Summary: The thriller of all time
Review: If anyone has told you that seeing this movie twice would ruin the movie the second viewing, ignore them- and tell them to watch this DVD. I only buy DVD's that are 'special edition' or 'collectors edition'- so i had to buy this the day it came out. the director has put so much thought into the shaping of this DVD it is amazing and worth the money. Especially one special feature: Rules and Clues. All the things you may have missed throughout the movie, and proof that the ending was legitimate. Incredible. Don't pass this one up.

Summary: My comments
Review: Ok, I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I didn't see anything special about this film. It starts out great; very effective and spooky. But then the film basically goes nowhere and then stops with what I feel is almost a cop-out of an ending. There really is no conclusion. Looking back on the film after having seen it, there really isn't much to the story as it is. It's an ok film, and Osmet and Willis are both good, I just wish they had more of a story to work with.

Summary: MOST AWESOME FILM
Review: THIS MOVIE IS A NON STOP AWESOME MOVIE FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT YET, GO AND RENT AND WATCH IT. BELIEVE ME, IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. THE ACTING AND GRAPHICS WERE AWESOME, IF YOU JUMP REAL EASY IN SCARY MOVIES, THIS IS A MAJOR JUMPER. ALL IN ALL, THIS MOVIE HAS BEEN THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME.

Summary: Fantastic Movie marred by bad DVD encoding
Review: This is a fantastic film. Highly deserving of all the praise lavished upon it.

Everyone's talking about the film...I'd like to point out the DVD encoding.

The shame is that the DVD encoding requires that the user sit through or skip past more than 10 separate bits of marketing gibberish before it is possible to get to a menu or the movie.

First there's the more copious than normal legal stuff, the production company logos, a 'now in theaters' section with trailers, and a 'now on video' section with still more trailers.

If someone wanted to watch all this, there's a handy menu option that launches all this extraneous material but no, there's a marketing weasel somewhere who's all kinds of happy that he or she came up with a way to exploit an audience waiting to be captivated by an excellent film. Instead, the audience must be subjected to the endless drivel that no other DVD foists upon unsuspecting fans.

2 of the 4 players that I tested this on would not even let me skip these bits of tripe.

This is a masterful piece of film making that unfortunately should suffer because of the delivery in the DVD format. The additional content is fantastic and worth the effort to see but it is marred by a disappointing (albeit merely inconvenient) encoding.

Summary: The Sixth Sense
Review: When I saw this movie I expected an average Bruce Willis movie ( At Best). Then I was surprised he can act. After I left the theater with my wife we couldn't stop talking about it for days. In an age when seeing a movie then afterwards you then wonder what do you want to do next. This movie makes you think and makes you believe in "seeing dead people". Rent it buy it see it.

Summary: Great Payoff, Slow Start
Review: Sure, The Sixth Sense had a great ending, but the whole first hour was a bit slow. Once you got to the end and looked back on it, the whole thing was intriguing, but it was still a long first hour. The only thing that sustained me through the first hour was the absolutely gripping performance from Haley Joel Osment (who was robbed of awards this award season!).

Summary: I was wowed!
Review: My family and I went to see it in the theaters and we were all blown away! Even my dad LOVED it, and he's tough to please movie-wise. Halley Joel Osment- wow. He was AWESOME. Every time I hear the line "I see dead people" I get chills. I never thought an acting job like that could come out of a boy that young! Bruce Willis was outstanding as well! He did an excellent job as the psychologist! I won't spoil it for the two or three people who haven't seen this wonderful flick, but the ending was SPECTACULAR! My jaw hit the floor and stayed there! You could hear the gasp of everyone in the room when it happened! And the horror? Oh yeah! It's not the "teen slasher guy in a costume with a chainsaw kills everyone" movie. The scares in this flick come so unexpectantly you nearly have a heart attack when it happens. Even when you know something is about to happen your heart stops when it does! I jumped clear out of my seat every time! To sum it up, 6th Sense is the greatest horror movie- no, wait- the greatest movie I have ever seen. The acting was superb, the story was amazing, and I still get chills thinking about it!

Summary: Chilly wonderment
Review: From the moment Cole's haunting face comes on the camera, and he says those trembling words, "I see dead people," I fell under the rapturous spell of "The Sixth Sense". It truly is a work of masterful storytelling and a cinematographer's paradise. Stealing the film is Haley Joel Osmet, giving a performance in a terribly difficult role. Much is made of the twist at the end, which totally surprised me, but the entire film works as a whole, and teaches some important lessons.

The DVD version of this film is extraordinary. The bonus material added much to my own enjoyment. There is a section called "Rules and Clues" in which the filmmakers discuss the rules laid out in the film, and unnoticed visual reminders throughout. I found it particularly bothersome to have to scroll through a few previews before getting to the main screen... but once there, it was worth it!

Summary: DVD - almost perfect
Review: I really enjoyed this movie, so I picked up the DVD version as soon as it came out. The disc is pack with bonus material and for the most part the quality is great, but I was disappointed by the movie previews they placed on the disc before the menu pops up. While you can skip them by hitting next, I felt that placing the previews on the begining cheapened the DVD.

Summary: "The Sixth Sense"-An Excellent Movie!
Review: This movie was one of the best from 1999! Bruce Willis played a somewhat silent role letting Haley Joel Osment take over the movie. I think he deserved to win the Oscar for his role because he showed ammazing talent for such a young actor! I recommend that anyone who has not seen the movie at the theater rent it now on video or DVD. I had to buy the movie so I could watch it again and again!
