring dialogue film like most of them out there. This is a unique horror movie that should not have its admirers begging for its release. Hollywood should rerelease this film on the big screen and on video. They would make one hell of a profit!
Rating: Summary: The Fog is one of the best horror film's ever! Review: I have been looking for this movie for along time! I agree with everybody! They should bring it back !We can only hope someone hears us!
Rating: Summary: As good a horror film as you'll ever see. Review: This one is guarenteed to scare you. From the opening to the end it is a classic tale of suspence and the unexpected. The ending will leave you breatheless. A must see, and must have for any movie collection.
Rating: Summary: help me! I have got to this movie again! Review: I loved this movie! I have been trying to find it for 2 years and to no avail, no luck! Please re-release this movie because it is a classic and I know once you of seen it you will know why I am going nuts trying to find it. I wish they would at least put it on t.v. so I can see it again. I have checked everywhere no-body has it. You can't even rent it anymore. So please, bring it back. It is a movie that will go down in HISTORY!THANX, FOR YOUR TIME, SHERRY LET'S UNITE UNTIL THEY DO BRING BACK THAT GREAT MOVIE, THE FOG! JOHN CARPENTER, THE GOD OF ALL HORRORS!
Rating: Summary: What a good horror movie should be! Review: My all time favorite. I watch it every Halloween. It still gives me goosebumps, especially when they knock on the door of the house where Jamie Lee spends her first night in town. Hal Holbrook is superb as the priest who knows too much. Please release it again, so that I don't have to watch this sorry tape I made from TV any more.
Rating: Summary: The Fog is a horror movie classic Review: John Carpenter's The Fog is probably one of the most original horror movies I have ever seen. The element of surprise is truly one of Carpenter's gifts in his movies. The Fog is one of those movies you tend to think about after viewing it. It is truly a classic
