Review: Monkey Shines is one of those movies were pets are the killers and this one just dosn't work thanks to bad direction and wooden acting but the film has a few effective scenes. A man is left paralyzed and he has a monkey helping him till his scientist friend injects human brains in the monkey and soon the monkey starts a rampage of murders. Despite some good special effects this worthless movie is Romero's worst movie since his blunders Season of the Witch and Day of the Dead. Monkey Shines is a terrible movie for fans of Romero only.

Review: Romeros big screen follow up to Day of the Dead is an ambitious little thriller that much to my surprise having last seen it back in 1990 has stood the test of time rather well.
The performances range from slightly campy to rather beleivable.
The story,narrative and direction are linear and the monkey steals the show.
Savini and his fx crew have little to do here but they do make the dummy monkeys look realistic.
There are no special features on this dvd but the picture and sound are crisp.
So as long as you dont expect a full blown blood feast or an oscar driven picture this might be a nice little surprise.

Review: this is about a handicapped guy that gets a onkey to help him out. the monkey thinks and sees what the guy does, just like they are one. The guy gets mad at his mom and hates her, so, the monkey does too and kills her. Its kinda confusing, weird , and tottally not scary, but what the heck, what do you espect out of a monkey?

Review: This is actually one of the funniest movies ive ever seen in my life From the psycho killer monkey to the man in the wheelchair, this movie will have you roaring in laughter. Although this movie is disguised as a horror, it is actually a comedy(not meant to be a comedy.) When you see this little monkey kill someone it is so funny that if your parents walked in on you theyd think you are on drugs because you are laughing so hard at something so stupid.But this is whats so great about the movie, its so stupid that its funny. I mean they never even explain why this monkey (...) kills people, it just goes on a killing rampage and doesn't stop until it feeds it thirst for blood. This is definately a must see movie.Everyone who talks negatively about this movie is either blind or has no sense of humor.
