Summary: GREATEST HORROR I'VE SEEN IN A WHILE!
Review: I think this may even be the best, period. I really enjoyed (recently) this movie and Jeepers Creepers II. These two movies are the best horror films they've come out with in a while. Bravo!

Summary: SICK AND WISTED........I LOVE IT
Review: This was probably the BEST Horror film i have ever seen.... IT is like a SICK Mix of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSICRE and DELIVERENCE. That is the way horror movies are supposed to be, grotesque close-ups, something around every corner, and no where to hide. Awesome film. Very highly recomended for the those of you that have the guts and the stomach. HA HA

Summary: Backwoods Cannibals in West Virginia!!!
Review: All the "missing persons" in the world are apparently being abducted by aliens or eaten by cannibalistic inbreeders! "Wrong Turn" is a respectable movie in the horror genre. There are some genuinely tense moments with plenty of gore that makes even a horror-film buff like myself cringe when I think of them. However, this is more predictable "teens stranded in the woods and are hunted by killer(s)" type of plot. For instance, when four of the young ones are in a glorified shack in the woods. One says they should leave, another agrees, another looks around and agrees, another snoops and repeats the first, agreeing. "Yeah, we should leave!" Ooops, too late. That sort of nonsense had me irritated to no end. Also, and I'm sure I'm not the only movie-goer who is completely sick of this: the audience does not need a jarring swell in the score whenever something shocking happens. It would have been more grisly and shocking had there been no music at all, just the sound of the wind through the trees, the screams of the innocent dying on the wind, never to be heard again. Muahahahahhahahaha!!! Sorry for waxing diabolical. Anyway, as far as horror films go, one could certainly do worse than "Wrong Turn." Attractive young people being slain by cannibalistic inbreeders in gruesome ways. What more could any horror fan hope for?

Summary: One of 2003's worst.
Review: Eliza Dushku is gorgeous, let's just get that out of the way because that is the only reason to see this movie.

The plot of this movie is one we've seen time and time again. Teenagers make a "wrong turn" and end up lost or stranded in a dangerous place. But what's the scary thing about this movie? Well, imbread West Virginians of course. Seriously, couldn't we think up of a more frightening killer than imbread West Virginians? It's pretty cheesy. Even though the movie does have some tense moments and a few "pop out and scare yous", it still fails to earn your money.

Rent it.

Summary: Bloody Hotties Part MCVII
Review: Um, it's crap, folks. It's yet another gory time-passer, only we have sort of the current wave of young hotties a'la "Friends" or "Buffy". Fans of both shows, and assorted other sadists might find something to enjoy here, but for the horror buffs out there, it's a big, dead zero on all fronts. Tired plot, pointlessly grisly, takes itself too seriously, not enough nudity, and not bad enough to qualify for the wonderful "good because it's so bad" MST3K treatment. Interestingly, they pin this one together with "28 Days Later"--a *good* film--for a joint-buy recommendation at Amazon. Go figure. The only reason to buy this hunk of dog poo is to immediately watch a good film ("28 Days...")afterwards, thereby increasing the better film's impact several-fold. Or in this case, by comparison, 100-fold.

Summary: Better than expected.
Review: After watching the horrible/dreadful "Cabin Fever", I almost decided against seeing "Wrong Turn" because I did not want to waste another 90 minutes of my life. Well, I didn't.

"Wrong Turn" was an example of an incredibly good scary movie with lots of uneasy tension that does not let up until the very end of the movie. I literally sat on the edge of my seat in fear and anxiety of what would happen next.

I consider THIS movie a "GOOD" horror flick definitely reccommended for those who like this type of genre.

for movie plot, see other descriptions, I just felt warranted to give my star rating based on my viewing experience of movie.

Summary: good movie, hot girls can't go WRONG
Review: Set deep in the woods, a group of friends goes on vacation to get away from it all. Before long they find that they are in the middle of something they can begin to believe. A group of deformed creatures living in the woods who take everyone out of their path who dares to enter their woods. I know seems like a typical horror movie. But it's much more graphic then you would think. Some of the parts it the movie are the most bloody and graphic I have ever seen you can't help but cringe during a few of them. Real good special effects with a cast of atractive women and men. Yes i know typical again, but give it a chance it's actually really good. Go rent it first then see, you might want to go buy it who knows. But if you like special effects and blood this is a good movie to add to your collection.

Summary: CAUTION contains spoilers!!
Review: Once again we have a predictable movie with a worn out plot and the usual too small group of Young Sexy Future Dead Meats (YSFDMs).

Idiot decides to drive down a dirt road in a Mustang. The map indictates that the road is partially an unimproved jeep trail, but idiot goes down it anyhow. It's difficult to have sympathy for characters who are as dumb as rocks. He's a medical student. God help his future patients. He probably uses leeches.

Idiot YSFDM is driving with his eyes off the road when he slams into a stranded SUV (in)conveniently left in the middle of the road by 5 other YSFDMs. This is the only truly disturbing moment in the film. The filmmakers actually destroy a classic 67 Mustang.

The 5 YSFDMs are other college students on a pleasure outing. Apparently among these 5 YSFDMs not one of them has the brains to unwrap the barbed wire that caused the flat tire and then CHANGE TO THE SPARE TIRE! The barbed wire shown is incapable of causing a flat in a steel belted all terrain tire (I Know this from personal experience).

So here we have 6 YSDFMS. Omigosh, look there's an extra female YSFDM for First Idiot YSFDM to hook up with. How convenient. Naturally the movie is populated by a random cluster of suspiciously attractive YSFDMs.

Next comes the big thing not to do when lost. Don't split up. Of course they immediately do. On top of this YSDFM #1 has been only driving about a mile or two down this road. He could say "The main road is only about a couple of miles thataway, let's walk." But of course he doesn't. He could also say, "I'll help you change your tire. Where's the spare?" But of course he doesn't do that either.

Next, the two YSFDMs who stayed with the SUV decide to have premarital sex. We all know what's going to happen to them now, don't we? Well, it does. Hillbilly lunch.

The movie continues on. Two of the YSFDMs are soon to be married. This is supposed to build empathy. Instead it's like having them wear T-shirts that say "EAT ME". We are of course subjected to the obligatory phony "scares" where female YSFDM hides in order to jump out of the side of the screen at male YSFDM. My brain really begins to shut down here and I'm gazing longingly at my new DVD of "The Searchers" that just arrived in the mail. Put it down, Honey. There's only another hour of Wrong Turn left to go.

Naturally the idiots end up at the shack of the Redneck Cannibals(TM). It's amazing how the entire forests of America are popluated with Demonic Cannibalistic Perverted Inbred Rednecks (DCPIRs). One wonder exactly who these Hollywood people are. Have they ever left their crime ridden concrete jungles?

The YSFDMs naturally enter the shack even though nobody is at home. This is a crime in all 50 States. Now they thoroughly deserve their fates.

Anyhow the movie continues on in this vein with implausible scene after implausible scene. But the most implausible is that a Game Warden is killed by the DCPIRs and the entire force of Game Wardens, Forestry Service personnel and State Troopers complete with helicopters and bloodhounds don't show up a few hours later. And how on earth could a trio of DCPIRs eating dozens of tourists only a couple of miles from a major highway not be discovered? The West Virginia Police are not this incompetent.

This is mindnumbingly lazy and incomptent screenwriting. And the ending is as one expects. Naturally the superhuman DCPIRs survive so we can have sequel after sequel after sequel. This is so old hat now. Please. It's not the least bit entertaining any more.

Creativity is non-existent in Hollywood. Wrong Turn is a prime example of cynical filmmaking at its worst.

Summary: Cannibalistic, inbread hicks in the woods of West Virginia
Review: This movie is actually quite decent, and it IS scary, which of course is an important element in any horror movie! I was also quite entertained by this movie, even though the plot is somewhat corny.

Not very surprisingly, the movie is about a guy making a wrong turn, or rather something he thinks is a shortcut. He's a slick, young dot-com type of professional, driving his nice, vintage Mustang, and he's of course got a serious "I'm better and more important than you because I've got an important job and plenty of money" attitude. While driving on this beautiful forest road, not at all paying attention to the road, he accidentally hits a car that's stopped in the middle of the road with a flat tire. The car belongs to a few teenagers, and they have just driven over some barbed wire that appears to have been laid across the road on purpose. They split up with someone going for help, and others staying behind by the car. That's where the fun starts. Things start happening quite quickly. Does it have cannibalistic, inbread hicks in it? Sure does!

Even though the movie itself might not appeal to many people looking for a high quality movie, I frankly enjoyed it. It still isn't exactly a great movie, but I would rate it as a high 3, just short of a 4. So therefore - 3 STARS, and despite the seemingly low rating, I'd recommend you watch it if you're looking for a straight forward scary movie with lots of suspense and gore.

Summary: ONE SCARY FLICK!
Review: Which one of us hasn't been traveling and made the wrong turn? Did you ever have that thought in the back of your mind of just what kind of people you are going to encounter? If you have, you will know the chill factor in "Wrong Turn."
Taking place in West Virginia, a young man takes a wrong turn.
Driving down a desolate road he runs right into another car filled with more young people, and the show begins.
Inbred Mountain Cannibal men are licking their chops as they see breakfast, lunch and dinner before them. Gross!
This movie has many heart stopping moments, lots of gore and was fast paced. I think what troubled me the most is the fact that we do not know who lives in all these little tucked away areas of our land now do we? Remember that next time you travel, it could stop you from being someone's dinner! A movie all horror fans will enjoy!
