Summary: Just as good, if not better, than the first.
Review: This movie starts off with an amazing and hair raising highway crash scene. After it grabs you, it does not let go. The chills and thrills are more abundant here than in the first (not to discount the first in any way). It just keeps pumping and pumping up until the confusing ending. I am not quite sure about the ending, but the rest of the movie more than makes up for it. Although this one had me jumping and screaming a whole lot more than the first, nothing will compare to the bus scene in the first movie. That scene is a classic and hard to top.
Any fan of the horror/thriller genre should get quite a kick out of this offering. And to those who don't - LIGHTEN UP!!

Summary: Death Never Takes "NO" for an answer!!!!
Review: So! This is the sequel or a cheap mistake? No one in my line of friends know, but I do. This is the better sequel to most movies but it could have been changed a little more. So I think that this movie taught me that you can't cheat death at most time as did the first movie, but Clear Rivers ( Ali Larter) proved that at most cases you can. I loved the gore and explosion scenes but the rest was just plain for me. I have two choices to make one buy it and watch it again or two rent it and try to make sense of it. So in my opinion it is choice two. I have no idea of what the plot to the story is.

Summary: Good For A Sequel But No Way Original
Review: Final Destination was an unexpected hit at the movies. It's clever use of how death can't be cheated and how death will come after you was very impressive and it also starred a popular teen cast! Of course a sequel followed and this is the storyline. A young girl called Kimberley is taking a vacation to Daytona Beach with her three friends. But just before turning onto the highway she predicts that a HUGE pile-up will happen due to an unsafe timber truck. In the prediction her, her friends and many other drivers die in the crash but then suddenly Kim finds herself back at the turn point to the highway. After making sure none of the other drivers go onto the road a policeman tries to reason with her when suddenly the crash she'd predicted suddenly happens before their eyes with a different set of cars. Sadly a speeding truck ploughs into Kim's car killing all of her friends and it makes her realize that what happened to the survivors of Flight 180 is now happening to her and the drivers who were suppose to get on the road. The film is definitely worth a watch even if you haven't seen the first film because it's funny, gory and something that gets your blood pumping. The films stars AJ Cook, Michael Landes, TJ Carson and Ali Larter (Who starred in the first film). Sadly Devon Sawa and Kerr Smith do not reprise their roles in this sequel because apparently they died in between the space of the end of the first film and the beginning of the second. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because it's basically just a re-make of the first with a different group of characters and a fresher storyline. Also the acting is a little cheesy sometimes.

Summary: Cheating Death Again
Review: Another movie about: you can't cheat death. And if you do; than the death will come back at you at any given moment to finsh you off. A lot different from the first Final Destination and much better than the first.

Another vision about how people are going to die, but this this time the vision is a lot more thrilling and gruesome than the first, such as: people on fire, logs through the head, or getting chopped in half at the torso.

Then that movie takes off into a non-stop thriller and more gruesome accidents than the first and as soon as the we get introduced to Clear Rivers again, the movie becomes more and more interesting as the characters figure off that death is working backwards.

Much, much better than the first; not as scary and thrilling than the first, but a lot more better than what you would expect from a sequel. This sequel did what a sequel is suppose to do: carry on the storyline and be better than the first film.

In other farther words: this movie will keep you on the edge-of-seat and filled with action, thrills, and blood and guts. This is movie to see if you want to see one of the few sequels that's better than the first. This movie is very good and suspenseful. For you slasher lovers, this is movie to see; for you thrill seekers; and for you people who like to watch really good movies, this is the perfect film for you.

Summary: Final Destination 2 is better than the first
Review: This movie is more interesting and better than the first movie, because have better special effects, the movie has a very good actors, maybe can win some awards (I don`t think so, but if Chiacgo wons 8 Oscar, why Final Destination 2 can`t win one?

Summary: Disappointing sequel; fans of 1st won't lose all interest
Review: This, movie, I've heard, was an unplanned sequel. Rather than continuing a story planned from the start, it was an afterthought after the first FINAL DESTINATION was an unexpectedly surprise success. That means an uphill battle to make a good movie, since there was no pre-existing inspiration for an ongoing story, just the need to invent something to fill the unexpected call for a sequel. Some movie series are well sustained by sequels providing what is largely "more of the same", but this time something profoundly new needed to happen. The premise of the first movie, and also of this, is that death has a plan, that death is a sentient being that stalks its victims, and it is difficult or imopssible for one to escape the plan. If death had an accident with your name on it, but you somehow escaped THAT accident, you've probably won only a brief reprieve. Death will be back, and SOON, to stalk you with even a greater vengeance. Your days are still VERY numbered, except in the unlikely event that someone discovers the very elusive holy grail of thwarting death's formidable plan. Consequently, the first film had a low survival rate for major characters, with a final apparent reprieve for only a minority. The first movie was done well enough to be a success even with that grim premise. And it is a very grim and heavy premise, even for a horror thriller. What this second movie needed was at least some progress toward a clearer hint as to what a more definitive ransom from the grim reaper's grisly plan might be. But don't expect too much. This movie suffers from being too much of the same. It starts off revealing that the seemingly lucky few survivors of the other movie weren't all so lucky after all. Then it goes on to drop in a promise of a more hopeful way out this time around. That new hint calls for something about "new life", which can, we're told, send death's machinations back to square one. So the array of characters in this movie follow a lead on a hopeful trail to that resolution. But don't expect too much to really be resolved.
Movie series with a high death rate of characters risk killing off too many of their more colorful ones and having not enough of the better cast left to be all that memorable. And thus it is with this series so far. One would hardly have suspected that Sean William Scott would be a player to lend an air of intelligence to a movie. But in a relative sense, at least, such he was in the first FINAL DESTINATION. By letting his character be among the casualities on that original, this sequel was deprived of one of the more colorful possible characters, and the new cast of this does little to take up the slack. And don't expect the sequel to be any less wreckless about killing off the more colorful characters remaining.
Still, I hope there will be a third entry in the series. To leave the tale in its present lurch would be a further disappointment. Hopefully any such third entry will have the wisdom to bring the saga to a markedly more definitive progress in the quest for the secret of foiling death's monstrous appetite.

Summary: Not even half as good as the fist one
Review: Where Final Destination 1 was amazingly surprising and original I feel this second part was way over the top and nowhere near as original as the first one. Sure, some turns of events in this second part were very well thought of but part 1 is far more thrilling than this one. The whole feel of part 1 is more intense than this 'let's do the dame trick again'part 2. But... whatmakes buying the DVD REALLY worth your money is NOT the movie itself but the many, many, many special features! Seeing how all the "death scenes" were actually made are woth alone having this DVD for.

Summary: The Ultimate Destination - Thrilling, Gory, and Fun
Review: Final Destination 2 (2003) is one fun movie. I had been reading things about this movie and it sounded awesome. Also, I was a huge fan of the original, "Final Destination" (1998). The movie had so many plot twists and great death sequences. When I heard about the second one, I thought at first. Wait, I hope this isn't a new batch of people getting offed without knowing what's happening. I didn't want the same movie over. I got a different one. Sure, they do bring back Clear Rivers (Ali Larter). You needed her though. She explains everything. There is also some plot twists, which I will not spoil. All in all this movie is great. Here's the plot.

Kimberly (A.J. Cook) is traveling down the road with three of her buddies. She suddenly has a premonition of a huge car pileup (this had to be one of the most realistic and goriest scenes I have ever viewed). Kimberly suddenly wakes up and finds out that it was just a dream. Then she notices things that happened in her dream (the radio plays the same song, she sees a familiar truck go by). She stops her car and prevents a few other cars from going by. A cop (Michael Landes, who was also involved in the accident of her premonition) comes out to see what the problem is. Kimberly comes out of the car and talks about her premonition. The dream comes true and already her buddies in the car get rammed by an uncoming truck. Death's list has already begun, and so has the fun!

More people begin to be offed in freak accidents (fire escapes, glass tiles). Kimberly then goes to the mental institution to find Clear Rivers, the lone survivor of the deaths in the original. Alex, in the original, was supposedly killed off folks. Sorry! Anyway, Clear, Kimberly, and all the remaining others band together. They begin to realize they have certain links to deaths in the original. Again, more killings ensue.

My Review:

Plot - I loved the plot. It was new, fresh, and cool. There were plot twists and turns the whole way.

Plot - 95

Acting - I liked the acting in this movie. It was pretty good. I especially liked Rory. He was a great character in the story and provided some comedic moments. I didn't really enjoy Ali Larter's performance. She was amazing in the original, but in this one I'm happy when she gets burnt to pieces (Ooops, didn't say that!)

Acting - 89

Thrilling - This movie was very thrilling. It had me on the edge of my seat. That huge car pile-up in the beginning sent shivers down my spine. I was scared driving home. Anyway, it was very thrilling and never gave up.

Thrilling - 97

Gory and Killings - Ok, in the first movie. How many people got offed? 4, maybe 5. Ok, well, double that and that is near the body count of the sequel. The killings in this movie are very well done. I don't know how these people think up these things. Beware though! If you do not like gory movies, this isn't for you. There is a lot of blood and guts in this one folks. Gorehounds, go for it!

Killings - 99/BEST KILLING = power lines sliced a guy into thirds
Gore - 92

Ending - I loved the ending to this movie. It shows that there has to be "Final Destination 3".

Ending - 96

Overall - This movie is awesome. I think every person would like it. It has great characters, great plot, and great death scenes. I loved it and you will too.

Overall - 95/A

Should you buy it or watch it? I would buy it, but that's just me. I like these movies and always have. I say if you like thrilling and gory movies, buy this. If you don't like gore and not that thrilling of a movie, yet you want it to be scary, watch "Darkness Falls". I hated that movie, but it is more tamed than FD2. Well, whatever. You choose. Just remember: "You Can't Cheat Death Twice"!

Summary: A worthy effort
Review: Nobody goes into this sort of movie expecting Academy Award worthy performances or deep dramatic content. What they do expect are elaborate death scenes and a few laughs. Fortunately, Final Destination 2 delivers on both fronts.

Picking up a year after the first film left off, we learn that Alex, the main character from the first film, was eventually hunted down by death and finished off once and for all. In an effort to save herself, Clear (Ali Larter) checked herself into a mental institution, where she lives in a padded room, hoping and praying that she'll be safe.

When Kimberly has visions of a massive highway accident, she pulls an Alex and stops traffic, eventually saving the lives of a handful of seemingly unrelated people. Because this group cheated death, he's after them with a vengence, and he's not pulling any punches.

The filmmakers don't pull any punches either, as FD2 contains some of the most gruesome and elaborate death scenes ever captured on film. You'll literally cringe when watching characters get decapitated, impaled, and squashed like ants. These scenes put those of the first film to shame.

The acting is sub-par, with the exception of Ali Larter's performance as Clear. The stereotypical "oh god, what are we going to do now?" lines are in place, and the plot is pretty much a carbon copy of the original, but all and all, this isn't that bad of a film, especially for fans of the original. This may be trash, but it's entertaining trash.
