Review: In an attempt to be objective about this movie, I suddenly realized that a number of people who have given it a bad review have not been. THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT cannot be seen and reviewed by unobjective people. Those that see it have to forget all the Freddy Krugers', Michael Myers', Jason's and even SCREAM and it's sequel. It is not meant to repulse, it is meant to make you think. It draws you in rather than makes you look away. And in that, as well as other qualities, lies it's originality and brilliance.Quite frankly, I am sick of reading reviews which say the film lacks pacing. There are peaks and valleys to any good film. You can't expect any movie to have a lot of merit and contain one shock after another. BLAIR WITCH... is meant to linger in your mind and not be forgotten once you leave the theatre or turn off your VCR. A lack of understanding of this simply indicates a viewer who just doesn't get it. And I hope I don't read any more reviews which suggest a good dose of Dramamine before seeing the film. The whole point of the shaky camera is to provide a height of realism not seen in many films of it's genre. After all, if you were holding a camera and running from or to something, not knowing what you were going to see I don't think the pictures you took would be all that steady either.THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT must be seen for what it is, not what preceded it. It is quite simply, the most original horror film in decades, perhaps ever. And it must be viewed as such. The three stars turn in the type of performances that could only be accomplished in the type of scenario and set-up the film employs. That's what makes the filmmakers so clever. By telling the actors only brief sketches of what was going to happen, they opened up a whole pandora's box of fears and reactions. No better is this exemplified than in the scene in the tent done completely in extreme close-up, with Heather giving a truly inspired and improvised monologue about her shortcomings. It's a moment that has Oscar nomination written all over it.The choice to not have a music score is an obvious one, but when forced to confront moments like the aformentioned one with merely the sound of the actresses voice and the surrounding REAL sounds of the outdoors, the UNDERSTANDING viewer realizes the impact of this masterful piece of story weaving. There are moments of humor such as in life. Our three doomed heroes do seem to argue a lot. But another thing that makes this film so intriging is that the caring viewer is swept up into the situation and is persuaded to try and figure out what they would do if THEY were in the same shoes.No, you must see THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT with a keen mind and eye and come to the stark realization that there has never been a film quite like this. You really will appreciate it a lot more

Review: THIS IS A MOVIE THAT DEFINITLY STICKS WITH YOU. THE CAMERA ANGLES ARE GREAT, THE LACK OF THAT "SOMETHINGS GOING TO HAPPEN" MUSIC AND NOT CONFRONTING THEIR AGRESSOR MAKES THIS A TRUE HITCHCOCK-TYPE CLASSIC.

Review: From all the films we watch, we are too zoned into the Hollywood Style of film making. When you watched the movie The Blair Witch, you came to the theaters with an expectation "I'm going to see the Witch", "I'm going to see gore and blood". This movie was shot out of the Hollywood style to make it different. Not actually seeing the witch leaves your imagination to come up with something scarier then what CGI graphics or mask can come up with.

Review: This movie was so awesome! I lovd it...besides the knot in my stomach I got from watching it...it just seemed so real and as if I was in it. Just make sure to pay attention to the entire movie, especially the beginning. See it to believe it!

Summary: THE CREEPIEST FILM I'VE EVER SEEN!
Review: I just went and saw The Blair Witch Project last night. I was scared out of my mind. People always tell me to think about it as just being a scary movie but if you really think about it, this is a true story. I almost keeled over when they were in the tent and it started to shake and the part where it was Josh's body parts wrapped up in his clothes. That was so real. Great movie on my part.

Review: To tell you the truth, this movie was pretty bad. Nothing made you stay back and think for a while. It was a relief to get out of the theater. I feel stupid and cheated on wasting an hour and a half for some movie that just nauseates you.

Review: Ok im not going to fault this film because it scared me, but the thing is it had so much publiscity around it which made my expectations rise above the normal film limit, but although this is true, it must be taken into consideration about this fil not being a high budget film, its made to scare people not make them go WOW did you see that $2 000 000 prop go bang, the camera movement added to the exitment and terror, but it did give one guy in the cinema motion sickness and he nearly puked up on my new NIKE AIR MAX PLUS'S which i had just bought that day, but overall if you wanna be scared and dont expect to much then go for this film! I only gave it **** because i never rate films 100%, but id rate this at about 87.3476% lol, see yas watch this film it rocks, and beware of the blair witch

Summary: VERY ORIGINAL
Review: It was hyped as being 'scarier than the exorcist'. NOT!!! That does not mean that this was not a good movie. In fact, I really thought it was good and very realistic. Some idiot who reviewed the movie stated that the acting was horrible. The acting was brilliant and realistic, loved the story and the dazed and confused cam. Excellent movie, maybe not as scary as 'the exorcist' or 'evil dead', but its better than all the crap they've been putting out there like 'scream'.

Review: When I first saw it, I left utterly confused. Then a co-worker who'd seen it 3 times, clued me in on the part that didn't make sense. Suddenly, the whole thing fell into play and I was hooked. I've since logged on to the Blair Witch website, read all the "background" and am completely enthralled!!! Can't wait to see it again! Highly recommend.
