Summary: Great Marketing - Rubbish Film !
Review: I sat through this with an open mind, hoping that I would be scared/entertained/disturbed. I have to hand it to the people at Artisan films - they sure can create a buzz ! However they have fooled us all. This has to be the single most disappointing film experience of my life! Utter unrelenting bilge! I fell asleep during the film, had to rewind my DVD, and try again. I watched it alone, in a dark room, after midnight, and have been more scared reading my bank statements. I gave it every chance, and it was woeful! Why didn't these three pillocks carry a mobile phone and that way we would all have been spared the waste of ninety minutes of our lives? The only way this could scare anyone would be to watch the documentary extra on the DVD-'The curse of the Blair Witch' and then try to convince themselves it was true, remove a sizeable portion of their brain, suspend thought, and then you might just be mildly nervous, and not comatose as I was. Let me repeat- do not believe the hype, do not waste your time or money, this film is the best example of style and hype over content you are ever likely to see. GARBAGE is not a strong enough word.

Summary: I Scare Easily and BWP Put Me to Sleep!
Review: I have just recently started hiking and I thought that watching this movie would put me off from going outdoors until next spring. If this movie is scary, then I must have missed it. After the first 15 minutes, I felt like I was waiting for something that never happened. I was extremely disappointed and I would not recommend this movie to anyone. I can see where some people might see BWP as a clever exercise in shooting a movie on a very low budget. However, I can honestly say that I did not find this movie scary. Believe me, when it comes to movies I scare easily.

Summary: Most overrated movie ever!
Review: I wounder what is all the fuzz about this movie. It's totally overrated and not scary at all, but boring to be frank.

Summary: Worst home video I've ever seen
Review: I could have made this movie in my back yard with the fifteen-year-old video camera in my closet. Never before have I seen such a horribly boring movie that doesn't even begin to live up to a tenth of the hype. I would have given it zero stars if I could. I feel cheated out of two hours of my life that I'll never get back again. Don't even bother watching this movie when it gets to cable. There was absolutely nothing scary about this movie, it has no deep meaning, and it most certainly was not supposed to "make you think." I'm sorry if I've gotten under your skin if you're a fan of the movie, but I've never felt so negatively about a film before. Don't waste your time and money.

Summary: Have you ever wanted to be REALLY scared?
Review: This movie IS the scariest movie ever made, period. I'm not sure why other folks aren't happy with it on here, but I have a theory -- they don't have an imagination. Part of what makes this movie as scary as it is your imagination and the question that goes through your mind, "what would it be like if I was in the three kids' shoes"? Folks, you need to stop saying "And they are still filming after all this" or "How do they have so much film and batteries to film this?" and start getting absorbed into the movie. Sometimes life can't be perfectlly logical. You just have to have a wild imagination to take you to your inner most primal fear. I saw this movie three times, and I still get very scared. Just remember to turn out the lights and watch it at dark -- or maybe you don't.

Summary: excellent idea for a movie very different is all I can say
Review: I seen the blair witch project on video, and it was just like i imagined it would be, the scenes were just like anyone in the woods taping there time there, with a horror twist to it. Yes I was scared only because it seemed so real . I applaude the writer who thought of this idea, even though the movie was short and you knew the ending it is still a great idea for a movie.

Summary: NEXT, PLEASE!
Review: "Three wanna-be student filmmakers disappeared during filming. Three years later, their footage was found. Reports of audience disappointment followed." Don't Believe the hype! This movie is LAME. It's success is typical of trendy teenagers who think they're "Sophisticated" by seeing an "independant" film like this. What is all the hype about? It's not scary, in fact, its incredibly BORING. Nothing worthwhile happens for almost the entire film (60+ minutes), and the only "creepy" things that do happen are twigs snapping in the dark, and piles of rocks that look weird. NO KIDDING! This is "Scary as hell?" And when the creepiness finally rolls around (took its damn time), its nothing more than what "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" accomplished, 100's of times better, 25 long years ago! Actually, I was quite glad to see them meet their fate; they were stupid enough to go in the woods themselves, purposely lose the map, and get lost and do nothing but bickering! Thank god they wouldn't live long enough to reproduce and treat the world to more stupid people! In fact, if it wasn't for the non-stop swearing, this film could have been rated PG! I know that's not the point (I'll be the first to claim that gore doesn't make a great horror flick), but it seems that the "filmmakers" simply threw in some swearing at the last minute to warrant an "R" rating, simply so the braindead moviegoing masses would take it seriously. It's a shame that the hype is what made this BOMB so popular; if stupid horror fans hadn't persuaded so many people to see it. Thankfully, I rented it. You shouldn't. Bypass this and go straight to the real classics. I'll even give you a starting list: 1. Night of the Living Dead (1968) 2. Dawn of the Dead 3. Suspiria 4. Hellraiser 5. Terror at the Opera 6. Dead Alive 7. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 8. The Exorcist 9. Re-animator 10. Psycho

Summary: my heart was outside of my mouth, my legs was afraid to walk
Review: A invitation to go camping in the first forest you find, alone! if you have the smalest sense of a clear mind you understand that even a harmless tree could scare you to death. Alfred Hitchcok did it, Michael Williams just fresht it up.

Summary: You may wish this was a true story...
Review: Alright. It's a clever film. It uses video tricks, real-life dialogue and a pretty good story-line to bring you along. The woods in mid-autumn never seemed quite so menacing. But I felt that, somehow, the three characters actually deserved their fate, with all their whining and moaning. How unprepared they were, prancing off into the wild without a proper map, and adequate supplies! But, I forgot, it's only a movie. Speaking of which, if you're being preyed upon by some unseen evil entity, why would you keep taping? I'd personally drop the equipment and run like hell 'till I found civilization. Apart from this hole in the premise, "Blair Witch" does a good job of scaring you psychologically. At least there'll be no sequel to spoil it.
