Review: When I first heard about the movie, I thought "this movie, I've have just got to see!" I did, and I was not disappointed at all. It seemed so real, you could almost imagine being there. I'm going to pre-order the movie as soon as I get done with this review. Thanks guys for such an awesome movie!!

Summary: Portrays "fear" in it's truest sense.
Review: Blair Witch is soon to become a classic. It's skin-crawling, heart-pounding atmosphere makes it one of the best horror films I've seen. When simply describing it, words don't do this movie justice, for it is the unspoken fear of the characters on screen that makes the film come alive. The fact that this film was shot using only three actors, minimal script, and a "documentary-looking" tape makes it all the more refreshing. Besides the fact that there was no axe murderer or bloody, on-screen killings, it was extremely believable. The actors, having very little to go by, used everyday language, and when they were scared beyond control, they said things and acted the same way anyone would. The movie also portrayed mental games that seemed to intoxicate the characters. They started out as relatively normal people in the woods, and turned into babbling freaked out idiots. Try sleeping in the cold forest for several nights with very limited food, no clean clothes, a missing friend and running from evil that may be after you, not knowing if you're going insane... They showed the real-life situations of the real human persona. Along with the fear, they included comedy which was very amusing, satirical, and realistic. They portrayed fear in it's truest sense. Not knowing what is out there, but knowing something is, makes even the toughest of hearts find butterflies in their stomachs. I highly recommend seeing this film. It almost feels as though you're watching 3-D because you feel the same fear as they do. It's nice to finally have a film that you can relate to, scary or not, it was a low-budget film with three actors and no special effects or elaborate script. In order for a movie like that to make it this big, it has to be good. Instead of giving you the imagination on the screen you have to use your own. This film leaves alot unanswered which only increases the tension. Pay close attention to every detail in the movie because it all fits together, even though your questions will not be answered for you. That's your job... The scariest, most terrifying, (but also bewildering) scene of the whole movie, in my opinion, was at the very end, where you see Mike against the wall....

Summary: A psychological thrill-ride
Review: Have you ever wondered what goes "bump" in the night? Well, in this wonderfully inventive film you will experience bumps, chills, and thrills. In a day when violence and plot twists are the norm in horror flicks (Scream?) it is refreshing to have to use your imagination.In The Blair Witch Project, the audience becomes attached easily to the characters. The film is shot as a documentary of three college students doing a school project on the legend of the Blair Witch. And with this style of shooting, it is as if you are with these 3 students. After a few initial interviews with local townspeople the 3 set out into the local woods in search of more video footage. Soon they are lost and forced to spend a few nights alone in the cold, wet and eery wilderness. Being hungry, tired and lost the 3 begin to fight amongst themselves. Their own weaknesses however are put to a more rugged test as they soon find out they are not alone in the woods. For a good scare, watch this alone at night and make sure the lights are turned off. By the way, you want want to go camping again.

Review: I have seen so many movies claiming to be scary, but this one wasn't lying. I've seen it twice so far and I was even scared the second time. If you haven't seen this movie, go now! Close out of your computer, call a friend, grab your keys and see what I'm talking about!

Review: this movie was REALLY scary. I don't even like horror movies and it totally creeped me out. If you are an outdoor person, don't even think to go see this movie. It creeps under your skin and it will stay there for days!

Review: Who said that horror films have to be gory or graphic? NOBODY. This film isn't either. The Blair Witch Project has exceptional acting, a great script and events that will shock you. Anybody with a vivid imagination will sleep with the light on.

Review: This is the best movie I have ever seen. Even though everyone dies at the end, I still get a sense that those guys are still running around the woods looking for the Blair Witch. The camera is used masterfully with not even a hint of bluriness . Go see this movie, I would give it my highest recommendations. Two thumbs up!!

Summary: Can't wait for this DVD!
Review: It will be the perfect movie for any Halloween party! This is a smart and creepy (not exactly scary, but it plays with the mind a lot...that's what makes it "creepy"). A movie that can scare my 50-year-old dad? That's good entertainment. Yeah sure, it was really boring in the middle, "F*ck you!" "No, f*ck you!," but the last scene and Heather's confessional are perfect. The confession scene is probably one of the most memorable scenes in the movie, the best portrayal of a psychological breakdown (someone needs to get this girl an award!). With the shaky, grainy camera footage on your own TV, it makes it look like you are watching a real home video! I can't wait...recommend this movie to all horror fans. The DVD should be great, with "The Curse of the Blair Witch", commentaries, remastered 5.1 Dolby surround, and sharp picture. Make plans this Halloween...go buy this movie!

Summary: Blair Witch Doesn't Deliver
Review: The Blair Witch Project was a film that everyone "had" to see this summer. The trailers drew people in, the concept was unique, and the hype was contagious. Now, only two months later the movie has come out to buy on video and DVD. Unfortunately, the only thing scary about this film is that I almost paid $7 to see it in the theater. What sickened me more was that this film has racked in so much money. Here's the concept. Three college students and ambiguous film makers, Heather Donahue, Micheal Williams, and Josh Leonard, decide to make a documentary on the legendary Blair Witch. Armed with two cameras, some other technical equipment, and supplies to last a few days, they head out into the woods to film. Somehow, they get lost, and that's when the terror begins. Not bad at all, right? Well, maybe, had the execution of this concept been put into effect. Instead, what we see is a bunch of teens who get lost and who have no idea how to survive in the forest in the first place. They curse for ten minutes, yell at each other, curse for another ten minutes, and then run around in circles cursing. Then they run away from something "evil" and cry. Doesn't sound incredibly scary, does it? Occasionally, some elements are thrown in to remind the viewer that this is indeed a horror movie. The teens hear eerie sounds at three in the morning, find a bunch of rocks (you will have to see the movie to understand this) outside their tent, and have slime on their gear. One member of the party is missing one morning and the other two hear him yelling at night. Although these are all scary things, they don't add to the overall pictures of what this movie is supposed to be about. I'll give the film credit, the last 20 minutes generate good chills, and the final scene will leave you visibly shaken. However, this scare is only good if you managed to stay awake for the other 80 or so minutes. Overall, I can't say it's terrible but it's not something I'm going to watch again and again.
