Summary: Good idea-BAD execution
Review: I would like to say that this movie had a good idea, but I wasexpecting much more. This movie was advertised so much that I wantedmore. I expected more dead people, the movie to have a darker atmosphere. What we got is movie that was getting pretty boring by the half way point. The ending was clever. The only BRILLIANT part of the movie was the little kid's acting. If you liked this you will also like "A stir of echoes" , I prefer it more. END

Summary: 8 minutes of previews kills the movie
Review: I really enjoyed this movie. While I was able to figure out the twist about 20 minutes into the movie (for a far superior twist ending, watch Jacob's Ladder) I still enjoyed the movie because of the great preformances by Willis and Osmett (sp?. I give the movie its self 4 1/2 stars.That said, I'd like to get my hands on the thoughtless jerks who put 8 minutes of non skippable previews at the begining of this movie. My DVD player won't skip past them. And this isn't whining. My desire to rewatch this movie is now zero thanks to these previews. Because of the previews, i give the DVD 1 star. Don't waste your money.

Summary: A movie for people who don't know anything about movies
Review: This was the fourth best film of the 5 Oscar nominees, but it wasn't even that good. You realize the "trick ending" about 10 minutes into the film, and how it plays out after that is enough to make you giggle. In terms of Bruce Willis films, this is above average -- better than Armageddon and Mercury Rising, but not as good as The Last Boy Scout and Color of Night. The kid was good, but was given very little to work with, and thank God they cut out those lame scenes with the old man. The fact that the director fought to keep those scenes and hated to lose them proves that he is a cornball who will have a bright future making Spielberg-type films that lack edge. There are at least 56 X-Files episodes that blow this film away.

Review: Finally! A movie worth watching! As long as no one has said anything about it, everyone should enjoy it. Excellent plot! Very fresh idea! I would give it 5 stars, but I don't feel it was in that elite group. 4.5 stars yes! This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat! My Apex DVD player was flawless with the video. If you don't see this movie, you are missing a good one. DVD is the way to go!

Summary: A Good Movie, A Bad DVD
Review: The Sixth Sense was a good movie. I feel an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture was probably overly generous (Best Actor, however, was deserved) but nonetheless a fine film. However the trailers / previews commented on by others very much irritated me also. Yes you can forward through the various trailers as chapters but it is irksome. I have no objection to trailers / previews being a menu option, but being forced to watch them or forced to skip them is frustrating. I too will not buy another DVD from this company unless they change this policy. So then, four stars for the film, two for the DVD, for an average of three.

Summary: what a shame for not rewarding this one with Oscars
Review: I was so bummed on Oscar Night. What a movie, what can I say. A superb performance by young Haley Joel Osment. Kept me intrigued from beginning to end, oh and the ending, it was just great. I saw this movie twice in the theatre, and I could still watch it again, and again. Absolutely recomended.
